The main foyer is in the middle of everything and also has an unnecessary wall. There are two bathtubs in "Mudroom & Laundry coat closet". The free-floating tables in the middle of a massive room where everything else is at the sides. 8 tiled rooms I hesitate to call bathrooms because one of them is just a room with a sink in it next to a room with THREE sinks in it. Bedroom 2 doesn't get a bed.

okay I have to go through this as someone who has worked on plans for single family homes. I don't do single family drawings anymore, but I did for like 3 years, so let me break down some other shit I'm seeing LMAOO

(I'm in the US so codes/requirements are different by country and even by state.) This is a ranch style home given there are no stairs. So this means every room we see here is the entirety of the home.

NO EXITS. Unless we count the garage there are no doors to the exterior.

THERES NO MECHANICAL ROOM. Not an ounce of hot water, or air conditioning in this home.

The random wall thicknesses?? None of it is consistent.

So much wasted space with random chases (and there's no furnace so you know those chases aren't for HVAC).

The "Mudroom + Laundry" Is a bathroom with two bathtubs, and no toilet. There's no washer/dryer anywhere in the home.

Full Bath # 2 has no tub/shower, no toilet, and 3 sinks. But don't worry! Bedroom 4 right below it has an additional sink, and no window so legally can't be called a bedroom.

The other bathrooms are a mess but let's get to the KITCHEN.

This home is DELUX with 3 kitchen sinks AND a wet bar all within the same area.

No location for an oven/stovetop with the walls like that.

this is one of TWO great new tooth therapies i've been very interested in!

I’ll be bringing this up in my coming review of Spidops but some of the official artwork looks directly traced (or even auto-generated, with a few touch-ups) from the in-game models and it damn near hurts my soul. The artwork is the “real face” of a Pokemon and typically has more personality than the 3d graphics, because the drawings and the models exist for different purposes. The models are made to function in a 3d animated game. The drawings are made to look good and represent the character. THIS DOES NOT LOOK GOOD, and it’s glaringly cheap for something that over a hundred artists on my dash every day could have done better. As I’ll also be repeating in the Spidops review, its tcg card shows how much personality its design is capable of conveying:

Guys….seriously…..Toedscruel here is 100% traced over the model. That’s not an interpretation or theory, this is a 3d model lightly painted over. That’s the only thing that looks like this. A human not only can’t reference the model and draw this flawlessly symmetrical 1:1 mathematical replication of it but would not want to because it looks terrible.

Look at tentacruel. This is art drawn from just a sketch. No two tentacles the same width, head bubbles slightly uneven, bell drawn imperfectly on purpose so that the silhouette looks cooler and more balanced, wrinkles and seams placed where they look good rather than where a 3-d object forced them to be.

YES THIS BOTHERED THE HECK OUT OF ME

That tiny little sliver of right eye is not enough to look good as a deliberate choice, if you presented this in an art class they’d tell you to either show more of the eye or none of it. This is one of those things that happens only by following the exact details of a 3d object you didn’t care to pose in an aesthetically pleasing way before converting it to faux-2d. They weren’t doing this in just Gen 8, look at Barraskewda for one example:

Even when they’re posed exactly the same you can see that not a single detail of the artwork was traced over the model. The artwork has organic “imperfection” and “looseness” that makes a drawing look alive and appealing. The model was sculpted secondarily, like an action figure, to imitate the artwork as best as it could, but by necessity exhibits ultra-precise symmetry.

Take the head spikes for just one little example: the spikes in the drawing are not actually the same perfect length, but are drawn in such a way that they TRANSLATE as the same length. It’s not a “flaw” that they aren’t geometrically true to life, it’s just how 2d drawing works. This aesthetically desirable “imperfection” cannot be replicated perfectly by the symmetrical CG model, where the spikes are “more obviously” the “correct” identical size but not necessarily what’s better looking, only more functional for three dimensional animation. If a 3d-2d blend is the point then there are better ways to do it, but what they’re suddenly trying to do is outright disguise 3d models as Ken Sugimori style watercolor cartoons and it looks not good.
