Can’t stop thinking about Isaac’s exchange with his ‘dad’ during the ritual. “I’m sorry for everything.” “No you’re not! You wouldn’t say that!” It was played so casually but it hits so, so heavily (at least for me). It’s not even that he’s dead, no, it’s that he wouldn’t say that. He wouldn’t apologize. Isaac knows his dad and he knows he wouldn’t apologize. He’s been through hell, he’s got a gaping bite wound in his leg, he’s mentally powering through some sort of ancient eldritch god’s attempt at tricking him, and he knows his dad wouldn’t ever say he was sorry. Jesus fucking christ.
