Sorry but it's not complete without...
Scavenger Hunt 32: Incorrect Quotes (texts), V2.
The email subject line probably has something to do with budgets or Bond. Quite possibly both.
Me. This is real life me.
For Scavenger Hunt #56, I present to you... a Moneypenny (De)Motivational Poster for posting on your office walls.
I am a PASSIONATE commenter on fanfiction, but sometimes it slows down my reading because I don't want to read if I don't have the mental energy to leave the long comments I want to
Still, as an author, I know even a short note can mean the world.
So, I put together a little guide with different “levels” of comments, so it’s easier to leave something without overthinking!
Hopefully this helps someone else too!
on my life Dropout has never shown me anything as funny as grown adult man Raphael Chestang repeatedly screaming in distress after tasting wasabi oreos that he knew were going to be just as bad every single time he did it
It’s here !! The guide for two-legged people who don’t know how to draw wheelchairs !!! 7 pages of infodump ! Disclaimer : I don’t know everything, I have one (1) experience of wheelchair user who used both bad and good chairs, and I share what I learned.
Image description :
1) Calvin in his wheelchair saying “yo” under a huge title “how to draw manual wheelchairs properly by Calvin Arium, a wheelchair user comic artist”.
2) A character says “my character self propels in a chair that was outdated in 1970 lol” Calvin says “so it looks like you two legged people don’t know the difference between an hospital chair and a chair made to be independant” an arrow point the crapppy chair, saying “we never want to see this again”
a bubble says “the hospital chair is extremely unpractical, tough considering it’s cheaper than a good custom chair a lot of us have only this”
3) a character hurt himself trying to reach the wheels of the hospital chair. Several arrows point why the chair is unpractical : “high backrest restrain shoulders movement” “huge armrest restrains wheel access” “separated footrest : amovible, cheap, bulky” “x structure, foldable but heavy” “huge front casters for stability” “heavy wheels”
4) Several arrows point an active wheelchair (the KSL by Küshall) : “usually no armrest” “a low backrest allow more movement” “light, design, ferning expersive” “special cushion to avoind injuries” “knee angle is usually 90°” “one single piece of frame, sometimes entirely welded” “weight : from 4 to 10kg” “often rigid” “center of the wheel is the center of gravity” “higher quality wheels : less spikes”
5) A hand grab different parts of the wheel, pushing harder in the second half. Bubbles says “some have gloves, some don’t. The hand must grab the biggest area possible. Less movement = more energy. This is a common but not only way to push.Calvin is on his back wheels, rolling on grass and dirt bubble says “popping a wheelie is when a wheelchair user rolls on their back wheels to roll on every complicated surface.
6) several drawings illustrate the folding frame, the ergonomic but rigid and expensive backrest, the separated footrest (only for folding frame), the handles, the folding handles, athe amovibles handles, or no handles, the cool fancy loopwheels, the pretty custom colors
7) More Features ! The fancy rigid-foldable frame, the anti tippers (sometimes used by beginners), the motorization (wheels, smart drive) when propelling yourself is difficult Calvin says “and now vroom vroom motherfuckers”

Thanks !
EDIT : Here is a youtube playlist about choosing, cleaning and using active manual wheelchairs in the public space, I learned a lot from those videos when I was a wheelie newbie. (Not sure they’re all captionned tho) https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL3j9XB2x5HYmZqgLakRCNt_fjsVZjDAkJ

Good info, even if you aren’t an artist.
Who else is feeling a comedy for June? Maybe something historic-adjacent? With disguises and canonically bad accents? Throw a duel in the mix just for fun?
My friends, have we got the play for you.
I’m going to join this one of these days.
1st Anniversary of the 2025 Papal Conclave
One year ago, the cardinals gathered in the Sistine Chapel for the first round of voting to elect a successor to Pope Francis. The voting ended with black smoke and no new pope.
Dang, a year already. Might as well add to the visuals.

ur eyebrows are fine
- if you're going to do something stupid and slightly illegal, bring a friend you trust with your life in case something goes wrong
- make sure to get your story straight, easiest way is by looping in some of the truth
- fitting in isn't worth it, be your weird ass self
- straight people don’t have those thoughts, you are queer enough
- your pain is real
- your problems are not stupid
- your situation is that bad and doesn’t need to be worse than anyone else’s to be lessened or get care
Every time I'm forced by circumstance to hand-sew something, I remember a fairytale I once read. There are lead-up shenanigans as the humble protagonist helps small animals and meets the princess and all that, but in the climax, the princess rigs a contest for her hand by setting her own task: sew her a dress in a single night.
The noble suitors, who have never sewn a thing in their lives, sabotage themselves by their own ambitions: they choose difficult fabrics to work with and cut huge, elaborate patterns and select gems and pearls and beads to sew onto it, and snip such long bits of thread that they lose time detangling their stitches, and ultimately resort to pinning bits together as they run out of time, so that their offerings initially look beautiful and flashy, but when the princess tries them on they stick her with pin ends and fall apart as she moves.
The humble protagonist uses a very simple pattern without embellishments and sews using short lengths of thread (snipped off and threaded for him by little birds of course) which don't tangle and therefore save time. His dress is plain by contrast, but holds together and the princess is able to move freely in it, and so he wins the contest and her hand.
I particularly think about the bit about threading the needle with shorter lengths of thread, needing to tie off more often but avoiding tangles and thereby saving time.
I then ignore that piece of wisdom passed down through who knows how many years and proceed to cut the longest damn length of thread I can manage because I hate tying off beginning or ending knots and I will not subject myself to more of that even if it does mean more tangles along the way.
I am professional seamstress and make garments, mostly corsets, for a living. But at first I was taught to hold a needle and sew by my grandma at age 4 or 5. It was over decade since she passed but every time I thread a needle I can hear her voice in exact tone she used to reprimand me "Long thread - lazy seamstress!". Every time for nearly 35 years of sewing.
Every. Damn. Time.
