Dear Lisa,
If you’re reading this, I’m dead – and I am so sorry. I’m sorry I couldn’t protect you while I was in juvie. I’m sorry I didn’t take care of you better. Most of all, I’m sorry I won’t be around to look after you now.
I know you’re a big girl, and you’re plenty capable of giving hell to anyone who might cross you. A big part of me thinks you shouldn’t have to. Not alone, anyways. I asked the Flash to keep an eye on you. If you ever need help, go to him or that kid Cisco. They won’t turn you away.
You’re better than me you know, always have been. You can be anything you want, my beautiful baby sister. So if you would do this for me Lisa, be better. I’m not saying be a hero, heroes die. I’m saying be safe. You and I know better than most that the world can be cold and dark. Find something that keeps you in the light. I know you won’t be happy with something boring, but try to find something safe, ok?
You are so strong, Lisa. You’re strong and gutsy and smart. I am so proud of you. You are the only thing in this life that I give a damn about. There is nothing I wouldn’t do to protect you. The best parts of me, I owe to you. You kept me from becoming a monster, from being lost in the dark. You have been the light of my life ever since you were born.
It’s funny, the Flash said once that it was just a matter of time until I joined up with the good guys. Now I’m heading out to save the world. Don’t tell that idiot I said so, but it looks like he was right. I don’t know what happened to me, but whatever it was, I hope it was my choice. Just know that I thought of you every day I was gone.
Take care of yourself, sis. If there’s only one thing I could wish for, it’s that you find something or someone that makes you happy. Be happy, Lisa. You deserve that.
Love,
Lenny
