most of the talk on this website about Game Changer is how Sam Reich psychologically tortures his contestants, but I want to make it clear to the uninitiated that he's actually extremely ethical about it
He sends out a company wide email and asks them to choose episodes based on a chili pepper rating system
meaning he doesn't put 🌶️🌶️ people into 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ episodes
they're also big on consent ie cast and crew have to be okay with it before they'll do nudity or something like that in an episode
it's like the bdsm of psychological torture. safe, sane, and consensual.
the contestants know what they're getting into, and they're full down
Brennan Lee Mulligan is enrichment for Sam Reich
it's a very efficient system
Kind of a dog heaven is squirrel hell situation
if you are lucky you will love someone and their hair will thin and their breasts will sag and you will kiss them everywhere over and over again
I was having a conversation with someone who was lamenting over how to maintain attraction to our partners as their bodies change and age and feeling self conscious herself about that process and I was like. we should be so lucky as to see them through these many years as we are seen ourselves. Hope that helps u understand
reminds me of this quote i love

My absolute hottest take is that, from a culturally relative perspective, no food is bad. None of it. It's an expression of culture, art, history, ecology, material conditions, subjective taste. It's all inedible pap to somebody and the taste of childhood for someone else. Americans be eating cheesed burger. Pea wet is as good as gravy in Wigan. The French eat snails and the Inuit eat seal, the Germans eat sauerkraut and the Russians drink kvass, the Inca ate cavy and the Romans ate flamingo. People around the world have been eagerly awaiting their serving of simple bread or thin porridge or fermented milk product or pickled whatever-the-fuck since we learned to cook food over fire. We all love the slop we grew up eating. Food is a reflection of millennia of culture and loving human artistic expression. Attempting to extrapolate largely harmless online food banter into actual serious comparative rankings or half-baked critical analyses of cultures based on how much you subjectively don't like what they eat is a miserable way to live. Live a little. Peace and love on the only planet with food.
This is a post of critical support for bland English cuisine and unhinged Brazilian pizzas and everything else I don't understand. Turning food, something literally every person on earth enjoys, into a moral or cultural judgement is, well, if it's not full-blown reactionary and parochial... then it's at least kind of nasty, huh?
that one extremely homoerotic painting of a babylonian man listening to a babylonian twink playing babylonian harp. that one
yeah
this is my favorite painting full stop
that “babylonian twink” is King David
The baffled twink composing Hallelujah
“that Babylonian twink is king David”
I laughed so hard I nearly choked, but the description is spot on
quick are you mythologizing sex again? are you making it seem like a special category of human behavior rather than just a thing people do? are you forgetting that it can be silly or fun or simply pedestrian? are you forgetting that it requires conversation and negotiation just like every other human activity that involves other people?
things that are extremely normal to say and do not kill the mood or remove the romance or anything:
hey do you want to have sex tonight/tomorrow/later this week?
would you like it if I say x during sex?
do you want to put on some music?
hold on, let me look up how to tie that knot again.
can we change positions? this one isn't great for my back/arm/whatever.
I don't want to put on like 2014 Sex Positive Educator Voice but like I promise it's not that special or scary and you don't have to completely change your behavior to have sex, it's normal and healthy to talk about it and negotiate and figure things out as you go. and when I see people say things like "I feel like it would be weird to stop and put on music/adjust positions/etc" I feel like that's part of mythologizing sex? like there's not some magical mood that you will ruin by speaking up or making some adjustments or setting something up. it's okay I swear.
this is on my dash and I just want to add in response to some comments that yes, there are some people who will think that things like this kill the mood. those are not the people you should be having sex with. in my experience the mythical "mood" is only easy to kill if a) you are making a bad decision and stopping makes you think about it too hard b) you're afraid of sex and talking about sex.
but also, if something does happen/an interruption goes on too long/whatever and you're simply no longer turned on, you can go back to foreplay or just decide to have sex another time instead. it's okay!
also, read the notes on this post for some pretty good sex stories. my favorite is the person who played rock-paper-scissors with their partner to decide who had to get out of the shower and run around the house wet and naked to get a condom.
I'm kind of at a point where the "queer spaces" i feel safest in are the ones that have a pet cishet dude or two hanging around
When a space cares a lot about making sure its members are queer enough to participate, you get a space that aggressively polices the queerness of its members. There's no way around that, it's pretty much tautologically true. Only by paradoxically not actually caring if you're queer or not can a group really accept the full range of what queerness can look like.
Also, a space that has room for a cis straight guy who means well and wants the best for his friends has two crucial things going for it.
1) it has space for people who are learning and might fuck up a bit while they figure things out, and that learning process is probably not so godawful and unpleasant that a guy with other prospects would have to be a fool not to go find some nicer friends. This is nice because it is very difficult to personally embody the entire alphabet at once, and learning how to be good allies to one another is a crucial part of queer solidarity. It's nice for that process not to be painful.
2) it has space for people who aren't yet willing to or comfortable with presenting an externally queer label to continue to exist and soak up the queer vibes and information, which means it's welcoming to actual questioning people rather than the theory of questioning people. Probably it therefore has more interest in actually doing things rather than hierarchy politics.
3) it's probably not a radfem tar pit interested in weaponising you against people they've decided to hate in a social smear war that benefits nobody and nothing but their need for a power trip
Oh it’s even more than that! The cis straight guy is very often a ride home, dad or husband. Or a Bob which I will explain in this essay is a signifier of a healthy ecosystem, like frogs are.
This is a 3 am take so consider this a blanket apology and a readmore but if you hate this post you were warned.
A boy can dream, can't he?
Hey, so if you have Windows 11 installed and have been losing your mind over the fact that you can't find your own files because Windows is now prioritizing internet search results first, you can fix it by following this guide:
Stop the OS from pulling up web results when you just want files and apps.
As someone with over 900 GB of intentionally and properly named files on her computer (I do a lot of digital art and digital media work that requires high-volume files that function off of dependencies), this feature was making me furious. I followed the above instructions and can confirm that the method outlined solves the problem.
YES. YES!!! OH MY GOD I LOVE YOU TTHANK YOU YES YES YES IM SO HAPPY THANK YOU!!!!!

Ever notice how any time someone calls you "cringe", 99 times out of 100 what they mean is "you're happy and I don't like it"
No one ever calls bullying cringe. No one ever calls rudeness cringe. No one ever calls toxic negativity cringe. Only hobbies get called cringe. Only enjoying things get called cringe. Only jokes and mannerisms and interests get called cringe.
Human Rights Watch’s annual report highlights politicians’ double standards and ‘transactional diplomacy’ amid escalating crises
Human rights across the world are in a parlous state as leaders shun their obligations to uphold international law, according to the annual report of Human Rights Watch (HRW). In its 2024 world report, HRW warns grimly of escalating human rights crises around the globe, with wartime atrocities increasing, suppression of human rights defenders on the rise, and universal human rights principles and laws being attacked and undermined by governments. The report highlights political leaders’ increasing disregard for international human rights laws. The report says “selective government outrage and transactional diplomacy” and double standards in recognising international human rights laws has put countless lives at risk.

If you’re willing to support fascists whenever violence erupts at demonstrations, it incentivizes fascists to ensure all demonstrations turn violent.
If you have any negative condition that would cause you to align with fascists, then fascism will work to create those conditions. The only acceptable posture towards fascism is absolute and total defiance and opposition.” End ID]
