Unlike Ghost, who retreats to the void in ball form, The Hollow Knight's shade seemingly gets obliterated by the burst of light emited by the Radiance upon receiving the final hit

The Hollow Knight not being on Sister of the Void can easily be explained away by "camera angle" and "TC wanted it vague"

But honestly? I think THK's shade doesn't even survive Dream No More in the first place

This aligns with the regular endings having it explode entirely, leaving no shade or even shell behind

Never caught that, damn. If that was the true ending F in chat for HK. BUT. There is a hint that the canon ending to Hollow Knight is Embrace the Void. The ending where, you know, Ghost becomes Shade Lord and HK exits the egg to Hornets (aggressive) surprise.

This tendrils are about to attack Hornet and Lace in Silksong true ending, about ready for the kill. And then…

Ghost helps save em. But notice the attack pattern and noise (you can’t right now as this is an image but look up the ending if you don’t believe me). It’s the exact same as Embrace the Void ending. Not the big old slaps.

But sharp strikes and the Shade Lord. Which only occurred thanks to the godseekers, not the void charm.

That’s pretty good evidence to me that HK is still alive by the ending of Hollow Knight.

Only reason I go on this tangent is because you tagged Silksong act 3 spoilers so I wanted to make sure another interpretation was up here. Excellent catch on the frame by frame though.

Stardew Valley lore is so crazy bc on the surface it’s marketed as a cozy farming game where you get to romance the townsfolk and become a beloved member of your community, but then you get about 10 hours into the game and suddenly it’s

- you’re magical, oh yeah also magic is real, a wizard told you to go learn all types of magic and you did

- there are ancient entities living in the mines and sewers beneath your feet, and they ARE fighting, just fyi

- there’s an ongoing war happening, that is probably why the economy is the way that it is btw

- animals can talk…just occasionally

- you’re haunted by the ghost of your grandfather, but rarely

- there are tiny creatures that will fix things for you in the night but only if you meet their hyper specific demands. also they’re scared of you

- Yoba is an alien (?)

- also the local shopkeeper’s daughter isn’t his she’s the wizard’s and a townswoman named Emily is a psychic, in case you were curious

- oh and there’s an omnipotent magic man who’s blue and committing a PLETHORA of crimes at any given moment. he’s scary
