Thanks to @seariderfalcon for tagging me! My last 10 fics are basically all White Collar (except for one White Collar/Murderbot crossover) because I am obsessed with what might happen to Neal after the finale. Before that it's all Ghosts, but I'm trying to turn a fic into a novel, and so I'm staying away until that project is doen.

"Look," Dan Burkhardt said to the FBI agents standing on the other side of the table in the interrogation room. They'd made him sit, but he wasn't handcuffed. That was one good thing, at least, in the absolute shit sandwich today had become. "Ask anyone who knows me. There is no possible way I set fire to my own art gallery."
Pigeon Story (White Collar), https://archiveofourown.org/works/86845611
Nightime, a balcony, a beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower, and Peter and Neal drinking scotch, bullshitting and telling stories all night long.

The first time Agent Peter Burke met Neal Caffrey, he was in search of an expert to tell him whether the Raphael in his evidence locker was a forgery or the real thing. The FBI's in-house expert couldn't say for certain, not enough to stand up in a court of law, but had proffered Caffrey's name instead. "He's good," the expert had said.

After he left Peter's house Neal took a long walk along the river.Ā He didn't like to think of himself as gullible, but somehow, the FBI had gotten him again.Ā He had really thought catching Rebecca and turning in the diamond would have earned him his freedom.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā God, he was a fool.Ā

Diana wouldn't have noticed what was missing from her wallet if she hadn't had to call her doctor's to update her insurance card. But she knew for certain that she'd left home with a twenty, a ten, and three ones, and now the ten was gone. And there was a convicted felon working at a desk nearby, making notes on one of the Mortenson files, absolutely radiating innocence.
Devore's (White Collar), https://archiveofourown.org/works/77341051
Devore's is named for famous Rat Pack suitmaker Sy Devore, and like its namesake, it has a great sense of style. Ā I was delighted to see that it has substance as well.
Two-and-One (White Collar), https://archiveofourown.org/works/76180061
It was a beautiful night in Paris; the weather was finally springlike enough for him to open the French doors onto the lovely, narrow balcony of his apartment. With Mozzie visiting, he was feeling unusually relaxed. Still, he never would have said anything if he hadn't been well into his fourth glass of an excellent Bordeaux.
Rescue Mission (White Collar/The Murderbot Diaries) https://archiveofourown.org/works/71464781/chapters/186015011
Neal didn't always pay attention to Peter's briefings. While the real FBI agents discussed paperwork and who should be filling it out, or the minutia of who would be taking a van shift and when, his mind drifted off to the Premier Cru wine circular he'd just received in his email this morning. He was pretty sure that they were offering wine futures without owning the wine to back it up, and he intended to get everything he was owed. More, if possible.
Taking the Baby To Paris (White Collar) https://archiveofourown.org/works/74358351
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā It was a pain in the ass traveling with a toddler, reflected Elizabeth, but it was worth it to see her husband so happy.Ā Neal was finally asleep in his pack-and-play-- the changing timezones and unaccustomed socialization had left her little boy wired-- and now she and Peter were in bed themselves, in their Paris hotel.Ā
Next Steps (White Collar) https://archiveofourown.org/works/73855041
There was a time, Drew Leach reflected, when a room at the Ritz in Paris and all the money he needed would have made him happy. And yes, it was hard to be truly miserable in a place this beautiful, but he was very aware that he was stuck living his younger self's dream, and that his younger self was an idiot.
