“BREAKING: A constitutional amendment has been filed allowing President Trump to seek a 3rd term in office.
"No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than three times, nor be elected to any additional term after being elected to two consecutive terms, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice."
It was filed by Congressman Andy Ogles (R-TN).
Don’t let this slip by unnoticed. This is not just “one extra term”, it’s a warning shot. It’s a red flag. It’s an omen.
They are slowly turning up the heat in the pan. Do not be the frog who sits denying it’s getting hotter.
One extra term will become two, two will become three, and three will eventually give way to lifelong reign of each president.
Fight. Fight for God’s sake.
Contact your local representative of congress. Convince them we do not want this.
We are going to end up in a dictatorship.

[Opening]
I am reaching out to my representatives in [location] in regards to the recent amendment filed to the Constitution allowing a third term for a Presidental service.
As I'm sure you are aware, the 22nd Amendment was introduced following four consecutive terms of President Roosevelt, on February 27th, 1951. The 22nd Amendment at the time read as follows;
"No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. But this Article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President when this Article was proposed by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this Article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term.
This article shall be inoperative unless it shall have been ratified as an amendment to the Constitution by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several States within seven years from the date of its submission to the States by the Congress."
The proposed Amendment via Congressman Andy Ogles reads below as follows;
“No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than three times, nor be elected to any additional term after being elected to two consecutive terms, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice.’’
The proposed changes would bar prior living President's from serving a third term, as President Bill Clinton, President George Bush, and President Barrack Obama all served consecutive terms. Additionally, this change is written in a way that intentionally omits the original, critical portion that removes the potential for current Executive/Presidential influence,
that "-this Article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President when this Article was proposed by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this Article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term."
The original necessity for limiting terms, Presidential, or otherwise, is stemmed out of the potential tyrannical behavior, ability to increase self-wealth above the country's well-being, and avoidance of monarchist leadership.
I urge you to vote "No," at every level you are able, as the people disagree with this amendment to the Consitution. I disagree with this amendment to the Constitution.
I would very much appreciate a reply, as I value your time as much as I know you value hearing from the citizens you represent.
Respectfully,
