Personality: Rimu is an elegant and refined young man who loves heroism, classical music, and poetry. He was more reserved compared to his sister, as he tends to rather subdue, especially to his superiors. He deeply loved his sister, Marisa, but he constantly failed to understand her and her viewpoints. Rimu tends to get into conflict with Touya as he does not believe that the latter takes his hero job seriously and is often reckless. He is semi-closeted gay, as only his closest friends knew, but the public did not. He is deeply protective of his fiancé, Hanawa. He has a severe fear of the dark due to his traumatic childhood. He both hated and feared his late father to the point that he refused to speak his name.

History: Rimu Hidaka was born into the once-powerful and dying Hidaka family as the eldest and only son of the patriarch and his wife, Akusu. From birth, Rimu was forced to train by his father to have a strong quirk. He rarely had any time for rest, even when his mother tried to stop his father. For years, the boy was heavily abused by his father to be on the same level as Endeavor, which would bring recognition and wealth to the Hidaka name. A constant punishment for Rimu was being locked in a dark room for hours on end, causing him to develop scotophobia to the point where he could only sleep if the lights were on. 

When Rimu was eight years old, the Hidaka patriarch killed his mother in a fit of rage before putting her body in the master bedroom. Afterward, he locked Marisa in her room and prohibited her from leaving. During her imprisonment, Rimu secretly visited his sister with books and extra food. After Marisa escaped, the Hidaka patriarch was suddenly ambushed and brutally killed, causing a fire that completely consumed the training hall. Endeavor then rescued Rimu. When asked what happened, the young boy could only say that there was a “monster”. 

The HPSC was the one who took him in and found out what actually occurred. However, they decided to never tell him the full truth of it and instead guided him to a “restored” path. They trained him on becoming a “good” hero and espionage. This was where he would occasionally meet Keigo. 

He was sent to U.A, where he met Touya Todoroki when they were in Class A at age 15. It was only in the second year that he finally saw his sister for the first time in eight years. Despite rebuilding their relationship, Marisa still preferred to remain under Mirai Sasaki as she grew close to him.

After graduating along with his classmates, Rimu took the hero name “Sunburst” and became one of the Flaming Sidekickers, meeting up with his former upperclassman, Moe. While working under Endeavor, he experienced verbal abuse that slowly chipped away at his self-esteem. This was mainly because of Rimu’s resemblance to Touya. It deeply hurt him because he had looked up to him for years before this. 

He met Hanawa when the latter was being harassed and chased by several thugs when he was twenty-one years old. Soon after, they started a relationship, and they are currently engaged. This relationship gave him the confidence to leave the Endeavor Agency and start his own. 

Before starting his own agency, Rimu and Hidaka traveled to Europe, primarily in Italy and Greece, and worked with EU Heroes. 

After he returned to Japan, he started to prepare himself to become an uncle to his future niece/nephew while trying to work on tensions between him and his brother-in-law, Touya Todoroki.

I’ve been obsessed with this song called Run Rabbit and I find myself imagining your Tosho au along the lyrics especially the “Oh forgive me lord, I’m a good girl. I’d never hurt a fly” with Fuyumi as a child and innocent while the part of “You put me in this house, I had to claw right out” with Fuyumi paralyzed at Sekoto Peak and flashes to Tosho as she runs away (Run rabbit, run rabid indeed) just found it so fun to share and this song is just so good.

Oh, that sounds amazing~
