people are always like “are you a morning person or a night person” and I’m just like buddy I’m barely even a person
No matter how old you are, an empty wrapping paper tube is still fun to bonk someone over the head with.
You’re a regular office worker born with the ability to “see” how dangerous a person is with a number scale of 1-10 above their heads. A toddler would be a 1, while a skilled soldier with a firearm may score a 7. Today, you notice the reserved new guy at the office measures a 10.
You decide it’s best to find out what you can about this person. Cautiously, you approach his desk. He’s a handsome man, tall, but with a disarming smile. How could such a friendly guy with such cute, dorky glasses be dangerous?
You extend your hand. “I noticed you’re new here. What’s your name?”
He shakes your hand warmly. His gaze is piercing, as if he’s looking right through you. “The name’s Clark,” he says. “So, how long have you worked for the Daily Planet?”
This one wins.
It’s been a few weeks, and one of Clark’s friends shows up. She’s pretty and all, enough muscle that she must work out. First thought would be that she should be maybe a 6.
Clark’s introducing her around. “This is my good friend, Diana, she’s in from out of town.”
You blink, and take a step back in fear. You’ve never seen an 11 before.
IT GOT BETTER
To be honest.. if more children were shown from birth that they are loved, cared for, and listened no matter their gender we might not have some of the problems we have now.
Parents: Aloof disdain! Shun! Distance!
Also Parents: Why doesn’t my child talk to me?

i think it’s such a cool idea to make camp half-blood a summer camp. usually the magical world is situated in an academy or some other formal institution that’s separate from the real world but in PJO it’s a summer camp, and it symbolises both a break from real life but also somehow co-existence with it.
also another interesting thing is how there’s no separation between the mythical and mortal worlds. like, they straight up just drive through the states on quests and visit monuments and landmarks where there are mortals walking around at any given moment. the battle of manhattan happens on the very streets of manhattan, and percy is just namedropping streets and avenues and landmarks every few pages and you really get the sense that it’s all concrete and real like it might actually be happening. imagine being a new yorker and reading PJO and getting the distinct feeling like it could all be real... how cool is that
everybody loves to talk about velma and daphne but y’all seem to forget that velma and hot dog water from mystery incorporated were obviously gay
h-hot dog water?
Her name was hot dog water because her father was a carnival owner and they were so poor she had to bath with the used hot dog water. Also she was murdered by Nazi robots under the command of a Hannibal lector bird Scooby Doo influenced by a cosmic embodiment of horror but then brought back to life when Scooby Doo killed it
ScreaMING
I wonder how it feels to be the voice of the people
Full version, just because I saw it this morning and that bit at the bottom is so important.
Boy forgets his age after wisdom teeth removal operation
anyway, remus straight up researched neville for this and they say sirius is the petty one.
love that for me
story time: when my brother was born I was about three years old and I can’t remember much, I just remember wanting to pick his name and finally settling on “Rainbow” and telling my parents hey so I decided we should name the kid Rainbow, top name right
bear in mind i was three and had all the naming capacity of a young fan making their first forays into making a power fantasy self-insert oc
but apparently dreams can get you somehwere because years later, when i was about thirteen i mentioned this memory to my mother, and she said “yeah, we called him that” and I was like “lmao as if you called him that I know brother’s name duh” and in short she got out his birth certificate, and yeah. My brother’s fucking middle name is, officially and legally, Rainbeau.
ok but it gets better. because my brother’s first name is Morgan, a welsh name which by some translations means “arc over the sea,” which can be argued means “rainbow”
my parents called my brother Rainbow Rainbow
i had too much power when i was three
oh look, Moon Moon’s human form
