Life kills!
tumblr has like genuinely ingrained in me that the idea of being fat isn't just neutral but it's actually awesome and it's done more for my self-esteem than years of eating disorder treatment
It's always "gender isn't real! Do whatever you want forever!" until a trans woman comes into view, then "afabs have a unique and innate connection to womanhood that amabs cannot ever have." But also "tme/tma is just recreating the gender binary!" And later when trans women speak about how we're discriminated against even by tme queer people it's "we're all faggots in the eyes of the state!"
It's not a coincidence that this is exactly the same kind of goalpost moving that you see literally every kind of bigot engage in.
Autumn Hill.
a trans woman sentenced to rape for life because she happened to be at a protest where a cop was killed.
a trans woman being arrested for something she didnt do is not a coincidence.
this is why we talk about transmisogyny.
yk i think the fundamental problem is that transmascs dont believe that they belong to a different demographic than us transfems. i think its that they still believe in a Trans Community of one demographic - the Trans Demographic, with one unified Trans Experience, rather than that of women and men who share a marginalization
this shows up when transfems make posts for and about other transfems, and invariably transmascs will come along to try and make it about them as well. they dont see it as a womens post, they see it as a Trans post that hasnt mentioned transmascs yet
this also shows up in discussions of transmisogyny. transfems discuss the intersectional bigotry we face and transmascs will get defensive that the conversation centres us and not the Trans Demographic as a whole. this is where "transandrophobia" theory comes in, from transmascs misconstruing transmisogyny as just "transphobia for girls" and insisting there must be a transphobia for boys in return, and to deny "transandrophobia" legitimacy is to deny that transmascs face any transphobia. its morphed into its own transmisogynist violence at this point but its inception was very clearly fueled by the transmasc insecurity over there not being one Trans Experience. transmascs think there has to be a blue version, because they dont conceive of transfems belonging to a different demographic than them
i think no small part of this is that transmasculine transition doesnt force them to reckon with transmisogyny the same way transfeminine transition does. of course, it would be wrong to claim no transfem falls victim to this, but far more transfems do have that reckoning because we are forcibly subjected to transmisogyny. and because transmascs flatten the demographic to just Trans, they believe themselves to have a postion of authority to speak on trans issues without ever being forced to interrogate their inherent transmisogynist biases from living in a transmisogynist society and understand the misogyny within the demographic, and any pushback against them is pushback against the Trans Demographic as a whole
my problem with all of this is that nobody who needs to hear it is going to listen to me, because ultimately were dealing with men, moreover: marginalized men, and men prefer to revel in their power to speak over women and take up space and assume they know best rather than listen to the women in their "community" when we tell them theyre wrong. after all, what reason do transmascs have to think otherwise? i mean, were all faggots in the eyes of the state, right?
It's like. you don't get your own childhood. not "didn't get the childhood you wanted," it's "didn't get a childhood that was yours." and you're supposed to be normal about it. and people tell you Oh you didn't miss much it was bad and awful for xyz reasons you really don't Actually want to be raised as a girl. well, what if I was a girl anyway and everyone acted like I wasn't. called me a name that wasn't mine. told me I was a person I wasn't until I believed it and clung to that fake person until I saw it was cutting into my hands. it wasn't mine. that child wasn't me; wasn't allowed to be me; wasn't even allowed to know there was a me. what if, on a very real level, my childhood was not mine? what if I wanted a childhood where I was actually seen, even if it hurts? and I'm supposed to be normal about it
you're just mad because you're hungry and tired and your legs hurt and you head hurts and you're too hot and you have depression

"Getting into this hobby is actually super cheap and easy!!!! First, start with a section of land and a house that you own and can mess up at your discretion"
The original inspiration for this is that I've looked up a lot of basic woodworking stuff multiple times to try and make better and better tortoise enclosures, and ended up in this trap every time lmao
"It's much cheaper to just buy this size of wood and take it to your table saw" WHAT FUCKING TABLE SAW
the secret is that people who have a garage with a table saw are constantly looking for reasons to justify that use of space and money. so if you find somebody with a table saw and ask if you can use it, you're actually doing them a huge favor by justifying the saw continuing to take up space. "of course I need a table saw. what if somebody needs to upgrade a turtle enclosue."
#1. go to local gay bar 2. find group of 50-60 yr olds. 3. ask if anyone has a table saw 4. watch eyes light up
With this four step plan you get a place to practice woodworking with optional sex with some older men
For anyone wanting it, they can cut your material for you at most Home Depots if you need it
But can I have sex with older men there
I am never leaving this site

Why do so many people make tiktoks while they're clearly driving. What the fuck. Stop that shit, you're gonna kill someone.
I think people online treat driving too casually tbh, like there was a poll about people's bad habits while driving and they weren't bad habits or problematic or whatever, they were all things that literally kill people every single day. You are driving a massive vehicle that can very easily turn into a murder weapon with your carelessness, take this shit seriously.
"Haha I never use my turn signals" you are going to kill someone.
"I don't do full stops at stop signs lol" you are going to kill someone.
"Sometimes I text while I'm driving 🤭" YOU ARE GOING TO KILL SOMEONE.
this is a statement from victryena, a trans woman of color who was mass harassed by (mostly) white trans women on twitter for reposting a protest sign saying "white trans people are oppressors too". the sign itself was a response to septembersister, a black trans woman and refugee in canada, having her speech suppressed at the vancouver transgender march protest. here is her full speech, made later. i am platforming them because they need to be heard, and the content of their words is urgently relevant to the current state of transfeminist discourse.
