I have reached a point of just pure dissatisfaction
Well my week has been exciting so far.
I had some other work to do this morning (Figuring out some algae stuff involving 1000 L mesocosm up a mountain) so mystery species has been sitting alone in the lab all morning…..
Made it up to the lab today to find this. It’s probably from the fridge defrosting and not the creepy “algae”.
June 13th Update.
According to a few colleagues it’s either a plant, an algae, or a fungi. So that’s been helpful.
After a day with some sunlight I think I might be seeing some chloroplasts.
It seems to like the nutrient solution I added yesterday though!
Meet my kitten Ragnar, he has extra toes ❤️
Just my cat ❤️ sky
Wakey wakey Mr. nom noms
Animal Crossing GameCube was so heartless. Villagers would randomly paint your roof. It was so hard to make money. One time a villager sold me a mystery item without even asking and took all the money I was carrying. 12 thousand bells. It was a pitfall seed.
also. under certain circumstances forgetting to save will get your face taken away
You guys are forgetting the best part
animals when you’re rude to them in new leaf: haha you’re such a kidder! oh well have a good day!
animals when you’re rude to them on gamecube: haha it’s funny how much of an ugly bitch you are, you absolute degenerate :) i’m going to take everything you love, do you know that? you’ll never be shit. you’re going to die alone in the woods with no one around to even hear your last words :)
OKAY THIS CAME UP ON MY ACTIVITY AGAIN. WHY WON’T YOU LET THIS POST DIE IT HAS BEEN 4 YEARS PLEASE
Someone find that post of that dude who gets stuck in an elevator cause that has this exact energy
@shitposting-hobbits-to-gallifrey
Exactly the same energy thank you my comrade
HI YES I ADORE THIS
The holy trinity
IT HAS BEEN YEARS FOR ALL 3 OF US PLEASE
Okay so I’m watching my friend’s cats while she’s away and she left me descriptions so I could tell who’s who
They’re pretty accurate
oh god why is this me lol help
I’m so glad this came back into my life
ahahahahahahah omg
I worked with toddlers and pre schoolers for three years. Sometimes I accidentally slip and tell a friend to say bye to an inanimate object (“say bye bus!”) & occasionally they unthinkingly just do it.
I’m glad there’s a teacher version of “accidentally called teacher ‘mom’”
when I worked at Medieval Times occasionally I would slip in real life and call people “my lord”
One time during family prayer, dad began: “our father who art in heaven, American Airlines, how can I help you?”
One time my dad went to the White Castle drive-thru and the lady (who was supposed to say ‘Welcome to White Castle, what’s your crave?’) asked, “Welcome to White Castle, what’s your problem?”
She apologized profusely while my dad proceeded to lose his shit laughing.
Yesterday I went to Wendy’s and the girl said “Welcome to McDonalds” and then just sighed
Somebody in the elevator asked me what floor I lived on, and I answered “please open your books to page eight”, and we just kind of stared at each other, blinking.
i work retail full time and my script gets frequently messy - ill ask the same question twice, or say “$2.60 is your total” while handing back their change, or say “how are you doing today?” instead of “have a good day!” like name it ive bungled it
but anyway, this lady came thru my line buying a book and the review on the front said: “few books are well written, fewer still are important, and this book manages to be both”
as i handed her the bag i was trying to say “thanks, youre all set” and instead my brain mashed up the review and i said “thanks, youre important”
there was this short pause in which i tried to figure out what the fuck id just said. she blinked and then said “oh thank you! youre important too!”
the real kicker was one of my coworkers. when i was relating this story later his response was “at least you said something NICE. last week i accidentally combined ‘youre welcome’ and ‘no problem’ into ‘youre a problem’”
one time, since I used to work as a daycare teacher with preschoolers, i was on my college campus in my gym, and someone was running in the weight room and tripped over a machine and fell, and instead of offering to help, I just stared and said, “This is why we use our walking feet.” we both sat there for a while until the guy nodded and said, “yeah, okay, i should’ve done that.”
I’ve spent a good chunk of time working in kitchens, so I still will reflexively say shit like “behind” and “coming around” as I maneuver through spaces and around people.
Which, actually, not such a bad thing; I’m a big guy and can come across as imposing pretty easily. The position calls can help defuse that, and also help avoid collisions.
Less good is the time my brain was half functional and I let slip a “coming with a knife” while grocery shopping. THAT took some explaining.
I work in an office and send tens of emails to customers every day. Once my mum asked me to send her a train ticket I had bought for her. I emailed her “Hello mum, as agreed, please find attached the ticked you requested. Thanks, Alex”
i worked as a camp counselor, and i would have the kids tap somewhere on my legs if they needed something because im a pretty tall dude. today asked my cat if he needed something.
I have woken up in a cold sweat saying “is that for here or to go?”
My dad called me the other day and I was kind of tired and was also busy and I answered “thank you for calling papa johns on dam neck this is Olivia can I put you on hold? WAIT NO”
I tried to put my own dad on hold
This is why we use our walking feet. LOLOLOL
Once was sleeping next to my now ex after working a 16 hour shift at steak n shake, he had tried to wake me up to ask me something and my response was how we made the foot long hot dog and I then proceeded to say "that'll be $4.33 at the window" and passed back out

the entire time i spent watching this movie i was just waiting for charlotte to turn into a traitorous bitch, because that is what the media has told me for my entire life that her character archetype is supposed to do
kudos to disney for proving me wrong
Let me tell you how great Lottie is. 1. She has EVERYTHING. This girl can literally have anything she wants and instead of hanging out with girls of her social class she’s friends with a poor girl. 2. Not only is she below her social class but she is African American which back in the twenties was COMPLETELY frowned upon. Lottie is risking social status to be friends with Tia. 3. When Tia and Naveen end up together in the end, Lottie doesn’t throw a fit or act upset, she is genuinely happy that Tiana has found true love even though that’s all Lottie has ever wanted her whole life. Something that her daddy can’t buy for her. 4. She’s true to herself and doesn’t let others judge her just because of how much money she has and she has a wonderful friend like Tiana that loves her for that. Lottie is wonderful and is highly underrated.
LOTTIE IS THE GREATEST, OKAY
LIL SOUTHERN BELLE PRINCESS CUTIEPIEBUBU
i will forever wit for a second movie were lottie gets the true love she always deserved
Y’all hyping a character for being nice to a Black person lord have mercy

Nobody is stopping you from praising this white woman.
Anyway y’all are hyping a white woman in the Jim Crow south for being nice to a Black woman and “risking her social status”.
Nasty.
Since when has praising someone for going against norms and even possibly some laws, risking herself and her family, for a friendship nasty you dappy bitter bitch?
Just cause you ain’t got friends doesn’t mean you gotta be hateful bout this

She would always be the girl who preferred acoustic covers, rainy days indoors and paperback books. You could take her anywhere and no where and it would have meant something. Her soul was soft and it bled often, but it was the most honest thing she could have offered you.

So ,I’m a music teacher and every year we have what are called “walk through observations”. Basically, this means that 4 times a year the principal or vice principal comes into my class to assess my teaching. Fine. Sure. No problem. Well, today I was doing an activity with my 1st graders called “Musical Groceries”. Basically, they make up a fake shopping list and then together we figure out what the rhythm of the words on the list is. To do that, a small group of students plays the beat on the conga drum while the rest of the students move around the room while chanting the word. It sounds weird but it’s a great way for the kids to figure out the relationship between syllables and rhythm. They quickly get bored of walking the rhythm so I let them come up with their own ways of moving around the room.( skipping, hopping, etc) One student suggested they hop around the room like frogs, way down low to the ground. Okay fine. Or it was fine until my vice principal walked in to do my observation only to find 20 seven year olds hopping around the room like a hoard of little hob-goblins, rhythmically chanting “BREAD! BREAD! BREAD!” while five other kids played ominous beats in a drum circle. I have never seen anyone look so confused in my life and I really don’t want to know the rating I got on my observation.
I’m literally laughing so hard rn
