Irish girls do it better

Yesterday began my grand summer adventure. I am an only child, and I love to travel, so my mom constantly took me places. She is from Northern Ireland and my father is from India with the majority of his immediate family living in England. So I was a child of the world at birth. I was so lucky to have a mother who wanted me to experience life and the world. Weekend trips to New York City, cruises to the Caribbean, skiing trips, etc, were part of my childhood. Yearly summer vacations were as well. We always went somewhere as a family (myself, my mum, and my stepdad). Some of my fondest memories are of those vacations. I've been in love with Ireland since I was a girl. It's been in my blood. My mom took me "home" when I was 11 and I spent weeks that summer exploring the island my family called home. I took multiple trips to see my dads family in England for various weddings, celebrations, or just a long weekend stay in London. My cousins were all over England and Ireland so I would visit them in Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Edinburgh. When I was 16 my mom took me to Ireland again and I explored more. I had a sweet sixteen party with all my uncles and aunts and crazy cousins. We took a wild late night road trip up to Inverness, Scotland during that trip as well. My happy place has always been Ireland and the UK. Somewhere in between all that I spent time in Europe as a student ambassador. So thats the backstory of a defining part of my life. I love exploring, and I was lucky enough to have parents who wanted to me to explore the world. I have dual citizenship to the US and the UK, applied to uni in England. I was raised by a proper Irish lady and I'm proud of that. My boyfriend of three years is enamoured by travel and England and Ireland as well. So we planned a trip.
