DISCORD IS IMPLEMENTING GLOBAL AGE VERIFICATION REQUIREMENTS. GO YELL AT THEM ABOUT IT.

Ethical problems of surveillance aside, Discord cannot be trusted with your information. There was already a data breach of 70,000 users' government IDs in October of 2025.
The support email listed on Discord's website for contact does not work. Instead, flood their system via submitting support requests via this form.
Discord also has an account on X, so if you have an account you can go put them on blast over there.
Public outrage over decisions like this does work. Make your voices heard.
They have a bluesky too and what's interesting about that is they never post there so if it were to be trending that they are stupid for doing it they might have to start using it to keep tabs on the situation...
CANCEL YOUR NITRO, LEAVE 1 STAR REVIEWS IN THE APP STORE, SEND AN ANGRY SUPPORT TICKET, AND BLOW THIS UP ON EVERY SOCMED
Hit them where it hurts: their wallet, and their reputation. We can reverse this attempt at fascist surveillance.
DO NOT GIVE ANY APP A SCAN OF YOUR FACE OR ID. It's NEVER safe, NEVER secure, and WILL be used to harm you.
Worst comes to worse, look for alternatives. I know it'll be rough, but we cannot use an app that violates and puts us in danger like this.

You can use this handy-dandy template I made too:
Hello Discord support team,
I have been a Discord user since {account creation date} and a Nitro subscriber since {nitro subscription date}, but today I was forced to cancel my subscription.
Discordâs new policy of requiring age verification is a gross violation of my privacy. I should not be expected to provide a selfie or picture of my government ID to verify Iâm not a minor. Itâs outrageous and insulting, especially when Iâve been monetarily supporting Discord for so long.
Even if the third party processor (who was unspecified in the announcement) promises to delete the images after verification, they are under no legal obligation to do so. There is no transparency in how they process the data.
Iâm deeply disappointed in this policy and I can no longer monetarily support this company. Furthermore, I will encourage my friends and family to cancel their subscriptions as well, as well as spreading the word across social media.
If this policy is reversed, I will consider reinstating my nitro membership.
Thank you,
{Your name}
