Cookie Run Kingdom AU
The Cookie Run Kingdom Fandom has claimed me. I have been silent for a long time (my AO3 history says otherwise). Behold an AU I made based off of a terrifying factoid. Spoilers for Cookie Run Kingdom's plot below
Every now and then I remember how close White Lily and Pure Vanilla were to using a piece of someone's soul in their dough experiments
And how it is very likely that someone, was Shadow Milk
I'd genuinely be surprised if he wasn't the one to found Blueberry Yogurt Academy, especially given we know "The first headmaster taught the Cookies how to use magic" (direct quote from White Lily in Crispia Ep8, Memories of Two Friends #7)
If they had gone through with that, if Pure Vanilla didn't try to stop her or White Lily convinced him to go along with it What would've happened????
Would Shadow milk have been able to break free early, appearing in a land far away from the Faeries? Would Shadow Milk's soul become fractured into pieces, and the piece separated from him becoming a new person? Would Shadow Milk essentially be able to have an artificial physical form outside of the tree he can astral project into whenever he wants?
I want to make an AU based off of this concept so badly The potential for tragedy is immense
I drew Pure Vanilla in the AU (I imagine his staff would just be Truthless Recluse's)
Essentially, Shadow Milk is stuck in a freshly baked body by the two wannabe unethical scientists, he's also severely depowered (he probably would be able to pull Faerie-Kingdom shenanigans but only for a limited time). To get his full power back, he needs to destroy the tree (which now has a major crack in it)
He forces enlists Pure Vanilla and White Lily into helping him, promising them that he knows how to help them in exchange for his freedom
Shadow Milk can access the spire but he cannot teleport/portal long distances (the Spire and anywhere inside is the only exception since it is a part of him). So he did dunk his two newest minions in the Yogurt River
Candy Apple is jealous of the two but prefers White Lily since she is far more willing to endulge Candy Apple's weird interests
Black Sapphire prefers Pure Dark Vanilla (Shadow Milk required a name change to suit his aesthetic, the reason White Lily gets to keep her name is because the flowers she is named after are poisonous to witches/humans and Shadow Milk likes that) since Dark Vanilla knows how to stay calm and is rather fun to talk to
Overall, they're not doing well and deeply terrified of the destruction they unknowingly unleashed. But they do as their told out of fear and a weird form of Stockholm Syndrome.
When they meet the other Ancients, they start to gain hope that maybe they have a way out of their dark descent. Though as cookies of deceit, they're not exactly forthcoming about their circumstances
I accept worldbuilding/character building asks, this is quite literally all I have
I'll add a tag with the AU's name when I come up with one :P
Still don't have a name, but I designed White Lily for the AU
I imagine everyone else would have their standard designs as seen in game
The reason White Lily has no braid in this AU is because when she and Pure Vanilla got dunked in the Yogurt River of Rebirth, her braid snagged on something and she almost drowned. Luckily she survived but she cut her hair afterwards (it is also a control thing, her life has spiraled and this is literally all she has left to control). I would've done Dark Enchantress Cookie colors but a) too similar to Candy Apple and b) I wanted her and Dark Vanilla to match
And trust me when I say, these two are far more disposable than Black Sapphire and Candy Apple. Something they're both deeply aware of (the fact their designs are matching may also be symbolic of how they're duplicates of each other in a way, at least one of them isn't truly needed)
