my fav fic idea i have rn is where Stiles has to take care of a baby for some reason and Derek sees him and is immediately like “oh fuck” and his instincts take over and he just trips over himself trying to provide for Stiles and help him take care of the baby. You see, there used to be a time (not all that long ago) when being offline was the default. And going online was the rare and wonderful thing that we (briefly) enjoyed.

hey heads up if you're getting into film photography as the kids seem to be doing these days (i did this in my late teens/early 20s): black and white film is super easy to develop at home and doesnt need a darkroom, just a dark bag. Community darkrooms are around, you just gotta go lookin
if you dont have a community darkroom but you do have a few friends in on the hobby it's very useful to pool and share development equipment and chemicals. they come in large quantities, and they're not particularly toxic (DO read the labels for safety/disposal). you can even DIY the chemicals you need that will come out probably "worse" but might look cool anyways
scanning/printing takes a different set of equipment but you can also DIY a lightbox and a phone camera rig then invert the colors to take pictures of the film to get b&w positives
if you are lucky enough to have a community darkroom you will learn so much, not just how to develop film. oldheads love to help with old cameras and students are ALWAYS doing this shit. b&w photography is ALWAYS cool
each variety of film has its own development timetable based on ISO so you'll have to look it up buy that's all on the internet. once you get handy with it you can learn to push/pull, scan the sprockets, and other fun shit
if your community darkroom has a print lab you're in luck because there's even more cool shit to do there. those buttons in photoshop got their names from somewhere

Rewatching episode 3 of season 6 Stargate SG-1 and I'm again reminded how much I love Jonas Quinn.
Man just freaking worried about proving himself and does in the most dangerous way by getting into water to mess with alien tech to save the others, and then using his knowledge of the placr to get away, all without coming for air.
I also discovered that apparently Corin Nemec did the shot in one take, man just stayed underwater a long ass time and that's freaking hard.
Jonas you're a cutie patotie and you deserved to become a recurring character after the season ended and Daniel returned.
Hopefully Amazon will remember him in the revival of Stargate ❤️🙏
