Since we’re all talking about the reasons why we’re going to miss AoS, can we take a moment to appreciate how INCREDIBLE the action sequences on this show have been? The fight choreography, the stunt work? Some of the best on television, full stop.

Daisy & Sousa: *holding hands*

Daisy & Sousa: *start making out*

You know what I love most about this scene obviously other than absolutely everything?

I believe Sousa. I don’t think he had any “intentions” up to that point. He met this very impressive, very cool, very fun woman who he had promised to run backup for, then she got captured and tortured on his watch, and so he made it his mission to get her home and watch over her and take care of her however he could while she recovered.

And during that time of COURSE he started falling for her because who wouldn’t? She’s brave and capable and powerful and righteous, and he’s known people (and especially women) like that, and he knows how cruel the world can be to them. And the more he finds out about her past, the more he has that confirmed.

So he continues to stay by her side and be there for her and maybe lets himself fall for her a little bit. But not for ONE SECOND does he presume that she feels the same, or try to push romance onto her. Even Time Loop Sousa didn’t broach the conversation until she asked for honesty, didn’t kiss back until she kissed first.

I think he’s telling the truth; he didn’t have any “intentions”. He wasn’t being the way he was being to gain her affections; that’s just how he is. He wasn’t doing the things he was doing to get her to like him, or to make her feel that she owed him; he just wanted to do things for her. He just wanted to support her and care for her and back her up because that’s what she deserved. That’s why he looks so genuinely surprised here:

He didn’t have any intentions, but now that he knows that his feelings might actually be reciprocated, well? He got some, and quick.

Basically, I loved these scenes, I love this ship, I love these two for each other, and next week will undoubtedly wreck me. Thank you for attending my TED talk.

Hey, so quick question:

IS THAT KYLE FUCKING MACLACHAN?!?!???!

My brain: But the 28th Infantry didn’t HAVE paratrooper units in World War II, so did the writers just make a mistake or did they mean to say the 82nd Airborne, which could also nominally explain why he was at Bastogne, which neither the 28th NOR the 82nd were present at, but maybe he was transferred to the 101st Airborne division which WAS at Bastogne after they suffered such heavy losses, and -

Me: *not understanding*

Me: *remembering that there are people who have good relationships with their mothers*
