Hello, I'm not a new face to whump community. I'm more of a lurker and a collector of prompts and the sorts. I haven't actually been that active around here due to irl stuff after making this blog. :) I may write on occasion if feeling like so.

About me

Call me Pierce or Kataja primarily, I use he/him aux pronouns, my full set is he/it/xe (xe/xer/xir). This blog is operated by an adult genderqueer trans guy who does not speak English as his first language. Expect grammar errors and such, I don't correct typos anymore unless they fully bother me.

I've been a hobbyist writer on the fanfiction side more than a few years but only recently (give or take 3 years now) got on Tumblr to write and see the communities, my main blog is Reveseke and that's where I'll be interacting from.

- I'm peacefic personally and fully consider myself unaligned to shipcourse otherwise. I don't care, don't involve me, this is a whump blog so draw your conclusions from there.

some of my interests are the horror genre (body, military, medical horror. Splatterpunk.), and the sci-fi genres. I love symbolism and the usage of dog and generally animal tropes and metaphors in writing.

My primary interest in whump subgenres have been

There's probably more, but I haven't really touched down on it much so more will be discovered on its own.

What I do?

I primarily collect things for further reference, such as posts about prompts, scenarios, dialogue, etc etc.

I will be writing on occasion, mostly of my own characters. Maybe in the vein of fanfiction with certain characters and OC pairings. Who knows, maybe I'll do something with established characters from my main blog's AUs even lol.

I had a project I started to flesh out when I first made this blog called Pack Bonded with nonhuman whumpee + lab, fantasy & pet whump, the primary characters regarding that were Kaline and Mika. I will be revisiting this topic on my blog on occasion, I don't exactly have any written works for this yet just notes, I think?

organ harvesting industry where rich people pay to have themselves replicated for a perfect genetic match. Is it done in an emergency? Or are they created "just in case" and live their whole lives knowing what they were made for?

human experimentation. Don't worry, it's "ethical", they're not really people, they just have all the material we need to cure horrible diseases quicker. Don't you want that?

beyond medical experiments, what about testing new weapons? Testing the limits of the human body?

Clones are also found to be useful on the front lines. Just bodies for the meat grinder. Distractions, or simply disposable. Sent to recklessly attack the front gates of a compound so the special teams can extract prisoners. And if the clones get captured? No loss. Their short training period made sure to indoctrinate them. They know there's nothing more noble than dying following orders.

Maybe every career that faces high risks has a clone on the team. The first one into a dangerous area, the scout, the sacrifice. They know better than to question it.

what about menial labor? It's fine, they popped into the world fully grown and that's all they've ever known. Don't talk to them about freedom or leisure; they just wouldn't understand.

people paying to clone someone they know. Maybe someone they hate, maybe a celebrity crush, maybe just a stranger they saw in passing and found attractive. It's in poor taste to openly talk about what you do to someone else's clone, but what you do behind closed doors is nobody's business.

Because their previous owner would threaten to put them down if they got to be “too much to deal with”. If they stopped being useful. If they weren’t worth the trouble.

Toxic Whumpee things

• Wanting violent intimacy with Caretaker because they're feeling self-loathing and feel like they need to get hurt like they did by Whumper. They know Caretaker would never but they angrily demand it of them because they can't forgive themselves for "being a disappointment"

• Aggressively pushing Caretaker away (either emotionally or physically or both) when they're thinking of doing something self-destructive. Pulling away is a big red flag to Caretaker because they normally want closeness

• Caretaker telling Whumpee that they'll give them space since they seem like they need it. Despite pushing away Whumpee emotionally replies, "All I want is attention. I make a fool of myself for attention. I degrade myself for attention. I'll do anything for attention. Just ask Whumper." Those words hit Caretaker hard because they know how desperate and hurt and lonely and scared Whumpee was with Whumper. Caretaker questions how much Whumpee trusts them with their heart and body after hearing that

• Whumpee falling into all manner of obsessive addiction hell because they feel like they have to be chained to something in order to live. They can't go through life feeling free of all things. They feel like they need to be owned even if it's by a bad habit and not a person

Slave whumpee being gifted to a royal that they haven’t seen yet. They clean empty rooms, tend fires for no one, dust knock knacks for no one to look at.

It’s both the safest they’d felt in a long time and also the most afraid. Dread haunts them for when the royal finally does show up, but in the meantime, they’re taking orders from someone else, someone without the authority to really hurt them.

They try not to let themselves slack, but one day, they struggle to keep up. Their head is pounding, everything aches, and they find themself curling up on the floor in front of the fireplace “for just a moment, swear it” because they’re just so cold…

Waking up to a blanket draped over them, a pillow tucked under their head, the royal they’d been given to sitting in an armchair watching them thoughtfully.

Whumpee finding Caretakers notes about taking care of them and realizing how many little things they were doing to make sure they were okay.

Lists of Whumpees favorite foods, their fears and how to avoid them, affirmations that Whumpee recognizes, how to help with panic attacks, etc.

Caretaker had been learning them front and back, writing their own personal guidebook, just for them.

(Bonus if there’s a few snippets that are like a diary, talking about how worried they were, or how proud, just Caretakers feelings towards Whumpee and their recovery. Even better if Whumpee had never been thought of as even human, much less with this level of love and concern.)

Ways to trap your Whumpee

Put them in a cage that's too small for them so that even if they did get out their muscles would be too stiff for them to escape

Lock them in the brig of a ship - surrounded by hostile crew and the endless ocean

Threaten/kidnap someone they love - Whumpee is trapped in a contract to do Whumper's bidding to save them

Stick them in a locked box-bed

Set a literal trap for them - they're running through the forest when suddenly a bear trap rips through their ankle, or the floor gives out and they fall into a spiked pit

Use BAIT - Whumpee shows up to rescue a gagged Caretaker, only for their panicked "mmmph!" to turn into "go! quick, get out of here!" Whumpee turns just as a sedative bites into their neck

Whumpee hearing Caretakers “real voice” and being startled by it.

Caretaker speaks so softly and gently to whumpee, and it’s usually just the two of them, so the first time they hear Caretaker talk to a stranger and their voice is deeper and firmer and just… strange. It throws them for a loop but also feels…good? That they get the special sweet soft voice and it’s just for them, it’s not just how Caretaker talks.

After the whump happens, Whumpee does a complete identity change. New name, new look, new (fake) backstory. Maybe they’re hiding from Whumper or maybe they just wanted some change. The old them is dead now.

Eventually, the team/their friends find out about the existence of Whumper, and more specifically they find out about the horrific things they did to a person going by a name they’ve never heard before: Whumpee’s old name.

Whumpee doesn’t want to speak up. This’ll pass and the team will assume their alter ego died or something and Whumper will be forgotten. They just have to push through it and ignore how they feel when they hear their friends commenting on the situation like Whumpee wasn’t a part of it.

Of course, the truth comes out eventually. Whumper recognises them, or someone else on the team points out a distinct, unique similarity between Whumpee and that person. Everyone’s horrified.

They’ve known for months about this terrible, terrible thing that happened to someone. Hell, one person made a pretty tasteless joke about it over brunch. But all of it feels scarily real when now they know it wasn’t just something that happened to some unknown mystery person.

It happened to Whumpee. Their Whumpee.
