Are you a disabled person who wants to help a disabled researcher study sexuality education for disabled people? Take this anonymous online survey!
You must be aged 18+ and born after 1989.

Edited to add: Since a lot of people are reblogging this original post, I'm adding the updated version I did that incorporates the intersex circle...
I know intersex people are still getting excluded in a lot of LGBTQIA+ spaces (let alone wider society) and I think it's crucial to show this group is included in the statement that we all deserve equal rights.

Huh. Born after 89.. I’m too old 😭😭📟💾📠👵
Sorry, friend, it's because of the passage ADA and IDEA! That changed the educational landscape so much, and there would be a stark line in the data for access. Thank you for sharing it though!
"Pride month is over"
WRONG! Your pride month is over! Me and all the other disabled queers are having pride month two: disability edition
Reblogging this again bc people in the notes are asking a lot of "Am I included? Am I disabled if I have x?" and I just wanted to add the flag here to show people who the pride month is for.
This is the new flag, the old one was more vivid and in a z shape, but it's been made more neutral to be inclusive of people with seizures or sensory issues.
Each stripe represents a different aspect of disability:
Red: Physical disabilities
Yellow: Cognitive & intellectual disabilities
White: (And this is the key one I think) Invisible AND undiagnosed disabilities
Blue: Mental illnesses
Green: Sensory disabilities
If you're autistic or have ADHD? this is your pride month. If you have a mental illness, it's your pride month. If you're hard of hearing, this is your pride month. If you have an autoimmune disorder, this is your pride month. If you are not diagnosed with anything but you know something is up with you: THIS IS STILL YOUR PRIDE MONTH.
PRIDE MONTH 2 LETS GOOOO!
Happy disability pride month to everyone with ptsd, happy disability pride month to everyone with complex ptsd, happy disability pride month to everyone who questions if their problems are big enough to count as a disability, happy disability pride month to anyone who questions if their problems count as a physical or mental disability, happy pride month to everyone who has a disability that causes people to stare, and to those whose disabilities are hidden, happy disability pride month to everyone who deals with any kind of disability physical or mental, you’re all badass and I want you to remember that this month okay
Even if LGBTQ+ Pride month is coming to an end,
Don’t keep your spirits too low, because Disability Pride month is just around the corner!
So remember! just because you don’t see a disability, doesn’t mean it’s not there!
Assume the best out of someone, because even if 5/10 people who say they are disabled are faking (not true) that still leaves 5/10 who aren’t faking it, and they don’t deserve your doubt nor anyone’s cruelty.
Disabilities are fluid! Sometimes they are so debilitating that a person can’t get out of bed! Sometimes they will have boundless energy. They are no less valid.
Just because someone has more words and vocabulary to articulate their needs, their needs aren’t any less valid than someone with limited vocabulary to express those same needs! And this goes vice versa! Just because someone doesn’t have the vocabulary to explain what’s happening to them, they are no less valid than someone who does!
And remember, do not touch disabled people without express consent!
And do not touch their accessibility/mobility aids without permission! What if someone grabbed your glasses off your face, or what if someone grabbed your bag? Or your belt?
But it’s to ‘help’ you!
You aren’t helping people by touching their things, and likely are making it worse for them.
Love each other, because we are all the same on the inside, united under the fact that… we’re all here together, and what more could one want?
🖤❤️💛🤍💙💚🖤
Happy disability pride month!!!!
