Planned parenthood supporters love to pretend the organizations main focus isn’t abortion...

And yet they fired their current president (the first medical doctor in 50 years) because she wanted to focus on healthcare more than abortion.

This further shows all planned parenthood is, an abortion mill.

Abortion isn’t healthcare.

As someone who is pro choice and does believe that abortion's status as healthcare is situational, I believe abortion is not inherently bad and should be a womans choice. But planned parenthood is fucking godawful and pretends to be something it's not

Just as much as women who want an abortion should not be pushed otherwise repeatedly by religious people, women should not be pushed towards having an abortion by planned parenthood, but that's all that this organization does. It stomps out all other alternatives that would actually help women have a plan for becoming a parent and makes sure it only hangs onto its status as a healthcare organization by the thinnest of strings.

Planned parenthood is the PETA of women's healthcare. Women, from those who want an abortion to those who are totally pro life, deserve a better service than planned parenthood.

I’m completely pro choice as well, but just as @furiousncurious stated, there are exceptions, I believe late abortions should be abolished or at the very least discouraged because at that point it is a living, breathing human. I don’t believe that all abortions should be abolished because there are certain circumstances that call for one such as r*pe, teen pregnancy, and unplanned pregnancy when the parent knows that the child will have severe disabilities (such as after the age of early-mid forties pregnancies) as well as any parent that believes they are not well enough equipped to have said child, whether that be because they lack money or stable living conditions, they aren’t mentally well, or other problems in their life. However any and all of this does NOT mean i support the main focus of PP being abortions, i believe focusing solely on abortions and pushing for parents getting them is not what the main idea of a parental planning group should be. They should be focused on actually helping support the families, whether that be financially or otherwise, and helping to teach the soon to be parents on how to raise a child properly instead of pushing them towards getting an abortion. They also need to focus on the healthcare of the child as OP stated, however they as they shouldn’t focus on abortion, they should still give it as an option if it’s needed. I don’t believe in meaningless abortions, at that point you should have the child and if you really don’t want it you should put the child up for adoption.
