As more and more people are being forced to switch to Windows 11, Microsoft's most AI-malware-ridden OS yet, I've been putting together articles and links for how to undo the damage and save your battery, your RAM, your disk space, your privacy, and your sanity from this bullshit.
FIRST:
The easiest way to get rid of the majority of the bullshit that Windows is forcing on us, as of October 2025, is this one-stop-one-click debloat solution from a modern day hero:
A simple, lightweight PowerShell script to remove pre-installed apps, disable telemetry, as well as perform various other changes to customi
It's very easy, even if you're not tech savvy or get scared of pop up windows saying "ARE YOU SURE?" Yes, you are sure, I promise. This program takes maybe two minutes and will save you SO MUCH pain, time, and money (and exploitation).
Now that you've done that, here's the cleanup, to catch the little shit that the debloat might have missed (most of this will already be done by debloat, but hey, it's good to double check).
Microsoft wants to put AI everywhere on your PC, but you can take back control.
Even just reading about some of these features makes me angry. Fucking Copilot and "Discover" AI scrapers are in Notepad. NOTEPAD. And then there's this uncanny valley garbage:
No uncanny valley video calls for me, thanks! (Also, what else is it doing while it scans your face and listens to your calls? What else, microsoft? Because there was a lot of memory being assigned to this program for a simple "smooths your skin" add on).
Tired of Microsoft pushing ads throughout Windows 11? Here are the settings you can tweak to turn them off and reclaim some privacy.
The truly insane number of places they have stuck ads on your own home computer is sickening. Become Unmarketable.
Bonus:
Some background programs you probably don't need that are taking up space and how to remove them (Microsoft forums, 2024)
Your Samsung Galaxy Phone comes with 22 apps you don't need (Android Police, 2025)
How to disable the AI in firefox (still the only browser that lets you do this permanently) (Windows Report, 2025)
Tibeto-mongolian organized crime following the collapse of USSR in the 90’s.
bro i LOVE indigenous fusion music i love it when indigenous people take traditional practices and language and apply them in new cool ways i love the slow decay and decolonisation of the modern music industry
I WILL !!! I WILL DO THAT
some of my favourite indigenous artists, in no particular order:
Inuit artists:
the jerry cans (esp their album Inuusiq)
beatrice deer
twin flames
Māori artists:
jordyn with a why
Indigenous australian artists:
tilly tjala thomas (i particularly love ngai yurlku nhiina)
kardajala kirridarra (srlsly check out ngajabu (Grandmother's Song))
i've also heard good things abt Baker Boy, but i haven't checked out his stuff yet
Another one for Inuit artists is Piqsiq! Two sisters who’ve been doing traditional throat singing since they were kids. They make some really gorgeous, eerie, atmospheric stuff. Highly recommend watching this video of them performing live a cappella using a looping machine, because they might be the coolest people on the planet actually
(Jo March nearly in tears voice) women,,,,
For anyone into North Asian and Central Asian folk music, there's this incredible Siberian folk-pop band called Otyken! The group is mostly women and they're from multiple indigenous groups in Siberia, with songs being sung in their range of different languages. They're so much fun and their music videos are amazing!
i'll go ahead and recommend The Halluci Nation (formerly known as A Tribe Called Red), an EDM group from First Nations Ontario that do really cool fusions of First Nations music with dubstep, moombahton, and hip hop.
I really really really appreciate people who share videos on posts like these, because almost without a doubt every time I love the music but I’ve never got the spoons to click on links and look through a bunch of music or worse google the artist I always end up too overwhelmed to start and I hate that
Haven't seen Belle Sisoski here yet so here we go: she's the current Artist of Year for BURO impact Awards. She's from Malaysia and knows how to play an insane amount of ethnic instruments and mixes them with her own voice. She does covers and her own songs, mixes ethnic instruments with Techno and shows the process. And she's also a live DJ at 19!
And one of her own:
Oh and of course there's also the HU and Bloodywood for people who like more rock and metal mixed in:
surprised alien weaponry isn't on here yet! they're a metal band who perform almost exclusively in te reo māori, they've been making waves since they were literally still in high school!
stan walker has been one of our top pop artists for 20 years now & over the last few years he's been producing more & more music in te reo māori & using his name & talent to bring activism to a wide audience
tipene is a rapper who also uses a lot of reo māori in his music & has been centering activism recently
if the singer/songwriter vibe is more your jam i would be remiss if i didnt mention literally my favourite kiwi musician, maisey rika
and if you're into more upbeat/vibey pop you can't go wrong with maimoa!
i could go on and on honestly - those are a few artists i highlighted bc they represent a variety of fusions of tradition with more modern/western styles, but additional shoutouts to mahinārangi tocker, adam whauwhau, anna coddington, brannigan kaa, and this fucking banger by dj aroha
I heard Yothu Yindi in the 1990s and still love them! Some of their stuff is more folky, some is poppier. Here's something from the dancy end of the spectrum:
I would like to do two recommendations using the same style of music but from different perspectives. The first person I want to recommend is Kuular, who is from Tuva and makes covers of popular western music that incorporates traditional throatsinging. Here's his cover of Linkin Park's "Numb":
From the other side of the equation, there is the wonderful soundtrack of Genghis Blues that features collaborations between Kongar-ol Ondar (Tuvan) and Paul Pena (American). The traditions of Delta Blues music are fused with and incorporate Tuvan throatsinging to create something unlike anything else.
Im interested in learning everyone's media traditions. Like watching Die Hard every Christmas or Groundhogs Day every Groundhogs Day. id love to know if anyone has a specific summer movie or Halloween movie or St. Patrick's Day movie or whatever. please tag it so I can know
I read the entire Transmetropolitan comic series right before midterm elections and presidential elections. It seems like it gets more and more timely with every election.

Lol we regularly get nitrates up to 20 ppm in my lake ♻️🦞crawdaddy Follow uhhh you shouldn't be bragging about that, it's really unsafe ♻️🐟carpy-diem Follow suck it you little oligotrophic bitch
🐢snappturt Follow Dear Tumblr, am I the Basshole for the way I catch minnows? I was chatting with some of the guys I bask with and they said the way I catch minnows is problematic; What I do is I sit on the bottom of the lake, I hide myself in the mud and I open my mouth. My tongue looks a lot like a little worm so I wiggle it around- and because of that, minnows swim over and check it out. Once they get close enough, then I bite down and eat them. Some of my rockmates have told me that this is manipulative and toxic behavior- but they also eat minnows...I don't know guys...

🐠Shadlad Follow I'm not sorry, and I'm not afraid to say it, if you're an introduced species, go dry yourself out. You're not welcome to eat up all of our resources and live in my ancestral longs and rock crags. These things are for us to relate to and not for you to squander.

Can't believe this type of fishcourse is still popular on this site, introduced species didn't choose to be introduced and have as much of a right to live as anyone else. Bigotry against introduced species is still bigotry and that's a hill I will dry on. ♻️🐠Shadlad Follow Go ahead, dry yourself out then ;) ♻️🪷nootnootnewt Follow Hey man, I hate invasive species as much as anyone else but please stop telling people to beach themselves for political reasons- yeah that includes inavsives too ♻️🦐typical_scud Follow Did you legit just use the word Invas*ve to describe introduced species? ♻️🦢flatfootswimmer Follow anyone in this thread eat pondweed?
♻️🐟largemouthbASS Follow A colab with my mutual @2xcrested_cormorant after they got released from the wildlife hospital. They haven't been on much since the Fish and Wildlife Service released them in the wrong lake and it took them a while to get back to their colony. We hope this guide will help you avoid accidentally eating/engaging with bait!

Do you like old timey country music or bluegrass? Do you wanna support Indigenous people making contemporary music in their own languages?
Well if you answered yes to both of these questions, please check out Agalisiga’s album Nasgino Inage Nidayulenvi (It Started In the Woods). He’s a Cherokee singer who recently released a whole album IN CHEROKEE. And it’s really good! Available on Bandcamp and other streaming services now!!!!
This album is fantastic, and I'm going to buy it as soon as I get my next unemployment check. It's hard to over-emphasize how important this kind of project is – Wikipedia says the following:
The number of speakers [of the Cherokee/Tsalagi language] is in decline. The Tahlequah Daily Press reported in 2019 that most speakers are elderly, about eight fluent speakers die each month, and that only five people under the age of 50 are fluent. The dialect of Cherokee in Oklahoma is "definitely endangered", and the one in North Carolina is "severely endangered" according to UNESCO. The Lower dialect, formerly spoken on the South Carolina–Georgia border, has been extinct since about 1900. The dire situation regarding the future of the two remaining dialects prompted the Tri-Council of Cherokee tribes to declare a state of emergency in June 2019, with a call to enhance revitalization efforts. This is some amazing music and I am happy to support both this kind of music and raise awareness of Cherokee's linguistic situation.
[simple video description: a person dances in a smooth, modern style while in a Double Dutch jump rope. Many times, their dance moves carry them over the rope without looking like they are leaving the ground, like sliding the feet up and over as the rope passes. The rope never catches on the dancer nor falters until they leave. A hip hop song play in the background. End VD.]
The song is "King Kunta" by Kendrick Lamar.
This is what having auditory processing issues is like.
