love that in the wickedverse, this poor 12 year old is just stuck in the middle of the most insane dyke drama Oz has ever seen
The Sound of Music (1965) dir. Robert Wise
wait this is just my print that goes like
Don’t let anyone silence your voice or steal your power, which is your vote.
Your vote is private. Your vote is your own.
Vote accordingly.
How many "Trump votes" are abusive MAGA husbands or boyfriends who essentially got two votes, while their wife or girlfriend got none?
To be clear: abusive men may think their wife or girlfriend belongs to them, including their vote. But legally, this is voter fraud.
Report these criminals.
If you know someone like Tom's wife, please encourage them to leave. Leaving an abusive relationship is hard, but staying is dangerous.
Here are some places you can go for domestic violence help:
The Domestic Violence Hotline
National Network to End Domestic Violence
DomesticShelters.org
RAINN
YWCA
Women's Law
There is help, I promise you.
yo it’s literally november 3rd. what’s next the 4th? and then. no it can’t be.
I see the radfems out there saying that every man who's ever been born is a psychopath who's constantly looking for an opportunity to commit a felony and then I remember this one time I was really struggling to get a shopping cart out of another shopping cart and a dude came over to help me, but he couldn't do it, and then another dude came over to help him, and then another came over because it was a challenge he wanted in on, and then I had 3 guys all tearing at a stuck shopping cart, and literally none of them even needed a cart.
And when they got it out, they fist pumped and I said thanks so much and one of them said "easy." And then they left.
And it's like.
I don't think radfems go outside.
When I was 2, I really really wanted a toy from one of those claw machines that are specifically made as a scam. Obviously, I never could get one, and my parents refused to spend a lot of money on it.
And then, one day, I saw some guy (obviously because I was 2, I do not remember what he looked like or even approximate age, he was just ADULT to me) playing one of those claw machines and stoped, transfixed, watching.
He did it, he won a pink toy bunny.
And he immediately gave it to me. Just a random kid, who was watching him play.
20 years later, and I still have it.
Con sonido! 🔈🔉🔊
The face of a woman regretting the music lessons.
This is fairly close to the relationship I had with my mom.
i love those little moments where her face lights up because the joy of the joke far outweighs how sick of it she is. like the moment with the star wars music? *chef’s kiss*
They are both clearly having SO much fun, I love this
Flying Floopy…
the jitteriness was annoying me so i fixed it
Guards! Guards! was not the first Discworld book I read but it is the one that punched my angsty, edgy thirteen-year-old self in the face. I have never had a book hit me like that since. Nothing has ever picked me up by the scruff of the neck and shown me my own face in the mirror that way.
I was angsting around, all "the world is terrible" and "people are evil" and "humans are a blight upon the earth" and "everyone is stupid" and Vimes showed up and said, "Yeah, and?"
So what? So they're stupid and petty - save them anyway. So they're selfish - save them anyway. So it's all fucked and there's never going to be a happy ending - save them anyway. Do it anyway. You don't get to opt out of caring just because they're grubby and ignorant and reactionary and petty because so are you and that's all we've got.
No other book has ever changed my worldview in one blow before or since. I reckon that's something that can only happen to you when you're a teenager anyway. But I've never quite gotten over it.
This is a big theme in Discworld, and it's one that I love.
The witches keep helping people, even when the people are stupid and ignorant and keep doing dumb shit. Because they still deserve help and medical attention and someone to be with them when they die.
Vimes keeps working as a police officer and a leader of police officers because he knows how shitty life can be. If he can make things even a little better, that's good. He keeps gritting his teeth and taking all of the titles and medals Vetinari gives him because it means that he can keep on doing more good for other people.
Death (and Susan) are there for people. Even if it's just picking up the pieces. Because people deserve it in all their messy ugliness.
hard to believe there are actually people out there who think that big noses are ugly and unattractive … like what the fuck is wrong with you ?
I need you specifically to kill yourself. choose a slow and painful method also

WHERE ARE WE????????
achievement unlocked: how did we get here?
From the October 31, 2024 article:
“In the one place in America where women still have a right to choose, you can vote any way you want. And no one will ever know,” Roberts says in the ad as a woman on screen meets up with her husband after casting her ballot for Harris.
The voter winks at a fellow female voter as her husband asks if she made the “right choice.”
Republicans have responded to the video with outrage, with some claiming that a wife lying about her vote is as bad as an affair.
“If I found out Emma was going to the voting booth and pulling the lever for Harris, that’s the same thing as having an affair,” Fox News host Jesse Watters said on air Wednesday in a clip highlighted by Mediaite.
Other GOP members including Charlie Kirk said the thought was “nauseating.”
Reminder so it’s absolutely 100% clear: you can lie about who you voted for
Your dad threaten to kick you out if you don’t vote the way he wants you to, and you don’t vote that way? Lie. Or say you didn’t vote.
Your boss asks who you voted for? Lie. If you can ask if they think that’s appropriate to ask.
Your partner? Lie. Your vote is genuinely yours.
Hell, lie here. You don’t need to tell anyone who you voted for, and you don’t need to be honest about it.
But WAIT - don’t tell someone that you DIDN’T vote - this part of your vote is public record (in the US).
Anyone can look up your voting record and see WHEN you voted.
But no one can see HOW you voted.
The Nightmare Before Christmas (1994) dir. Henry Selick
