Not to be controversial, but...

we give Phil Collins a lot of (well-deserved) credit for his work on the Tarzan soundtrack, but Bryan Adams really gave 110% on the soundtrack for Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. He also sang the French version of the song, which is pretty cool!

ok but ignoring the fact they just forgot to cover hudsons lil gun hip tattoo let’s actually say shane has that tattoo. he got it when he scored his first hat trick and got so fucking wasted with the team for the first time ever that they convinced him to let one of their girlfriends give him a tattoo to celebrate and he’s like okey in his lil drunk haze of being around so many people but so happy and full of adrenaline and when this girl asks what he wants he goes “a gun” and someone calls out “why!” and he smiles coly and is like “because I’m a good shot” and everyone’s hootin and hollerin and someone grabs his shoulders and is shaking him and messing up his hair and he’s laughing along and then after a minute the girl comes with a little sketch of a gun and goes “where do you want it?” and he starts to freak a bit because oh is he really going to do this and then the girl is like “what about on your hipbone? that’s hot” and she obviously flirting even shane realises that but then an old timer on the team (bros like 29) that shane secretly has a crush on is like “hell yeah rookie, girl is right that’s hot as fuck” and shane just nods in agreement and then he’s being positioned by the girl and suddenly his sweats are pulled down below his hipbone and a stencil of the gun is pressed to his hip and he doesn’t really remember much after that but he does remember waking up with it and thinking i wonder what Rozanov will say and then pinching himself at that thought.

it's also tucked away when he's in sochi in episode two while his father is still alive, his brother is harassing him through texts, ect

and noticeably absent here when he's caring for his father during the summer in ep 4

but of course the moment when he's alone in moscow in ep 5 after his father has passed and he's speaking to shane, it's out. the details of this show will make me go insane

Read the post and loved it exactly for the potential of what's in the tags: uh oh now David made it funnnn and Shane, quick little bean that he is, riiiight as he's getting to the edge of the rink, about to be picked up and passed to mom, gets up and skates away to the middle of the rink and PLOMP lays down on his back, giggling and kicking his little skates. "Again, Dad (Shane does not call David daddy in front of his friends, he's not a baby!), again!!"

It doesn't help David and Yuna that everyone and their mother thinks this is the funniest, cutest thing ever and laughs, just spurring Shane to do it more and more.

coupled with the idea of shane's conversation with rose when he talks about how hockey got less fun because it got more intense and so so did he: the idea of ilya dramatically flopping on his back on the ice one day at camp when they're done running drills with the kids

and he is teasingly refusing to get up because he is dead now, hollander, can you not see this, and shane hesitates for just a second, grabs his hand, plants one of his skates, and just sends him sliding off towards the side of the rink, thinking about how his dad used to do it to him after every single practice

and ilya laughs and shane laughs and for this moment at least, being on the ice is nothing but Fun again

Dylan had begged off of awards for the past few years, preferring to spend time with his family. The dynamic, obviously, had changed. Plus, the awards were in Orlando, and the boys wanted to go to Disney. They would fly in with their nanny Monday.

He stayed for most of the after party, catching up with other vets he'd lost touch with. Hunter and Archer were both in attendance, and they'd made loose plans to meet in Archer's penthouse tomorrow when they weren't so tired. Then Dylan went the fuck to bed.

Loud knocking woke him. The alarm clock on the nightstand read nearly two in the morning. Jesus. The knock came again.

Outside his door, Ilya Rozanov looked harried, dressed for a club, twitchy and maybe drunk. "Sorry," he said. "I didn't know who else — it's Micky."

In Roz's room down the hall, Micky was on the floor. Conscious, thank god, but curled on his side and shivering. The crotch of his pants was soaked.

"Fuck." Dylan hurried to kneel by his head. "What did he take?"

Looking like a kid in trouble with the teacher, Roz rubbed the back of his neck and said, "I thought it was just coke."

Rookie Ilya billeting with his older captain and his omega husband. His omega is a little strange, he tells Ilya, kinda a little freak but he's hot enough that he makes up for it.

His captain's omega (he cannot think about him as Hollander or, jesus christ, Shane or he might start getting really bad ideas) greets Ilya and almost immediately starts breaking down Ilya's performance at the 2009 world juniors. Its not like when his dad or his coachs do it because along with the critique is also quiet admiring praise. This goes on for awhile before his captain tells him to shut up. Hollander thanks him and Ilya tries not to spring across the table and attack the captain of his hockey team.

The omega drives him to the practice rink and then follows him in. Shane explains he works for the tream, something to do with stats, and he can use the employee gym facilities. Ilya invites him out onto the ice.

Shane can skate.

He's actually the same age as Ilya, if Shane hadn't presented that summer they would have met at the 2008 world juniors. He might have beat Ilya. He moves so beautifully on the ice.

Ilya can't help but ask why Shane doesn't play for an university or an omega league. He's good enough that he must practice every day.

That's when Shane explains that his husband wants him at home. He's lucky really to have someone who puts up with him. That even if he mated young, he's comfortable.

Ilya decides he's going to take Shane away from his team captain. He may not have the ability yet but he's Ilya fucking Rozanov. He's a generational player that they're building the organization around.

He's gonna fuck Shane. His fucking captain deserves to be cucked.
