I actually do think we should discourage women from becoming housewives. Do not become financially dependent on a man. That's how a lot of women ended up dead over the years. Adding on this post to say that absolutely, do not, never become a stay-at-home girlfriend. Never become a housewife either, but at least for a housewife, if you ever get divorced, your contributions at home that made it so your partner could dedicate himself to work are generally recognised in court if you ever get divorced. Some people claim they do it because they want to show their support to Palestine, apparently some others find that understandable or say it's a nuanced situation.

I am very rare in that I did not experience medical violence.

Why? Because I learned what intersexuality was as a young age, and I actively fought against what doctors wanted to do to me. All the way down to legal research on what medical care minors can be forced into. I remember walking into that doctor's appointment with the state law written down that proved that if I did not consent they could not do surgery.

That is why intersex activism is important. It saved me and it will save more.
