I know everyone talks about the seals in Japan, like Niko, Yo-chan, Yuki, ect. but here's some cuties from the US!!

Seattle Aquarium:

Casey! He's a harbour seal born in Seaside, Oregon, specifically he came from the Seaside Aquarium! He's a cutie you definitely don't want to miss :)

Hogan! He came from the Point Defiance Zoo in Washington and came to Seattle in 2015! Look at those beautiful eyes!

Flounder! He's the newest addition to the Seattle Aquarium and came from Miami's now-closed Seaquarium in 2026! Seaquarium closed due to animal welfare concerns, including unclean tanks, just a reminder to support ethical aquariums and rehab centers so they could keep doing great work! I just know Flounder is in a better place :)

Zoey!! Mother of Zara the seal and a beloved face to see :)

She recently reunited with her daughter after being transferred from another facility back in 2019!! She was rescued from Massachusetts and can't be released back into the wild due to recurring infections.

Got into a conversation yesterday about how I'm not engaging with Harry Potter and the person I was talking with was like "What about published Harry Potter fanfiction with the serial numbers filed off?" And I was like "I'm not a fan of published fanfiction with the serial numbers filed off of anything. There are plenty of original stories and nonfiction I'd read before I read that. One Piece has over 110 volumes and Berserk has 383 chapters." And then they were like "what about Marauders era stuff?" And i blinked because I'm starting to realize HP fans think Marauders era is like, a degree of separation from Harry Potter just because it's largely offscreen backstory speculation and it's like, "No asshole, you're still engaging with this shit and giving JKR your time, energy, as well as continued cultural relevance. It's the same shit whether you're engaging with Harry or his dad."

Hi. It's me, Trustfund Whitelady, here to tell you all about my queer-owned small business oddities shop. Check out our multiple products on offer such as: quartz bought in bulk from Amazon, $5 vinyl stickers of animals in cowboy hats, king cake plastic baby earrings, and up in our display case, a taxidermied bat we for sure don't have a permit for. Our brick and mortar store has no available parking or public restroom but it DOES smell so strongly of incense that you'll need to hose yourself down after exiting :) If you can't make it out to the shop, no worries! We'll be at the craft market next Saturday between the amigurumi mushrooms stall and the 3d printed fidget slugs stall
