kim dokja wants to live but doesn’t believe he deserves to live and the whole story of orv is based on the tension between these two desires. throughout orv he rationalizes it by taking upon the goal of giving yjh and all the other characters a happy life and once he is behind a fourth wall it manifests by forcing him to live to keep the world alive. his ever-repeating sacrifices are a reflection of these desires where both are fulfilled—he gets to die as he believes he deserves but lived as he secretly wishes he will. and twsa before it becomes the world is the reason for his survival. he needs to see this story to his end because he’s the only one who reads it. twsa has to be for one reader or kdjs dogged devotion would not mean as much.
