Headcanon: after Terry Long's death, Donna and Robbie live with Diana and Steve for a bit. Robbie becomes particularly close with his Uncle Steve. Even after they move into their own place, and after Donna starts dating again, Robbie still gives Steve a father's day card or gift every year

so a while ago a made a post calling garth lancelot and have had a couple people thinking i was joking, which is–fair, actually, seeing as it was a jokey post, but like. no. no, you don’t understand. i’m not even remotely joking about this, and i’m not exaggerating in any way when i tell you garth’s origin is a straight up lancelot retelling.
in Lanzelet, lancelot’s father was a king ousted by his own people for his harshness. he manages to escape with his queen, “who carried nothing but their little child,” but the king’s wounds prove fatal, and he dies, leaving the queen alone.
this is already INCREDIBLY similar to the story of garth’s parents
and then! a “water fairy” comes and snatches up baby lancelot and steals him off to “her land”
the “du Lac” in Lancelot du Lac means “of/from the lake.” because lancelot was raised… in a lake. like literally. in a lake. as in he was raised underwater. by merpeople.
this is one of my favorite things about him because it’s just so weird, and it’s also a big part of the reason i’m so partial to the version of garth’s backstory we’re given in Tempest.
there’s just something so endearing about the problem of “how do you make a guy growing up underwater significant in a world where EVERYBODY grows up underwater?” being solved with “well, you make it so he grew up THE MOST underwater! you make it so he grew up in the OCEANIEST part of the ocean!”
instead of being stolen from his mother by a mer-feine and taken under the water, garth is stolen from his mother by atlanteans and taken to a deeper part of the sea.

So here's a fic idea that im probably never gonna write but it'd be really cool if someone did.
The titans kids (Lian, Robbie, Cerdian, Mar'i, and the twins) are somehow sent back in time to when the fab five were kids. Roy and Donna have just started dating.
(Sidenote: kid Roy probably thinks hes Robbie's dad)
The two teams work together to send the kids back home, but Lian and Robbie notice how happy Roy and donna are. Robbie in particular as never seen Donna this happy.
(Roy hasn't screwed up yet).
Lian and Robbie conspire with each other to make sure they never break up, hoping Donna and Roy will get married and never meet their respective future partners, knowing full well that they won't exist if this works. Their parents' happiness matters more.

So lately, i can't stop thinking about the different scenarios that couldve been if Nessie really did become a Wonder girl.
I really like the contrast between her and Cassie. She seemed a lot more feminine and girlie compared to the originally tomboyish Cassie. She could take on Cassie's more feminine looks while Cassie stays a butch tomboy (Geoff Johns never gets his grubby little paws on Cassie in this au)
As an 80s girlie, she'd definitely be Jason's Wonder Girl (even setting aside how weirdly similar their arcs were.) They could be the start of a lost titans generation, mentored by the "New Titans".
How would she have gotten powers? Since Cassie having the balls to demand powers from Zeus was such a big moment for her, maybe Nessie could be the one stealing borrowing various artifacts instead.
And what would she be calling herself now? I mean as an adult? (Cassie would be 20-21 by now if dc stopped regressing her and her peers, and Nessie was definitely older then Cassie). Should she stick close to the swan theming or stray away from it entirely? since in this au, she would've never became Silver Swan at all.
Lets assume Valerie Beaudry stayed Silver Swan.
If Nessie somehow got gifts to make her similar to Silver Swan, she could call herself Angel (as a cute little reference to the nickname Steve calls Diana). Theres also Siren or Icarus for more greek choices, or Valkyrie if we ignore Marvel (this is all hypothetical afterall). Fury is kinda available, but i always liked the idea of Cassie using that name one day.
OR what if Nessie was fully embraced as the wonder fam's red hood. Let her be silver swan, and then have her come to her senses and work towards redemption. Imagine a semi-heroic Silver Swan teaming up with the Outlaws. Her and Artemis are different enough that they can both stay on the team.
Or alternatively, we can avoid the swan theming to keep her similar to the other wonders. She could call herself Olympia, or something else.

I think the funniest thing DC could do is have Mia and Cissie date. Like, Cissie keeps getting forced into Arrow family bullshit so she finally just gives in and says "Fine! Clearly the universe wants me to hang out with these people, I might as well get a cute girlfriend out of the situation. And maybe it will stop trying to force me back into the hero game if I have a different connection to them."
And most importantly I think she should be correct. The second she asks Mia out the bad guy they're fighting surrenders. Mia's pretty sure it's because they were winning, Cissie's convinced it's a sign. Any time they get in a fight something happens where Cissie ends up fighting crime again. To the point that if her friends ever see her in costume they immediately start asking how her relationship is going and every time she has to admit her and Mia are fighting.
If Young Justice never disbanded and Mia joined, who else do you think would make great Young Justice members? Cause honestly I think you're so right, they shouldn't have disbanded.
No they shouldn't have it's complete bullshit and most of the surviving members just went onto Teen Titans a few months later so what's the point?!(Probably behind the scenes bullshit because that's what it always is)
Well I'd probably keep it the same level of not too many characters because they already had a good cast.
But I'd have of course the four of Tim, Cassie, Kon, and Tim
And Mia like I said (Sidenote how she'd probably look in the Young Justice Comic based off Todd Nauck's art)
I'd also make sure Anita stays on the team because there is no reason she should have basically never been seen again besides racism (And before anyone points out her parents as babies just do some comic book time travel age up magic/technology and boom parents are their regular ages)
I'd probably add one of the Extra Members that appeared and make them a full member my pick would probably be Lagoon Boy because he stands out the most aesthetically and poor kid gets screwed over by being killed in the Titans.
And of course I'd make sure the normals like Cissie and now Greta stay as key members of the team because it's not just battles its friendship. They're still members of the team they're still friends. Plus it would be really counter productive for the last storyline to be how Greta felt abandoned and hated because she was different and that no one cared and the ending was them convincing her that yes they screwed up and will screw up in the future but they still love her, to just abandon her again when she's human again.
But those are just my picks and I'd love to hear everyone else's
