So, I pray the Jesus prayer every day because of the teachings about Christ of which it reminds me, because it helps my mind to get and stay in a state of prayer, and because it is a powerful tool for my personal conformity to Christ. Yet, I know that there are some people who hear this and say, āWhoa, this sounds a little to mystical to me.ā Or perhaps you come from a background where people did spiritual exercises like this, but it didnāt seem to benefit them. Maybe there are some who are reading this saying, āthat sounds interesting.ā Well, whether youāre someone opposed to the Jesus prayer, interested in it, or someone who wants to start praying it with me. I have only one thing to say, āCome and see.ā Come and see the way the Jesus prayer can work in your life. Come and see why Christians for the last two-thousand years have been praying prayers like this, come and see what Jesus will do in your life through the Jesus prayer.
