leave important things where you can see them. if they go in a box or a drawer you will forget they exist

put any appointments or deadlines in your phone calendar As Soon As you get them. set a reminder for a week before, a day before, an hour before, as many as you need as often as you need them.

when that little voice in your head says "i dont need to write that down, ill remember it" that is the devil talking!!! write it down anyway!!

plan for down time. have a few hours at the end of every day to just do fun stuff like engage in your hyperfixations. even if you didnt get all of your work done that day, have the rest anyway. you probably spent the whole day beating yourself up for not doing what you Should be doing, so you still need the break.

if you never eat vegetables because its too much effort to chop and cook them, get the frozen or canned shit. it doesnt go off for ages and you just have to microwave it. theres no point buying fresh vegetables if they just keep going off and being left to rot in the bottom of your fridge

if you struggle to decide what to have for dinner every day, take the decision out of it. choose a set of meals and eat those on rotation until you get sick of them, then choose some new ones and do it again.

its not stupid if it works! our brains literally have a chemical deficiency. you are allowed to accommodate yourself. go forth and stop making your life more difficult than it has to be because "this shouldn't be this hard". it is hard, so make it easier.

Big thing that changed my entire life was simply labelling things so I know exactly what's in them. Every single storage box and tool/craft drawer has a list of the contents on the front in big bright letters, because if it didn't have a label, I would go through every single box before I found the right thing or would forget what I was looking for.

Also clear/transparent food storage jars and boxes so the food is not invisible. I even got rid of the drawer in my fridge because I would forget to check it until the vegetables inside formed their own subculture.

the reason I bring up those posts is because every time I saw one I felt less and less bad about not brushing them and when my teeth actually started causing problems it made my MH worse because I was having horrible anxiety about my teeth getting worse and now I’m facing procedures that will probably be pretty painful and will definitely be expensive so I kinda got some beef with the anti-recovery culture on this site

Anyone else see those videos online of women complaining and worrying about kids being in Sephora and kids doing make up and skin care routines... *while* doing said make up and skincare? Do we lack some brain function? How are you not seeing the correlation? You're posting these videos and kids, these little girls, are looking up TO YOU. They're copying US! Funding the make up industry effects the women of our future. Covering up insecurities, covering your face in make up and filters effects the women of our future. Turning artistic and bodily cultural expressions into an industry was a mistake. Make up started as art and self care (egypt's eyeliner actually helped them with the intense sunlight in ancient times or to show some sort of status like in brazilian native indigenous culture) and ended up as one of the faces of dystopian hell where artificial appearances are highly valued and nothing really has much any meaning behind it.

But the problem is: make up influencers don't have any control on who watches their content. Parents can control what their kids are seeing and getting rid of the problem of their kids being depressed and having self image issues before it starts, usually during teenage years.

Adults have the power to say "nah fuck this shit" or wholeheartedly believe they need to buy X thing to look pretty like the (heavily edited in post-production) social media celebrity #2978. Self image problems or not, it's still within their power.

Parents making financial decisions on buying things for their kids that are meant for adults because they were exposed to that, though? That only speaks how they're irresponsible and they lack any guidance skills and that will affect their kids by default.
