Legolas, despite their continuous rifts, listened to his father’s words... No matter what, a son will always trust his daddy in the end.
The recruitment scene of Peter Parker in CA: Civil War makes me smile every time ’cause here Tony displays his first fatherly affection towards him.
After having introduced himself and explained why he stopped by, Tony checks out Peter’s homemade suit and banters it because of its ragged and amateurish appearance. In fact, Stark wonders how Peter could wear such a “onesie” like that and also be able to see through those scruffy lenses. However, since a new Spider-Man suit has to be made, Tony takes up projecting it from scratch and we all know how it turned out to be in the end...
Tony stuck to Peter’s own previous design of the costume because he knew the kid would’ve loved it and thus been inspired by it.
I’ve noticed as I’m growing up that I easily tear up when I watch displays of affection between beasts and humans. Because when you're getting older and you start living consciously, you soon realise that animals’ devotion to you is the most sincere and unlimited form of love ❤️
I pity those who didn't nor will ever have the privilege to embrace this kind of love.

I love this scene from LOTR: The Two Towers ’cause it shows the unconditional trust Legolas has put in Aragorn. The elf knew that his friend could’ve made it through anyway, so the first thing he said after seeing him was nothing but “Le abdollen” (“You’re late”); as he was certain that the Strider would’ve shown up and joined them sooner or later.
This sequence proves that Legolas does think highly of Aragorn that he believes deep down his loyal fella could face even the most dreadful death and still make it out alive.
I’m so relieved now that they got to fixing Sonic’s appearance
GOTTAGOFAST!
“Comment est-ce qu'un monde qui fait d'aussi beaux objets, pourrait être aussi barbare?”
Thranduil in the books:
“Bilbo Baggins, you are more worthy to wear the armor of elf-princes than many who have looked more comely in it.”
Thranduil in the movies:
”If I'm not mistaken, this is the halfling who stole the keys to my dungeons from under the nose of my guards.”
Overly sassy.
“Alone is what I have, alone protects me” - Sherlock
Somehow I related to Sherlock’s sceptical opinion of relationships. I always fended for myself on many occasions I’ve encountered in my life without getting help from anyone. Besides, you’ll know you’ve found your real friends when they’ll come through for you in the time of need...
Everything had begun at school. I bet several boys and girls like me had to deal with troublesome bullies throughout the school years. I deem this experience as my first battle in the arena. However, I decided to take advantage of it and started building up my armor to protect myself from all the shit there was around. Although it came to a steep price... 🤕
But I learned it the hard way now that my shell is growing thicker and stronger as the years pass by. This wariness I carry towards people has been rising within me and it doesn't look like it is ever going to stop. Although it is understandable for I grew fond of many friends of mine in the past who turned out to be nothing but flaky and untrustworthy. Then, if there's one other thing that really drives me nuts is being ghosted. For me, it doesn't make sense whatsoever. You don't have the spunk to say you don't wanna see me or hang out with me anymore? Then please, shove off 🖕🏼Nowadays keeping this couldn't-give-a-damn attitude towards people is somewhat considered on trend for some dicks 😒
So what's the best way to overcome this impending surge of shit? Being on your own. Yeah, I know what you all may be thinking now ”There's no use escaping your problems, you should face reality and deal with it.” I couldn't agree more. Yet sometimes a respite is necessary ’cause these wounds take their time to mend... Alone does protect you.

🌱 the Elvenking 🍃
A proper King should never be brought down by his weaknesses, but stand tall anytime. The burden of a throne comes at a price after all... A ruler is supposed to be the beacon of his people and his major commitment is to stick with them through thick and thin. Neither a deficiency nor a single meltdown is permitted when you're in charge to rule a kingdom. However, would you ever trust a king who doesn't make you feel completely safe?
And in my opinion Thranduil, rightful King of Mirkwood, is playing his part perfectly. At first sight, he comes off as a greedy, selfish, ruthless and remarkably snobbish chap and you wouldn’t ever say what he’d actually been through. Indeed this regal aura he built himself set him apart from the rest and helps him deal with the present with clarity of mind. In fact, he’s a man who apparently owns anything someone could yearn for, yet the most precious treasure he ever had has been taken away from him in the nastiest circumstances. This is when his beloved wife got kidnapped by the enemy forces and savagely tortured to death. Later it is revealed by Gandalf in a deleted scene of the last movie of The Hobbit trilogy that this eager quest Thranduil is pursuing to get the Silverlight gems doesn't end in itself, rather it is about the jewels his wife left for him. But this is not the last strife he has to handle... Furthermore, his only son Legolas, after the final battle, says to his father that he no longer wants to come back home and that he longs for another better life somewhere else, meaning to leave Thranduil behind as well. The King respects the decision his son made and greets him with one last piece of advice along with a reminder to Legolas of the great love his dearly departed mother carried for him.
How can a King, a husband and a father cope with all of this? Despite everything, the King still stands.
Long live King Thranduil 💚
I don’t believe in God. I’ve never had and honestly from here on out, I don't think I ever will. Because God is supposed to be charitable with everyone, right? He/She/It or whatever the f*** is would never turn his back on you, right? Yet that’s exactly what has happened to me. The person I love the most in this world came up with atrocious news. The worst thing you could ever imagine... And it hit me like a bucket of ice-cold water. I can't stand the idea of her being in such a danger. It had to be me, not you... 😞
I’ll stick with you, no matter what. Stay strong mama, I love you ❤️

Note to self: Don’t ever mess with Sherlock
3:50 am. I’ve watched my alarm clock at least 10 times since I decided to turn in. I’m sticking my legs in and out of the sheets and turning my pillow upside down over and over again as some dreary thoughts in my mind keep me from sleeping. There's nothing scarier than a bleak night when you can't fall asleep. This embracing dark makes you feel vulnerable and gives you this damn sensation that everything bad you see stuck in your head at that moment can't be ever utterly fixed. So you believe that the only thing left you can actually do is staring defenseless into that dark and waiting until the night fades away. This sounds like torture to me. Moreover, it doesn't matter how knackered you might be, it will always be challenging to drift off. I’ve been through downers, yoga sessions and meditation, even altered my diet to find my own peace. I also tried to take advantage of this condition by doing something significant during the early hours like reading or studying. Turned out to be unattainable and worthless. Bedtime is starting to become very stressful...

natural beauty.
“My hair is blonder, naturally, and curly, I generally tend to look like a golden retriever” - Tom Hiddleston
“My hair’s been dyed quite a bit darker. I'm auburn and that's just not right for Sherlock. He's a creature of the night. [...] The archetypal image of him is that he's a slick-looking, dark-haired gentleman” - Benedict Cumberbatch
“My natural colour is dark blonde. But when I was four or five, my mother dyed my hair dark brown, and she decided to keep it that way. And I stuck with that.” - Angelina Jolie
“My hair grows out blonde, but my coloring is similar to that of a redhead. So... I really like having red hair. I'm a natural blonde, but I really like the red." - Emma Stone

Sherlock giving his best man’s speech at John and Mary’s wedding [S3 ep. 2 ”The Sign of Three”]
What I love most about this particular scene is how Sherlock goes on his speech wholeheartedly and completely off the bat and finds himself surprised by the audience’s moving reaction to it. As a high-functioning sociopath (he’s always cared about pointing this out), he lacks empathy and, for that reason, he’s not capable to understand that what he's actually saying here is truly heartwarming for the newlyweds. Guests’ response, however, catches him all at sea and he starts to panic as he cannot figure out what's going on. Concerned that he may have said something wrong, Sherlock turns to the groom for explanations and John, visibly touched by his speech, reassures his best friend and tenderly holds him tight as a sign of gratitude.
We’re before a man of intelligence beyond compare. A man who can see through anything and everything, yet still so fragile and a tad clumsy in front of the plainest emotions. That's what makes Sherlock Holmes so special 💙
