And why are we ignoring the fact that elevated testosterone in female people is a health issue? Itās not just no big deal. Itās something that can impact female health. Especially if youāre literally injecting wrong sex hormones into yourself which can lead to increased risk of heart attack and osteoporosis and thatās just scratching the surface.
It isnāt āfearmongeringā to talk about these very real risks.

I think part of the problem is that ppl mostly focus on the effects cross-sex hormones have on aesthetics and fertility only. I've only ever seen any acknowledgement of other medical consequences (osteoporosis, elevated heart attack risk, painful vaginal atrophy, etc.) discussed on detrans and radfem pages.
TRAs don't like to acknowledge detransitioners at all, and if they do they usually straight up lie that everything short of "bottom surgery" is reversible. And rightwingers mostly harp on about how sad it is that detrans women aren't ~beautiful feminine~ waifs anymore and/or that they'll never be able to have/breastfeed their own children (generally without ever considering whether the woman in question actually even wants to have kids). And nobody on either side wants to listen to actual feminists or detransitioners.

why can the āsafety and rightsā of trans women only be accessed by sleeping in a twin bed 5 feet away from a female person in a twin bed in a college dorm? what safety is that providing? and if males are not more dangerous than females, why do you need to seek safety in female dorms? if āamabsā pose no safety risks over āafabsā then go be safe in the male dorm! and no is saying that males with a special identity are especially inherently dangerous because of their identity, we are saying ALL males are potentially dangerous, REGARDLESS of any identities they have. this is not some internal identity based discrimination, it is sex-segregation for safety, on the basis of sex. it is not segregation on the basis of identity, regardless of sex, it is segregation based on sex, regardless of identity.
itās not really a concept, itās a fact. and maybe if IDs accurately reflected sex, dorms could be easily divided into male and female areas! okay so āafabā housing is allowed but only if it exists for religion, trauma or safety. what if i told you that the reason that ALL dorms and bathrooms and locker rooms were sex-segregated until recently WAS in fact for safety. and that was because of the TRAUMA that was caused by the established pattern of male violence and the millennia-long asymmetry of harm between men and women.
Thing is the schools still know this, some might have co-ed dorms you can opt into, but we very much still seperate dorms by sex for safety of the young women. Ime people really didn't gaf who was walking into the male dorms, the boys included. But a guy going into the girls dorm: immediately sussed by any girls nearby, and rightfully so.

Not really. Honestly, there's no way forward for global feminism if we can't get people to acknowledge the truth about sex and gender, and legally protect that truth. Western feminists being obsessed with this issue is highly appropriate. Women in the rest of the world are counting on white, western feminists to stamp this issue into the ground and prevent the rot of sex denial from leaking into the rest of the world. I'm not mad at their obsession because it's their duty. Privileged white women not being protected based on sex in law means less privileged women are going to be subject to catastrophic policies from the international organisations that have influence on the lives of women in developing countries. This is not just about trans, the implications of sex denial policies are enormous and will spiral. If sex denial goes unchallenged, all global feminist advocacy is in peril.

The other two scenarios (and she will be despised if she picks either) are for her toĀ 1) kill him later (when he canāt use his physical advantage, eg when heās asleep or has his back turned on her), but it wonāt be self-defence because it wonāt be immediate. (In the Jacqueline Sauvage case, one of the main arguments against her was that she shot her husband in the back at a time when he wasnāt actively beating her up) 2) use a weapon, but it wonāt be self-defence because it wonāt be proportionate. Obviously this condition also benefits men, because when a woman gets punched by her husband and she punches him back, itās seen as a proportionate response but it shouldnāt be, because her punch (typically) wonāt do nearly as much damage as his. Anything else she does (like use a weapon) to try and hurt him as much as he hurt her will be considered a disproportionate response and will mean it wasnāt self-defence.
The idea that killing your abuser in a honest face-to-face fight with your bare hands is honourable and forgivable, but killing your abuser in any other way is shameful and wrong, utterly benefits men and protects men. Itās also why poison was historically reviled as a āfemale weaponā and as the most cowardly way to kill someone. Poison has been described asĀ āa great equalizerā - no wonder men hated it. Men have always hated, and will keep hating, shaming, and outlawing, any form of attack through which women can compensate our disadvantage in strength and size, and they will keep praising as the only valid method of self-defence, the method that presents the smallest risk of being effectively used by women against them.

When someone asks "what is a women?" from TRA's in feminist and gender based conversations, these days I've been seeing some feminists say it is not important and it's stupid to fight over it. Feminism, is a movement about liberating women, the female sex from patriarchy. No, you CANNOT protect a group of people without having a definition for that group of people.
Like for example, how the hell can we protect children without a proper definition of who children are? Some people could say it's under 18 or 16, some people could even say it's under 10, like how some islamic men claim girls are adults and fit for marriage after menstruating. Definitions are NECESSARY for protection.
It's pretty clear that women, the female sex is oppressed under the patriarchy. A women in Afghanistan can't opt in or out of her oppression as a trans identified male can. Since y'all now say the word women should be based on a social contruct or whatever, what are we supposed to call an adult human female then? Something that includes cis women, trans men, anyone on a female development path. Why does the original word have to change it's definition? Can't y'all at least make another word?
Also, under patriarchy, obviously other groups of people are also oppressed, for example gay men. Anyone who's gender non conforming basically. This does not mean they should be included in feminism, as trans identified males. Doesn't mean they deserve any less or whatever, as y'all claim radfems claim.
