Dream Tattoo and What Does it Mean to You?: My dream tattoo is a pair of wings on my back. What it means to me is that my family always saw me as the scapegoat/demon because I saw the world differently than them. That post where someone said that the most broken thing ab the current education system is how we are conditioned to work alone and never look for help. This person was telling how they held a seminar for people in a company and there was a task like, to test what hey remembered, and everyone sat in silence and alone until this person was like “uh... you guys realize you can ask for help and consult the material right?”

And like, it’s so dumb. When you’re in a work place, you can do these things. You can (and sometimes must) work with others. You can refer back to manuals and materials, you don’t have to memorize everything and work by yourself.

The education system is dumb as fuck.

This being an American centric post, from what I remember learning, a lot of the infrastructure for our education system was created for preparing kids for work after child labor was outlawed. To be clear, I am not an expert on this subject, but by hook or by crook, it just seems like schools have always been at least vaguely shaped for this big picture wise, including classic hits like:

How to follow orders

How to memorize reams of mindless information and repeat it verbatim, on command

How to be “self sufficient”

Self sufficient = not asking for assistance unless you really, really need it and, even then, Doubt™️

Don’t stop working under anything but these select circumstances or it may cost you dearly

Even if you stopped working under the preapproved circumstances, you will almost certainly still be penalized on some level, possibly worse than if you’d gone rogue, so don’t stop working

Do not argue with authority figures, it will end Badly

It’s absolutely improved in certain areas, but like, when it feels soul crushing, that’s probably because it was designed to crush souls in time for folks to enter the work force. We need to make some serious changes, and I’d love to see them in my lifetime.

I’d like to add that they had to put a Special Education part in there. And then treat us (because I’m apart of Special Ed) as we are stupid or a threat. Especially since some of us can’t handle how the school system is structured.

I took College Prep courses for the stupidest stuff, and it stressed me out to the point where I nearly clocked myself out. The people in the Special Education department know that the school system is fucking everyone up, hence why they told me they have a lot more students considered “Special Ed.”

The American School System needs to get reformed.

So, today was my last day for the interviews I needed to go through for HRT. That’s great! The problem is my family. They’re not supportive of LGBTQ+ at all, and with me being trans, I know very much well they won’t accept me. So, I’m looking for an apartment, as well as a car so I can go and get the shots for my treatment.

The thing is, I don’t have enough money for both. So, I’m willing to work for it. I crochet a lot, as well as create art. I would like to be commissioned if I can, in order to at least get a car that works properly.
