Meet: Aletta McAllister! 🩷
Fun fact: I got the inspiration for her name from someone I met at Church! I'd never heard the name before, but I thought it fit her perfectly. Her last name was picked from a randomizer in the sims naming bar, and I thought the alliteration was a nice touch. (I'm awful at picking names)
Side note: Her hair is actually supposed to be the same magenta color as the streaks in her hair, but I didn't have the option to color match her whole head given the limited palette. I may actually stick with this look for her, though, since I like it (or add some streaks). I do also like the added single braid, so that will be part of her appearance apart from her high school years.
Aletta is a sugary-sweet, cheerful, upbeat and generally positive woman. She is a nurse who cares deeply about healing others and bringing them an equally safe peace of mind. Her hobbies include playing the piano and bringing healing through her music when she's not treating patients. She can also have a wild side but ultimately remains wholesome and a trusted confidant for many. She has magenta colored hair, and her lips have a natural curve that can make her appear as though she is always smiling. Her voice is high pitched with a slight rasp, and her eye color matches her hair. However, her hair appears red during her high school years.
Despite her cheerful and kind demeanor, she does also have a darker past.
Growing up, Aletta came from a family of violence, alcoholism, and abuse. Her father was incredibly abusive to Aletta's mother, leaving Aletta to often pick up slack around the house by cooking meals, repairing broken appliances, and parenting herself. While her mother is a kind and nurturing person, Aletta's father is a stark contrast. When they would go out as a family, he would take his family to bars and unpleasant environments, but Aletta would take interest in bar pianists which ignited her interest in music. As a result, Aletta occasionally plays the piano at bars in an effort to bring healing and comfort in an otherwise dark, unpleasant place. She can also play the pipe organ and plays the piano at a local church thanks to an invitation from Noelle.
Aletta also faced her own inner struggles as a teenager. She was bullied throughout elementary and middle school for her innocence and nativity, and her resentment and hate towards her father combined bred a new personality she developed for herself when she entered high school. Aletta became a "Queen B" bully, in an effort to separate herself from the "weak" person she appeared as before. This often revealed the kinds of people she would target, which was more of a reflection of her own self loathing and frustration. Before graduation, she is challenged by one of her targets, and she is hit with the realization of what she had become. She realizes that she was not focusing on things she had to be grateful for, and instead made herself a victim to her negative circumstances. This ultimately leads her to a significant change, such as pressing charges against her father, getting back in touch with her true self, and focusing on how she can contribute positively to the lives of others.
Aletta is good friends with Noelle Charm, who introduced her to church. Aletta thrives in that environment, and serves as a music teacher and charitable volunteer.
Other relationships are still being developed, and everything else is a work in progress. Her backstory is subject to fluidity based on the established universe she is thrown into.
