The thing that really boils my potatoes about AI in general is that I have been a creative professional for over a decade now and the devil has ALWAYS been in the details. Big and small, I've had single-person businesses rip me to shreds over how their colors turned out on newsprint, and have worked with huge companies with THICK brand guidelines with every detail of their brand identity laid out and enforced with an iron fist.

Hot take but if you give homeless people drugs or alcohol UNPROMPTED instead of money or food youre an asshole. First of all you dont know if this person even consumes what youre giving them or if they have bad memories involving the substance (there are sober homeless people believe it or not), second of all they could be battling addiction issues already and you mightve given them the necessary push to break their sobriety and lastly youre contributing to furtering the idea that all homeless are addicts by default.

A friend of mine constantly gets given joints for free when he is panhandling for food. He is already battling addiction issues and it gets so hard to say no when people just give him drugs for free when hes out asking for food.

Plus Ive seen this trend on the internet recently of people giving alcohol to homeless people with the caption "keeping the homeless homeless" and i find this so fucking gross.

Since people on this site have no reading comprehension i want to make it clear that this is not about giving/sharing with homeless people you personally know, giving to somebody who is asking for it specifically or buying it for somebody who asked you to. The reason it is not as well known as other paintings by Van Gogh is probably because it’s actually a « copy » of a drawing by Jean-François Millet, an artist he admired greatly.

I put copy in quotation marks because the two artworks are very different. Van Gogh made 21 copies after Millet’s works from the asylum in Saint-Remy, and he called them « translations ».

The original title of the painting posted by op is actually First steps, after Millet.
