@audreycurious this is the ending to their amazing one-shot.
Virgil tapped nervously on the table. Roman looked at him awkwardly. Both of them didn’t know what to do, Patton had set this up.
“Soo… Do you like… Social media?..” Roman asked in an attempt to make conversation.
“Yeah… I guess… I’m on it more than real life…” Virgil muttered self consciously.
“What social media do you use?” Roman asked a little more enthusiastically.
“Uh… Tumblr, Wattpad and YouTube mostly. Do you use social media?” Virgil felt a tiny bit more comfortable.
“I do actually!” Roman smiled warmly. Virgil smiled back.
“What social media platforms?” Virgil asked with genuine interest, even if he didn’t show a lot.
“I use Instagram, Snapchat and YouTube most of the time. I like Twitter too.” Roman emerged himself in the budding conversation.
“That’s cool. Twitter is useful if you want to actually socialise…” Virgil said the word socialise with disgust.
“You don’t like socialising?!” Roman gasped.
“Um… No?.. I’m literally anxiety.” Virgil rolled his eyes fondly.
“Oh… Yeah…” Roman cringed at how awkward he sounded.
“Anyway, I’ve never talked about this in the mind but do you think dad and Logan like each other?” Anxiety asked, brushing off the awkwardness as if it were nothing.
“Heck yeah!” Roman practically squealed. The conversation moved on from there. The two were quite content. It had been two hours since the ‘date’ had started and the two just rambled about whatever came to mind.
“Hey, Virgil…” Roman started. Virgil shuddered hearing his name come from Roman’s lips.
“Can we do this again sometime?” Roman asked in a deep tone. Virgil nodded slowly.
“For real?.. Like a date date…” Roman seemed nervous. Virgil nodded again and pecked Roman’s cheek. Before Roman could even process what happened Virgil was out of sight.
