It is a deeply reactionary current of yankee culture and every single one of you that participated in demeaning LGBT+ ppl being visible in public spaces or Protecting the Children from Travis Scott/Balenciaga/Wayfaire helped it penetrate the mainstream. This is true for unquestioningly pushing around whisper campaigns targeting LGBT+ people, especially trans women who are targeted disproportionately by these people.
