Fascism, Zionism (and similar forms of Settler-Colonial Ultranationalism like Manifest Destiny or Nazi Lebensraum), Racism, Sexism, Elitism, Ableism, Homophobia, Transphobia and Intersexism, Imperialism and Colonialism, Slavery, Genocide, Ethnic Cleansing, Antisemitism, Islamaphobia, Nationalism and Ultranationalism, Capitalism (especially of the Free Market, Libertarian, or "Anarchist" varieties), and any others I am neglecting to mention are all in my free fire zone. I love to study science, history, historiography, etc.; and in those fields I am a generalist. I am not an expert in any field, but I usually know enough when someone is trying to blow smoke up my ass.

I love SciFi, Alternate History, or Historically Accurate/Authentic media of all varieties and regardless of the medium as long as it has a good concept behind it with consistent internal logic. Movies, Books, Videogames, doesn't matter. Art in general, but especially those.

Guns and weapons are cool too, I guess.

Not just striking coal miners, but striking coal miners that were effectively slaves to the companies they were striking against as all of Appalachia was company town after company town with conditions so unimaginably brutal and inhumane that it permanently stunted states like West Virginia and had the people of those mountains colored as ignorant, violent, ungrateful hicks who can't be civil with that narrative being pushed by The Government and the Coal Companies with many people, Leftists included, still holding to to this day. The miners were watching their families starve, as they got sick from Black Lung as the owners got unimaginably rich; when faced with death by inaction or death in the hope of forcing the bosses to negotiate... The US Military was called in after even the goddamn Pinkertons, the Police, and Corporate Security all failed to stop the Miners, and when the grunts didn't stop them either they sent in the Bombers, which mind you, were still a very new concept at the time. Bombing the miners was literally a prototype run for many countries' bomber doctrines going into WW2, if not that then also the displays showing how vulnerable large buildings and ships were to being attacked by flying targets.

I find it kinda disgusting that a religion is big enough and has enough political influence to operate schools and hospitals to begin with, medicine is science not faith. The care people objectively fucking need shouldn't be denied because the church that runs the ER doesn't allow Blood Transfusion or Abortion or any other care especially when it saves lives, like Gender Affirming Care does.

No. Medicine is ultimately a science, so it should be medical professionals, Biologists with expertise in human biology, geneticists, psychologists, etc. using science and evidence to decide the most appropriate course of action based on a person's apparent need.

I have my own ethics, because *duh*. We all do, it's the "If you don't support abortion, don't fucking get one" debate. *Your* outdated, primitive superstitions formulated mainly by a bunch of legitimately savage and genocidal bronze and iron age Shepards or later Medeavil Age Politicians, and faulty logical traps to defend them shouldn't inform what care a person needs and when and why or what kind of education they get if you believe in religious liberty and personal bodily autonomy, especially if they don't share those beliefs or do share your faith but are not as zealous as the guys making the decisions. I think medically-assisted suicide in cases of terminal illnesses should be permitted to prevent slow, agonizing, and painful deaths, that kind of thing are my opinions based on my ethics not that "maybe the people who know what the fuck they're doing most in this context should have the final say, not a no-nothing priest" same standard for everything else, if you don't know shit about a topic you shouldn't be teaching or working in that field. I don't expect a Carpenter to know much about Astronomy, but if I need help with woodworking you better bet I'll ask them for advice; that's just common sense.

In some places the only options for medical care and education are religious hospitals and schools, especially Catholic ones; double especially if you happen to be poor or working class. If my partner needs an abortion or I need hormones and the only nearby option is a Catholic hospital, we're both Shit out of Luck. This goes for weirdo cultists like Christian-Scientists (not Christians who are Scientists, there's plenty of those doing amazing work) as well. Both religions are big enough to lobby The State to get explicitly stated exceptions that on paper don't only apply to them but in reality, only apply to them materially. Same with education and Catholic schools, especially those that receive any amount of funding from the government. In America and other secular countries, that is a violation of people's rights to not have religion pushed on them or used to make decisions for them.

I'm fine with individuals making decisions like whether or not to get blood transfusions, or take certain medicines, or not supporting stuff like GAC and Abortion. But institutions that are expected to serve people who aren't part of their faith are doing the opposite of religious freedom in those cases, especially if they get funding or subsidies from The State, that's my problem. Not that they exist at all, I think it's dumb but I think a lot of other things are dumb but have no real issues with people engaging in, like playing Sports Videogames.

I've been thinking lately about something...

What is Humanity's Greatest Achievement?

Some will say stuff like, The Moon Landing or not blowing ourselves to kingdom come with Nukes or Indoor Plumbing. But, I rarely see people talking about The Eradication of Smallpox.

Smallpox used to terrify everyone from a random peasant to the most powerful Kings and Emperor's. The fate of history was effectively in the hands of a single disease, with no known cure or treatment, for thousands of years. But in 1986, the case of the disease passed and the last unvaccinated person was vaccinated and the disease was gone. The one time the West and East worked together for the betterment of the entire Human race. One of the most terrifying diseases ever, is just gone... To the point people my age don't even really know it even existed and some even deny it ever existed.

There are people who deny the existence of the scariest disease in our species' history, because we as a species fucking eliminated it on a global scale.
