Hello, hello everyone. Today I bring you my cursed child of a roleplay playthrough. Basically, Stardew is one of my favorite games because of its cozy vibes, the characters, the main storyline, etc. I just think it's a gorgeous game and even though there are TONS of mods out there to expand on the plotline, I'm a vanilla player (mostly because I can't be bothered with the whole process of installing mods and I don't think my RENTED laptop can withstand it, honestly).
The thing is, I also love roleplaying, and some of the elements of the game (especially the introduction of the game, Lewis' comments about taxes, and the grange display sequence) made me think way too deeply about gentrification in my country, my connection with my late grandparents, what it feels like to be an inhabitant of the periphery (to work in the city but to live on the outskirts) and all the things that make Mexican culture and the way I relate to it, special.
During my first playthrough, I made it 5 years in until the game crashed because I was playing it on a really, really old device, so now that I'm more familiar with the game and the lore, I decided to focus more on this roleplay aspect rather than in obtaining all achievements and the Statue of Perfection quickly, so I decided to expand upon the few elements of roleplay that I had on my first run. The only massive changes I made to my style of gaming on this try, are my choice of husband (Elliott instead of Abigail) and the fact that I'm actively trying to befriend characters like the Dwarf and Krobus, who I didn't get to meet on my first attempt.
Tbh, I'm going to start with the playlist that gives this playthrough its name, and then maybe post some of my cursed fanfics and the fanart they inspired. So far I have fanfics with Abigail, Shane, and Elliott, but we'll see how everything gets. I'm keeping this as a master post to link everything and hope you join me in this weird hybrid that I love.

I just woke up from a nap and I stg I had the weirdest dream:
I dreamt that Olivia Rodrigo released a new album, for which she went on tour and she encouraged boyfriends/brothers/guys who went to support their girls/gfs at the concert to "come dressed as a Robert, Ethan or Bob"
So what this meant is that, somehow, in my dream, her "new" main single of this inexistent album had lyrics that mentioned those 3 names and then on an interview she said something about Roberts being based on older gentlemen, Bobs being based on Bob Dylan/1970s rockers and Ethans being based on Patrick Bateman.
AND THE BOYS IN MY DREAM UNDERSTOOD THE ASSIGNMENT.
Like, in my dream I saw big camera pans to the tour audience w guys dressed as Roberts: the top hats, the tailcoats, white gloves, detailed handlebar mustaches.
And the boys dressed up as "Bob" were dressed with Led Zeppelin costumes, David Bowie inspired outfits, Bob Dylan outfits, like fully embodying those rock icons of that era with the frilly shirts, the leather jackets, the aviator glasses, flared pants.
And then the Ethans had the plastic transparent raincoat, super styled gel hair, full suits and suitcases, one even had a retro 1980s cellphone and people lost their minds when the camera panned at him "picking up" the phone.
And in my dream, during her tour setlist Olivia was like, hyping them up with their costume, and the camera people would find the best Robert, Bob and Ethan costumes in the audience and it was just really fun for everyone involved.
Like those Apple dance cameras on Charli concerts? That but with guys in costumes.
Olivia would ask them things like "who is your costume?" and "who are you coming with?" and the boys would introduce their sisters or girlfriends or friends and the internet agreed that it was a cool trend, and then men on TikTok would also start posting videos like "This is what I'd wear to Olivia Rodrigo's "Robert, Bob or Ethan" song" and just pull the best costumes that she'd repost on her story.
And websites like Buzzfeed and all those would have shitty quizzes like "are you a Robert, Bob or Ethan", and the tour t-shirts would have men sizes with funny phrases from the song related to Robert, Bob or Ethan as driving license plates. Keychains and cups too!
Chat, it sucks that I don't have bookish friends irl and I don't like people enough to try and socialize because at the moment, I have NOBODY to squawk like a chicken about two bookish things that I just got on my algorithm:
1) a girl in Argentina did her 25th birthday themed for THE QUARTER QUELL... Costumes and all... MY DARLING DEAREST, THAT IS LITERALLY CAPITOL BEHAVIOR, WHY ARE YOU DRESSED AS LUCY GRAY BAIRD?! WHAAAAATTTT?! Dear God how I wish people focused on the aspect that THG is trying to exemplify principles of political theory and not on "haha so pretty" 💀
2) I just saw a meme about Boq and Nessarose on my feed about "She fell first 😍💖" and then it was followed up with the Wizard of Oz ruby slipper scene and it said "...but the house fell harder" and I'm sorry, that's peak comedy for me. We all hate the Dictator of the East in this household.
*siiiigh* Stardew Valley YouTube modders giving me a prompt for a cuckold/swinger fanfic with Kent, Jodie, Farmer and Farmer's spouse was not on my bingo card but here we fucking are.
And no, I don't think I will write it. I couldn't do that story justice since my longest gameplays were Abigail and Eliott centered but if anyone wants to use the prompt for their own fic, hey, be my guest.
All I ask from you guys, should you decide to write this fic, is to please use my idea of Farmer and Farmer's spouse getting invited to a random ass, Tuesday dinner at Kent and Jodie's, and everything goes relatively well but Farmer & Spouse are wondering like "ok what was so important about this random ass dinner?" and at the end of the dinner, Jodie being the one to very explicitly tell Farmer & Spouse of how she is willing to arrange everything
And the whole dinner happens in like in a very funny sitcom scene/comedy of errors.
Should you adopt this fanfic, I BEG that you make it campy, make it awkward but more importantly, make it funny.
I only have the idea for the first part, the raunchy but not yet NSFW, which is the dinner where Jodie (Kent is mostly super shy) is bringing the attention to everyone about that being the explicit purpose of the dinner and then snapping back at whatever arguments Farmer and Spouse may have against it, in a very Wine Mom (not very Pam but more like Regina George's mom) type of way.
I could most certainly write a few ideas for chapter 1 for the funny comedy of errors during that dinner but someone else would have to adopt the rest and finish the fic lol also, idk if anyone would actually be interested to read this type of fic so meh.
i hope with tiktok and twitter effectively dead and instagram on its way to dying we enter an age where social media is not popular and we all go outside and get lives and stop posting. but not on tumblr ofc
You think this might be a normal text post but no actually, I spent about a year and a half living and working with micro-influencers (over 5k followers and such) and trust me, THAT was the push I needed to delete most of my social media.

Ig? No posts, privated
Threads? Untouched
TT? I literally only use the search bar for very specific questions I need videos on
Bsky? Maybe I do a little more activity there for my fandoms and that's all
But I'll never move on from Tumblr and maybe pinterest. Other than that, I just, quit social media all together. Living/working with those micro-influencers showed me how devoid of empathy that job is, by design, and the demand that those people put onto themselves and their body. That horrified me enough to never want to work on anything social media ever again.
You guys know how on Project Sekai/Colorful Stage, the dream from Vivid Bad Squad is to put up an event that surpasses Rad Weekend?
My strongest theory is that the only way that VBS will be able to do it, is by having every other band from the game participate in it.
Like, imagine a Rad Weekend created with the amazing stage design and direction from Rui and Nene from Wonderlands x Showtime, super energetic performances by actual industry "pros" like Leo/Need and MORE!MORE!JUMP, with original songs for all groups created by N25's Mafuyu/Kanade with the flyers and promo designed by Ena, and costuming by Mizuki... That would literally surpass Rad Weekend by miles.
And honestly, I know this is pure fanfiction and meta-analysis on my part and not based on any canon indications, because something I've noticed in most of the story events, and forgive me if this is already ✨a thing✨ in the fandom, is that most of the event stories have an element of subtly showing how all bands are interconnected.
Like Haruka being An's best friend/helping Kohane and Toya with the chocolate brand sponsorship event for Valentine's Day, or the pairs of siblings (Saki/Tsukasa, Shizuku/Shiho), or Kohane being school friends with Minori, Emu from Wonderland x Showtime being in the same class as Shiho from Leo/Need, etc.
Note: Other than Honami being the housekeeper for Kanade (and Mafuyu by extension), I honestly can't see N25 factoring in much within my theory but I'm open to suggestions plz
But idk, in my mind I think that eventually we'll get a random stage event where all bands are involved in the creation/formation of this massive VBS event where, idk, for example, An talks about her dream with Haruka, Haruka tells the MMJ girlies during a live stream (or Kohane talks about VBS' dream with Minori) and Minori, being the ever-helpful sweetheart she always is, says that she'd love to help! And convinces MMJ to participate and bring their fans to the event.
Then Shizuku tells Shiho that it might be fun for Leo/Need to participate and of course she needs to consult with leader Honami first, so she says yes because of course, that would be a great opportunity to show the record label that Leo/Need can handle large concerts or festival crowds, so it would be great practice!
And of course little firecracker Saki cannot wait to tell her big brother firecracker Tsukasa about this awesome event that some people are planning and how Leo/Need will participate, so he starts imagining how the set design and staging of such an event would need to be, and of course he tells his Chaos twin Rui and they both decide to check it out, which makes Emu super excited, and they all end up roping poor Nene into this, who honestly wonders how being the MC for such an event would be so nerve-wracking, and of course Tsukasa LOVES that idea so they volunteer to be the masters of ceremonies and he brings this up to Toya, who OF COURSE would never say no to anything that his "savior" asks for!
So although Akito fucking hates Rui and Tsukasa for being weird, he can spot talent from miles away and he agrees to coordinate the staging of the event with them and Shiraishi (though he keeps making fun of them for being weird).
And so, in the weeks before the event the VBS crew is still worried about the costumes and promos but in the meantime, while housekeeping, Leo/Need's leader Honami listens to a song by N25 while Kanade is composing or something and she brings up the idea of creating songs for the bands that will be on the event, as a way for Kanade to leave the creative block that she's been having for quite a few N25 story events, and maybe getting some help from Mafuyu in those compositions would cheer her up and show that music can be healing and that they can both get out of their comfort zone and compose for different types of musicians, and of course when Ena and Mizuki hear about this they start thinking that N25 participating in the event would be an amazing way to cheer Mafuyu up, and idk, I think this would be such a sweet thing for Project Sekai.
Of course I'm yet to see how the upcoming movie release will fit into all this but idk, what do you guys think?
NO BUT LIKE, DURING THE PANDEMIC MY MOTHER AND I BINGED ER AND DIED OVER NOAH WYLE AND GORAN VISNJIC SO NOW WE'RE DYING OVER THE PITT AND IT'S AWESOME AKFIDNDKDKDJNF
So, I just finished watching The Apothecary Diaries ep. 1 and I have a few theories on how it is going to end because it's very much a telenovela/c-drama/k-drama structure and so far it did not catch my eye but I truly want to buy into the hype so please, PLEASE someone correct me if I'm wrong:
• LiHua is going to be mad that MaoMao (to her eyes) left her baby die while saving Gyokyou's baby.
• So LiHua is going to conspire tf out of things to make life difficult for MaoMao, maybe even poisoning the emperor or someone just as important, at some point of the story to have MaoMao blamed for treason or some bullshit like that, so Lady Gyokyou and Jinshi and maybe other servants will need to uncover the plot and plead for mercy on her behalf. The emperor or high court ranking officials will reluctantly agree but tell MaoMao something about being watched for that, which will unknowingly give her a massive opportunity to prove herself.
• In the meantime, MaoMao is going to unknowingly make Jinshi fall for her without that being her intention in the first place
• At some point Jinshi will get a romantic rival who will later become the secondary male lead of the series
• Meanwhile, MaoMao will prove herself to the doctors and the court during a high stakes epidemic or illness affecting important part of the population and end up becoming the Emperor's personal physician or something, and at some point, even though she could have enjoyed the benefits of her rank, she will turn her back to the court to save THE PEOPLE and it will grant her rejection but she will have changed medicine for the people in general and become an influential historical figure or something like that.
Like, this is pretty much how I know that a lot of historical dramas in China and Korea, and mexican historical telenovelas go.
The only modern twist to my opinion, is the fact that this is a japanese anime adapting a chinese drama storyline. But I'm pretty sure the plot is nothing super impressive in East Asian entertainment and in fact, it reminds me SO VERY MUCH of Dae Jang Geum from 2003, which I really enjoyed but I'm concerned that the Apothecary Diaries is as formulaic as I fear it is...
At this point PLEASE someone tell me that the story expands beyond this mere historical drama context PLEASE because I really want to buy into the hype but I'm afraid I already know how the story will end and that takes so much enjoyment away from it 😭 I want to buy into the hype si bad bc the art style and character design is BEAUTIFUL but I want the certainty that the story expands beyond the formulaic 😭
It's currently 11:57 p.m. and I have work tomorrow morning at 6am but I'm terrified to go to sleep because I had a very weird dream that I don't know how to interpret and I'd love my witchy folk/pagan folk from this app to help.
I dreamt that I was walking to a poetry event, bc there's this girl on ig I follow who wears a brown beret and reads her uplifting poetry. But as I approached the stage, which was draped in beautiful purple shiny curtains, a stage light came up and the girl stood there, with her notebook, terrified because right on the center of the stage was Baphomet. Sitting just like they do on their most common sculpture depictions, with a red body and black head, and I was startled but I felt like they were trying to tell me something while on the center of the spotlight but we were all silent, all I saw was their super animalistic eyes and they silently stared at me and then blinked very slowly as if saying something with their eyes which I couldn't understand and a single tear flowed down from their eye, and I tried to walk closer to the stage but couldn't. When they opened their eyes again, I woke up.
I know this could be interpreted in SO MANY WAYS but I'm confused. I was raised catholic, I'm not a practitioner witch, I just want to know why I dreamt this. Some google results say it's positive changes by accountability, other's say it's discordant energy and fights or gossip against me, but I just want to know wtf this could mean.
