I read this poem today and it was too good not to share.
The poem that Spock/Ambassador Kollos reference in the episode "Is There in Truth No Beauty?"
Found in the wild at a used book store.
Conservative beauty standards are back with a vengeance which means it's especially important to go out this summer with bellies out and bodies unshaved. Also be unapologetically disabled with mobility aids and wearable medical devices and stim toys and ear defenders and all that stuff. You need it. People need to see it. Everyone needs to be reminded that life is unquestioningly more enjoyable when you're not living inside an arbitrary set of rules created by people who are offended by all the wrong things.
"gender is a social construct": fairly easy for leftists to understand
"race is a social construct": a bit harder to swallow for some but still reasonable
"mental illness is a social construct": this one gets you hate mail in your inbox
Gotta add previous tags on here, because this is gonna live rent free in my head from now on. The stars are real, constellations are not. Damn. Tags by @smoreofbabylon (if you donāt want me to put you on blast like this Iāll delete lol!)
I believe, as with all labels, that labeling a mental illness should be for the benefit of the person with the mental illness (i.e. getting treatment and support) NOT so that other people can put them in a category
whenever someone says "blorbo from my shows" i picture ryou bakura. not in the sense that he's my blorbo but in that in my mind he sort of abstractly represents the concept of a blorbo. he could be blorbo from anyone's shows. he's the blorbo class representative, a stand-in for all blorbos from all shows. sort of the platonic ideal of a blorbo
All I think of is these mfs
My Time Has Come

It's almost 5 am. I am still on the couch.
Me literallt right now...
There is actually a term for this: Revenge Bedtime Procrastination.
Essentially you, "take revenge" on the lack of free/leisure time you had during the day by staying up later to reclaim free time.
Personally I think it's a very reasonable (if maladaptive) response to the modern mindset grindset capitalist hellscape that is modern work-life balance.
Star Trek: The Reanimated Series Now back to other illustrations and seeing my friends again before my terrible short term memory makes me forget how time consuming animation is and has me starting a new one
Spock: "Capta-"
Spock (internally): Wait a second. This is a highly inappropriate display of emotion.
Spock (mildly panicking): I am touching him. I should let him go.
Jim: *projecting affection mentally and physically*
Spock (internally): *sensed that* I am a Vulcan, I will behave as a disciple of Surak ought.
Spock (secretly gratified): At least Jim was pleased to see such an outburst, unbecoming as it was.

1. borrowing misery from future
2. carrying grief of the past
3. agonizing over the present
4. Wallowing in self-pity (timeless)
if youāre having a bad day, hereās a cute little marching band
It just keeps going and getting better. *^^*
Me two minutes ago: ācry with joy? an animation of cats playing instruments made someone cry with joy?ā
Me now: (sobs into a tissue) āOH MY GOD THAT ONE IS PLAYING TWO RECORDERS AT THE SAME TIMEā (blows nose)
CAT PARADE IS BACK
ALWAYS reblog Cat Parade! ššš
And one of them has a little duck on its head š¤£
Iāve been blessed with the kitty marching band! I love them šš„°
GIVE YOURSELF A 2 MINUTE PRESENT.
YOU DESERVE TO STOP AND EXPERIENCE A SIMPLE JOY.
Never not reblogging the cat parade!
Mildly annoyed that this isnāt actually the full video, so here it is:
#i vaguely that there was a sequel to this that was HD
Apparently you correctly!

Beep boop! I look for accidental haiku posts. Sometimes I mess up.
Call me naive, but I don't think everything has to be some complex, nuanced, big-brain take. Sometimes simple truths can be just that, simple.
I have been dying to share this picture from our sub board at my school. So here it is
4-year old in my class: "I saw a rainbow yesterday"
Me: "Oh yeah?"
Child: "Yeah, it was on top of your head"
Me: "How was it on my head?"
Child, laughing: "It was on your head because you're crazy!"
Thanks š„“
As an asexual itās so wild to me how normal having sex is like people just be casually doing that shit, what do you mean like everyone I know has had sex a bunch thatās Crazy, what the hell? what do you mean itās weird that I havenāt and donāt want to?? what do you mean thatās real and not just that thing from tv ????
Where does my self-confidence come from?
The four year-olds I work with called me pretty and they haven't learned to be polite yet, so I know they're not telling me that just to be nice. In fact, very often they are not nice.
