So, I've really come to like the Bloodymary/Simon x Grace stuff right now! It's just so sweet and interesting, and I love all the fan works being published right now. I would really like to contribute to this, but I'm not exactly sure how lol. So, I suppose I'm posting this for suggestions on what you guys would like to see me do? I could put together playlists, make some short headcanons, I might even make some collages? Anyways, I would love to hear your feedback/advice/ideas!

daemon targaryen when he gets back from field work with his zoomer intern and finds out his designated least valuable player child successfully acquired a dragon and albeit inadvertently also eliminated his annoying stepson who does not like him from the line of succession
Genuinely truly enjoying your headcannons, they all feel well thought out and incredibly realistic in the world and characters that GRRM has built. Definitely satisfies the need for more ASOIAF content that burns deep in my soul :)
Thank you! That's so sweet of you to say! Getting encouragement really helps with my motivation to keep posting these
Daeron II and his Descendants headcanons part 5
*For reference, those are the ages I'm working off of. Some of them are canon, some are approximations, but I needed a guide*
As I stated in my first post (which you can read here) my favorite era of Targaryen history is the time between the First Blackfyre rebellion to Aerys I's death.
For this last part, well be going of Maekar and Dyanna Dayne.
"CONTENT WARNING FOR: Underage pregnancy, underage relationship, underage marriage, burning alive, depression, mental health struggles, alcoholism, loss of a child"
I'm really sorry this one took so long, to be honest, I was really struggling to come up with ideas for these two, and this one will likely be shorter than the other four.
*DISCLAIMER: I do not support underage relations, I do not want to encourage that in any way, and honestly, that part of their relationship makes me very uncomfortable, and was part of the reason I had a hard time coming up with these ideas." Anyway, on to the headcanons.
Maekar and Dyanna met because, after his aunt Daenerys was married to Prince Maron Martell, Maekar was sent to Dorne with her to serve as Marons ward and page. While there, he met Dyanna Dayne, who was serving as one of her new ladies-in-waiting.
Maekar got Dyanna pregnant out of wedlock, and the two had to basically have a shotgun wedding in Sunspear. Myriah and Daeron had not even really had time to send their consent to the marriage, so it caused a good bit of scandal.
Since both of them were young, they were separated for a few years, so they could mature, before having another child. Dyanna was sent back to her family at Starfall, while Maekar was sent to ward at Tarth, then back to Kings Landing. Maekar did not even get to be with Dyanna when she delivered their first son, Daeron. This led to the distance he feels with his eldest son.
Eventually, they were reunited, much to their joy, and afterwards, they had five more children. Aerion, Aemon, Daella, Aegon, (Egg) and Rhae.
Dyannas favorites were Daeron, Aerion, and Egg, while Maekars were his Aemon, Rhae, and Egg. Daella is the forgotten middle child/eldest daughter sadly. Interestingly however, Daella WAS absolutely the most popular among her siblings and cousins.
Dyanna and Maekar were deeply in love, but Dyanna was often homesick, and she felt very alienated at court, both due to her Dornish heritage, and her husbands unpopularity. She was not close to her sisters-in-law, Jena of Aelinor, due to the historic Dorne vs Stormlands feud, nor she did get along with Aerys, whom she considered haughty. She was closer to Baelor, and Alys Arryn, and she adored her brother Rhaegel, as he often seemed the only one who could understand her mental struggles. Maekar was actually a tad jealous of their relationship.
Ok, on to the sad part.
Dyanna had visions of the future, often in the form of waking nightmares. She is the reason that magic got reintroducec to the Targayen bloodline. I find it interesting that all of her sons were dragon dreamers.
in 205, during an evening at Summerhall, Dyanna was struck with horrible images of her sons Aerion and Aegon, and her daughters Daella and Rhae, all burning and screaming. (Aerion drinking wildfire, Aegon, Daella and Rhae at summer hall 259). She rushed to save them for their fate, and unknowing ran towards the great fireplace at the center hall. The guards tried to stop her before her hands touched the flam, but the were not quick enough, and Dyanna ran into the fire, into her doom. She was seven months pregnant with her seventh child., Dyanna was engulfed in flames. This serves as an omen for Daenerys's ritual, over 90 years later, and for the seven gods of the faith, with the sevent god being the stranger, death, and Dyannas seventh child perishing. And of course, as an ominous warning for the tragedy at Summerhall.
Her husband, and four younger children, were away in the gardens when this happened, but her elder sons, Daeron and Aerion, were int he hall with her when it happened, and witnessed their mothers end. This directly caused Daerons issues with alcoholism, and Aerions cruel behavior.
Maekar was devastated by the loss, and while it is of course known he never took a second wife, it is widely believed he never slept with a woman again.
Hi! And I just wanted to say that I love your hcs! They are so detailed and evocative plus the family tree connections are splendid! How long did this take?
I'm really glad you like them! They actually don't take too long, usually about 30 minutes. The first one took longer tho, because of the large family tree
Daeron II and his Descendants headcanons part 4
*For reference, those are the ages I'm working off of. Some of them are canon, some are approximations, but I needed a guide*
As I stated in my first post (which you can read here) my favorite era of Targaryen history is the time between the First Blackfyre rebellion to Aerys I's death.
This time we'll be going over Alys Arryn and Rhaegel Targaryen. I've been very excited to go over them since they're is a lot of mystery about them. ALSO! Arryn family tree for fun:
Rhaegel was the kindest of his brothers. he was particularly close to Maekar, and the two boys were raised very close together. Maekar was not to hit or chide anyone who insulted Rhaegel.
Rhaegel was his mothers favorite son.
Alys was married to Rhaegel as thanks to her brother, Lord Donnel Arryn, for being such an active supporter of Daeron IIs claim.
Alys was very classically Arryn, in that she could be rather haughty. That being said, she loved Rhaegel, and she was a very active supporter of his political interests, though very often he was oblivious to this.
The two of them were married in 198, just after the First Blackfyre rebellion. Jena Dondarrion actually went into labor and delivered her son Matarys during the wedding celebrations, which was seen as a good omen.
Due to Rhaegels mental health problems, it took them several years to be able to have children. This is also why there is such a large age gap between the twins and Daenora.
Alys loved her twins dearly, but she sort of saw them as political pawns, more than children. It was for this reason she pushed so strongly to have them wed each other, to make them seem like traditional Targaryens (a la Alicent Hightower, and her children Aegon and Helaena.)
Alys was not close to her family-in-law. She resented that Jena Dondarrion and Aelinor Penrose had higher stations than her, even though they came from vassal houses, while her house were Lord Paramount's.
Rhaegel was an excellent singer, and even composed some of his own music, though most of it was destroyed during the Tragedy of Summerhal.
Aside from Baelor, Rhaegel was the most Martell in appearance.
Alys was robbed of the throne five times in her life. When Rhaegel choked on the pie, she was robbed of being queen. When her son Aelor died, and later Aelora, she was robbed of being the Queen Mother. When her daughter Daenora was passed over as heir, and finally, when her grandson Maegor was not selected to be king.
Although Rhaegel had been close to Maekar, Alys hated him, and may have even started the rumors that Maekar would kill his brother. It infuriated her that Maekars line won out in the end. She eventually left Kings Landing, and returned to the Eyrie, where she helped to raise her grand-nephew, Jon Arryn.
Daeron II and his Descendants headcanons part 3
*For reference, those are the ages I'm working off of. Some of them are canon, some are approximations, but I needed a guide*
As I stated in my first post (which you can read here) my favorite era of Targaryen history is the time between the First Blackfyre rebellion to Aerys I's death.
So for part three, I've decided to cover Aerys I and his wife, Aelinor Penrose. After that I'll move on to Rhaegel and Alys, then Maekar and Dyanna, THEN start tackling the grandkids.
To start, I'm going to include an image of my idea for the Penrose family tree, then on to headcanons!
So yeah, Aelinor is not a descendant of Elaena Tagaryen, but she is a descendant of Princess Baela Targaryen and Alyn Oakenfist, through their daughter Laena.
This was part of the reason why Aelinor was married to Aerys, for her royal lineage. It was also a sort of reward for her brothers having fought and died for Daeron IIs claim to the throne against the blackfyres in the first rebellion.
Aerys felt somewhat neglected by his parents. Baelor was the golden boy, Rhaegel to sweetheart, and Maekar the baby. Aerys was very much the middle child. And so, he retreated into his books.
Aelinor had initially turned to the faith after her brothers were killed, as a way to cope, and to appease her very strict and strong-willed mother.
Aelinor and Aerys were married in 204, when she was 18 and he was 32.
Aerys had romantic, but not sexual, attraction towards Bloodrave. Aelinor, on the other hand, hated him, since he worshiped the old gods.
They got along well initially, and the rumor that he never consummated the marriage is actually false. The two did have relations a few times, in the first weeks of their marriage.
Aerys at some point read a scroll that convinced him it could not be his line wich survived. It had to be someone else's. It could have been the line "under a bleeding star" which could refer to the Dondarrion sygil (Jena), Dayne sigil (Dyanna), or even Arryn (Alys), with the flying falcon and all. And so he abruptly ceased to share his young wife's bed.
Aelinor hated Aerys by the end of their marriage, for denying her the ability to be a mother.
Aerys regretted the decision to not have children with Aelinor after the death of Aelor and Aelora, but by 220, it was too late
Aerys was mostly serious, but he could have a good sense of humor.
He was cleverer than his younger brothers, though not as much as his elder brother.
Aerys and Aelinor viewed Aelor and Aelora as surrogate children, and their deaths absolutely shattered them. Its no coincidence that Aerys died just 2 years after Aeloras death.
Aelora taking her own life drove Aelinor away from the faith, and it was said after her funeral that she never set foot in a Sept again.
Daeron II and his Descendants headcanons part 2
*For reference, those are the ages I'm working off of. Some of them are canon, some are approximations, but I needed a guide*
As I stated in my first post (which you can read here) my favorite era of Targaryen history is the time between the First Blackfyre rebellion to Aerys I's death.
Now that I've posted about Daeron and Myriah, I think I ought to move onto the best Targaryen Baelor Breakspear, and his wife, Jena Dondarrion.
Anyways, on to the ideas:
They were married in 188, when both were 17
Baelor was married to Jena Dondarrion as a way to appease the marcher lords, who were most upset with Daerons marriage to a dornishwoman.
Due to these prejudices, Jena and Baelor didn't exactly get along in the beggining. And Jena especially butted heads with her mother-in-law, Myriah, and sister-in-law, Dyanna Dayne. Overtime, however, Baelors genuine good nature, and their shared faith allowed a genuine affection to grow.
Though they sometimes disagreed, by the 200s Jena and Myriah had developed a warm friendship. the two were each other's main support when Baelor died in the Ashford Tourney. Jena also had a good relationship with her father-in-law, Daeron. All that being said, she never got a long with Dyanna Dayne, or Maekar, or any of their children. She was known to slap about Daeron (son of Maekar) and Aerion when they displeased her.
She had a pretty crummy relationship with Alys Arryn, her sister-in-law. Alys thought she should have a higher status than Jena, since the Arryns were a greater house than the Dondarrions.
She had a friendship with Aelinor Penrose, almost viewing her as a surrogate daughter.
Baelor was a relatively easy going father, perhaps too easy going. He had a great amount of pressure on him since his youth, mainly to prove his doubters wrong about him beinghalf-dornish, and thus, not the right man to rule the Seven Kingdoms. Though that pressure made him into a good man, and a great fighter, he did not enjoy it, and so he tried to raise his sons the opposite way. Unfortunately, he was to indulgent with them, especially Valarr, and so neither boy grew to be as great and strong as their father.
Baelor and Jena both wanted a daughter, and were disappointed when they were unable to have children after Matarys.
If they had had a daughter, she would have been named Baelora.
Baelor was bisexual, as was Jena. They both knew this about each other.
Jena remained on Dragonstone after her husband, and later sons, deaths.
She had always been strong willed, she became more argumentative after these family losses, except for her last months, when the grief caused her health to fail.
Jena's last word was calling for her little boys.
Daeron II and his Descendants headcanons part 1
*For reference, those are the ages I'm working off of. Some of them are canon, some are approximations, but I needed a guide*
SO, my favorite Targaryen era is the time after the Blackfyre rebellion to Aerys I's death. I think it has so much potential for soap opera level family drama. Since it is a rare time period in Targaryen history with cousins, aunts (from outside the house!), and uncles, rather than just parents and siblings.
Anyways, I would like to write up some of my headcanons and thoughts on this period and the people in it. I will start with Daeron II and Myriah, and try work my way down to their grandchildren. Feel free to use any of my thoughts in your own headcanons/fanfics.
Sorry for all the exposition, on to the ideas:
Daeron II wasn't Aemons son. In fact, he actually kinda disliked his uncle, because of all the bad things that were said about Naerys because of her closeness to him.
He was completely faithful to Myriah.
Myriah was initially very angry at her marriage (which took place in 169) as she had been the heir to Dorne, but was now being shuffled off to marry someone she didn't even know. That changed when she met her groom, however. He was younger than her, and nervous. She sympathized with him, and, soon, found herself wanting to help him, in spite of his awful father. By the birth of their son Aerys, she was wholly in love with Daeron.
Myriah actually didn't had a great relationship with her mother in law Naerys. This was for 2 major reasons. #1. Naerys was deeply religious, and had a strong moral conviction. She, like many other Westerosi, view the Dornish as wanton individuals, who do not conduct themselves appropriately. Naerys was overly critically of how Myriah conducted herself, often suspecting her of infidelity. #2. Naerys son Daeron was, aside from her brother, sort of the only person she had, and she viewed Myriah as competition.
All that being said, Naerys loved her grandchildren, and Myriah was there when Naerys died, giving her comfort in her final moments.
Myriah and Daeron loved all their children equally, though they liked them in different ways. Baelor was considered their golden child, the perfect son. It destroyed them when he died. Aerys was a bit odd, but the tried not to shame him. Notably, while their other sons married young, they allowed Aerys to wait until his late twenties, to give him more time to himself. Rhaegel was their fun loving, sweet, joyful child, who always brought a smile to their faces, even during the difficult years of Aegon IVs rule, or the Blackfyre rebellion. And Maekar was their baby, their little boy. Unfortunately, this blinded them to the bitter man he was turning into.
Daeron IIs last words were calling for his son Baelor and wife Myriah.
Myriah outlived her husband by 10 years. She was an active queen dowager. She supervised the raising of all her granddaughters (Aelora, Daenora, Daella, and Rhae) Towards the end though, she became tired of Kings Landing, and returned to Dragonstone, where she had spent many good years with her husband and young sons (Very inspired by what Queen Alysanne did at the end of her life)
Interestingly, going back a bit, Myriah, unlike most at court, actually got along well with Serenei of Lys. Both of them were foreign women at a hostile court, and bonded over their shared issues. Myriah was deeply upset when Serenei died, and afterwards, she took over the raising of Shiera Seastar, effectively raising her as a surrogate daughter. This is interesting, seeing as she had little time, love, or patience for her husbands other bastard siblings.
Headcanons for Walder Frey's wives
Perra Royce
Born in 200, she is the only wife to be older than Walder Frey
She was very angry at her marriage to him, (which took place in 226) as she deemed the new money Freys as far beneath the old house of Royce. She was very vocal about this, and her dislike of the muddy Riverlands. This is why it took them several years to have children, they’re first child, Stevron, not being born until 233.
Her favorite child was her third son Aenys. She thought her older sons too weak, and too much like their father
She died in 244, one year after the birth of her daughter Perriane. Supposedly of a pox, though it has been rumored that she was poisoned by her disgruntled husband.
Cyrenna Swann
Born in 230, she married Walder in 247. She was the older sister of Corenna Swann (233), who married Walder's son and heir Stevron.
She was very strong willed, as expected of a Stormlander, and though her husband was not too fond of her, the Riverlanders liked her quite a bit, and she remains one of the more popular of Walder's wives
Lesbian
Her sons were born in quick succession, Jared was born less than a year after the wedding, and Luceon less than a year after him, in 249. The birth was difficult, and during it, Cyrenna caught an infection. She died one month later, in 249, aged 19
Amarei Crakehall
Born in 229, she married walder in 250.
Had a bit of a flirty personality, but she did not cheat on Walder, as he insinuates. She was one of his least favorite wives, mostly because of her outgoing personality.
She was very devoted to her child, and did not have a favorite.
She confronted Walder several times, she earned her admonishment and even physical attacks, but she continued to hold her head high.
She died in 264, after delivering her final child, Raymond
Alyssa Blackwood
Born in 247, she married Walder in 265
Although she did not like her husband, she understood him better than the previous wives, and so was able to get along with him much better. She is one of the wives he liked more.
She was a strict mother with her children, in order to prepare them for the cutthroat nature of the Frey family, and world at large. Lothar is the way he is because of her.
She died mysteriously in 272, at her family's home.
Sarya Whent
Born in 255, she married walder in 273.
Very political match. She was the younger sister of Minisa Whent, who was married to Lord Paramount Hoster Tully.
A nervous woman, growing up at Harrenhall made her odd.
She struggled with fertility, like her sister, and she died 275, after a fall off the twins at midnight. Some believe it was a suicide, which it may well have been, while others think it was murder.
Bethany Rosby
Born in 253, she married Walder at her family’s home in 278, New Years day.
Timid and often sickly, she worried over her children constantly. She was rather pious, and had actually wished to become a silent sister.
She died in 283, giving birth to Roslin.
Annara Farring
Born in 265, she married Walder in 284.
For her beauty, personality, and willingness to placate him, She was Walder's favorite wife, and he sired the least amount of bastards during their marriage. Ironically, she was the only wife who did not have children with just him. The elder children were all his, but Shirei was the daughter of Symond Frey, who blackmailed her into sex over the story that she had slept with Black Walder.
She died giving birth to Shirei in 297, one year before the start of the story.
Joyeuse Erenford
Born in 282, she married Walder 298.
Cleverest of all his wives, and quickly becoming the favorite. She plays the part of a pious and wispy girl, there is a hidden cleverness to her, and she intends to see to it that her blood ends up in charge of the twins, somehow or another. She is hoping for a girl, to marry to the eventual lord of the crossing.
She’ll survive the main series.

Hello there everyone of Tumblr, right now I am in a debate on universal healthcare vs the American system of healthcare. The person I am debating with is saying that in universal healthcare, the wait is too long, and that often, the treatment is not even available, and patients are sent home to suffer or even die. So, to Tumbler users of countries who have universal health care, what are your thoughts on this?
Trying to find a painting
Hey there Tumblr, I need some help. I am trying to find a painting a remember seeing on pinterest recently. It showed a Russian (maybe Ukrainian/Slavic) woman, close up, who had a dark hair scarf, long face, and brown hair. She also had a small mouth, and her face/head was slightly leaning away from the viewer. She was in the woods, I believe getting branches, which she had tied to her back. The painting style looked to be around the 1900s, but I may be wrong. It was twilight in the painting I think. I really need to find it, because it represents my oc really well. If anyone knows what it is, I would be really grateful. Feel free to reblog this post to share it, or better yet, find the painting. If you are shy, you can also private message me. Thank you, and good luck!
Nevermind, found it, it was Herring Dish, by Konstantin Makovsky
Hear me out but…. The riverlands would be a great place for the
Quakers
movement to start
oh. my god yeah
particularly being founded in the idea of pacifism. Bc they live in a time loop of constant war and intergenerational violence, the Westerosi George Fox would invent the idea of maybe not killing his neighbors over the whims of his feudal overlords and everyone would be like woagh.
Also the idea of there being no central leadership and that the gods reside inside each and every person bc, again, the riverlands are a place of constant strife and differing opinions, so the concept that everyone is worthy of understanding the gods and worshiping them in the way they feel most comfortable absolutely takes off
and then this all evolves into early communism thank you for listening to my ted talk
So, this is random, but these are the vibes that each region gives me:
Protistant: Riverlands, Stormlands (Baratheons rebelled against Targaryens, Lutherans against the Vatican, do you see what I'm saying?)
Catholic: Westerlands, THE REACH, The Vale (maybe, I'm a little torn on the Vale.)
Calvinist: Crownlands
The North is Orthodox, Dorne is Coptic.
The Iron Islands are Mormon.
I made some Targaryen ladies with this doll divine!
From left to right: Princess Daella, Princess Rhae (daughters of Maekar I) Queen Betha Blackwood (wife of Aegon V) Princess Shaera (daughter of Aegon V and wife of Jaehaerys II) Princess Rhaelle (daughter of Aegon V and wife of Lord Ormund Baratheon) Princess Rhaella (daughter of Jaehaerys II and wife of Aerys II)
All thanks to Doll Divine for this character maker, and to GRRM for the characters.
*Bonus! Headcanons for them bellow:
*Image is supposed to be from 258, the year before Summerhall. Rhaella is 13 years old, and newly married 😢 to Aerys. (Jaehaerys II when I catch you Jaehaerys II) (My poor baby was to young for all that, I hate it!) (she should have been in school doodling with glitter pens)
Daella: married to Dunk the tall, which is why she is dressed more plainly than the others, as her station is lower due to her marriage to a commoner. One of her descendants is Brienne of Tarth. She in many ways rejected high society, and she was thankful to not be married to her brother Egg.
Rhae: Opposite of Daella. Deeply upset she did not marry Egg, especially since he became king. She continued to view herself as part of the main Targaryen family, so she often dressed above her station *see photo above*. Married to a Dayne cousin, had two sons who died at Summerhall.
Betha: She was strong willed in her youth, which is what Aegon found attractive about her. She survived Summerhall by a few days, but died of her burns. she was very disappointed in her elder four children, and did little to hide it, so her favorite child was very much Rhaelle.
Shaera: Adored Jaehaerys when they were young, and loved him till the day he died, but she privately regretted marrying him, due to how their son, Aerys turned out. Main political force in Kings Landing while her husband ruled, but when her son became king, he kicked her out of the city, due to built up resentment for his arranged marriage. She went to go live with her sister Rhaelle on Storms End, where she died in 269.
Rhaelle: Did NOT like her family, particularly her siblings, and so she did everything in her power to make herself a true Baratheon. She almost always wore their colors, and she she dressed in Stormlander fashion. Absolutely adored her husband, son, and grandsons. passed away the year before the tourney of Harrenhal. She was the longest lived of her siblings.
Rhaella: Named for her aunt *see above*. Her favorite child was Viserys. She was also close to her grandmother Betha, but she disliked her parents, mainly for forcing her to marry Aerys. She had certain affections for the Princess of Dorne, but she dared not act on them.
New OC
I'm working on an oc of mine, Myranda Lannister. I haven't fully figured her out yet, so if people want to ask questions about her, feel free, it would really help! Her face claim is Lucrezia Borgia from The Borgias TV show, and I'm thinking she'll be married to someone from the Reach, maybe even a Tyrell......
