This may make me sound EXTREMELY old, but can the youth go back to stupid challenges like planking instead of dangerous ones? The “Benadryl Challenge” isn’t fun, it’s a speed run to end up an organ donor as a teenager. There are already several cases of teen deaths from participants.
Benadryl may be over the counter, but it is not harmless. At a high enough dose, it will depress the central nervous system which means you may stop breathing. Lack of oxygen to the brain will sometimes cause irreparable harm, or if not caught early enough, even brain death. There is no reversing brain death.
These challenges are not worth it.
