what people don’t understand about how adhd is disabling is that it’s not just getting temporarily distracted from, like, school work or hobbies. it’s getting distracted/being unable to motivate yourself to go to the doctor, eat regularly, do hygiene tasks, etc. it’s not knowing when or how long it will take you to do something, ANYTHING, and in many cases that thing is taking a shower or keeping your house from turning into a biohazard. it’s about being fundamentally incapable of controlling your attention and focus on anything, even and especially things you need to do to survive.
point and flex your feet ten times or until satisfied,
rotate your ankles in each direction ten times in each direction or until satisfied,
give 'em a little shake!

oh dear
oh its bad back there.
At last, the time has come to again be formless. Just completely incomprehensible in shape under 9 pounds of denim.
The ideal body (unknowable).
No IDs, but these tags got me in a huff:
So ok look. The point is not the flared leg by itself. These cannot be yoga pants. These are, and you have to understand this if you are too young to have worn them, BLUE JEANS. And this was the last years before all jeans were 70% spandex.
They were denim, and they weren't bell bottoms. They hung loose from the knee in a way that would make a wizard envious. We all walked around like we were wearing hakama. And they dragged on the ground. That was important. Ragged cuffs. If your jeans weren't so long that they had ratty cuffs, they were embarrassingly short.
And the thing about denim is that it's a twill weave and it's cotton. So not only does it hold a lot of water, it wicks. Walking around in these suckers on a wet day could get you wet to the knees even if you never stepped in a puddle.
Then you'd go inside and take off your shoes and try to avoid letting your freezing, wet, filthy pant legs touch your skin.
Yoga pants. Hmf.
people in cold climates would have a tide line of white marks around their knees (if they were normal height) in the winter.
From wicking up road salt.
The visceral memory of that time is something that never leaves you. Everyone's jeans were many inches higher in the back than the front because you kept stepping on the hem and ripping it off. Your lower legs were so very cold. Every new pair of jeans literally enveloped your entire foot, they were so so long re: leg-to-waist ratio. Walking on a rainy day was a legitimate workout. You have no idea.
Hey, what’s Winnie the pooh’s favorite color?
Yellow
No it’s red because of his shirt
No, it’s yellow because he loves honey
You have no idea what you’re talking about

beastly reminder
Almost. Years ago my computer suddenly stopped working and lost everything on it. Fortunately a relatively recent backup still existed bc of my family, a recent parts switch, and dumb luck. But last year a friend of mine got hacked and lost close to everything he had done creatively in the last 17-ish years. Art. Novels in progress. Entire conlangs. DnD character Sheets. Music he had made. All gone. He never backed any of it up. Few months later I started this habit (or ritual, almost) of drawing a reminder beast any time I would make a full complete backup. In hopes that seeing these things might remind others and myself. (Another factor here is that I am an animator and some of the stuff on my computer took literal years to make. And the film university I go to urges us to take this stuff seriously, too.)
we are learning a lot about tumblr today
today:
pjackk was unbanned because @3liza finally got through to staff about a fucking weird bug with the support form that got the metal bastard banned because it claimed he posted some Bulgarian nationalist shit (this was not a real post that pjackk ever posted). other high-profile bans like @garaks-padded-bra was hit with the same bug and its being investigated
there was a new feature added that lets people see your comments on your blog page in a tab like your likes or followers. everyone was mad that it was not toggle-able. it was actually toggle-able.
pjackk was either banned again or he deactivated and we'll know in 30 days when the deactivation grace period is up and his blog is renamed
cool idea! anyone got a link for where to read / print these?
Not exactly the same zines but it definitely looks like the same author judging by the mousegirl!
Though it seems the guide to safer drug use from the dhammaflow website contains all the individual ones anyway, on that page is actually another link, this one : https://dsdistro.noblogs.org/post/2025/03/26/radical-guide-to-safe-drug-use-pocket-zines/
Which has all the zines from the picture :)

i have been in an battle with wild grape vines, various itch ivy, thorn trees, and brambles for the last month.
i have (once again) confirmed that i am largely not reactive to most itch vines like poison ivy and the like– right up until i'm cutting and ripping out thick vines containing the most potent sap.
i have welcomed some black walnuts and evergreens back into the sun
deal with itchy ivy before the vine is as thick as your thumb
poison ivy as thick or more thick than my thumb
left, not my pic. right, my pic.
