If it keeps you from killing yourself it's not stupid. This applies to anything btw.
Bestie. How dare you leave “do not mock the life preserver…” in the tags.

This is the most considerate advice for doing stretches I've ever seen??? Initially I started to go, "...but I can't do that with my knee-" then he showed a way I could do it. I was like... whoa. A video for stretching that is actually considerate towards my disabilities. Astounding and impressive.
I have said this so many times but I think I need to say it again FRIENDSHIP IS NOT LESSER THAN ROMANCE
Article for context: Monument to Human Chain Rescue Unveiled in Almaty
From the article above:
"The installation depicts a chain of people holding onto one another, symbolizing solidarity and mutual assistance. The hand of the final figure extends beyond the fence, allowing visitors to grasp it and symbolically take part in the rescue.
According to media reports, the identities of the individuals who took part in the rescue remain unknown."

sorry the looney tunes movie that got buried by a massive company for corporate purposes is about fighting back against a massive company trying to bury incidents for corporate purposes?
AU where Steve gets hit in Infinity War. he goes down, bleeding profusely, battered and bruised…
and he stands back up and keeps fighting. "Steve?" ...and they lose. and oh god the next years are torture. but he feels himself grow numb, uncaring, focusing on Peggy for no reason. he literally doesn’t get it. and then there's hope. but Nat dies, and then Tony does. and Bucky is back and so is Sam. and he's left with returning the stones. but he’s got no reason to return. he lives out his life and as an old man on that bench gives the shield to Sam. he turns to Bucky, opening his mouth to say something… only to watch Bucky blankly lift a gun to his temple and press the trigger
he screams and thrashes, sobbing, feeling so so heavy with grief. god, this was not supposed to happen. he feels hands on his shoulders, assumes they’re Sam’s
but as his vision clears again, he’s no longer at that lake. and the hands on him aren’t Sam’s, they’re Bucky’s. Bucky talking to him, holding him tightly in place. Bucky, he’d just watched kill himself. he sobs his name out again, and Bucky climbs into bed (and why was there a bed?) next to him. Steve clings to him, crying, the dam finally broken, while Bucky whispers sweet nothings into his hair, kisses his tears away
later, after he was released from what turned out to be a Wakandan hospital, Bucky told him what had actually happened. he’d taken a hard hit and gone down. bleeding out from his guts and the deep gash on his head from the debris he’d crashed into. not getting enough air from how he’d landed. Bucky had called for him (and oh, he must’ve heard that), but he didn’t move
seeing him like that, Thor had gone for the head, effectively ending the war right there. or at least given them room to get Steve into medical
they managed to sew him back up, but he’d lost so much blood that even with the infusion from Bucky, they weren’t sure he was going to make it. and to make things worse, even as his body healed, he wouldn’t wake up
until his spike in heart rate and following thrashing alerted Bucky asleep at his bedside
oh. oh god. none of that had been reality. thank god. the only thing on his mind however- “I love you”
Did your parents ever give you The Talk when you got to be that age?
My parents gave me The Talk and I felt it was adequate
My parents gave me a talk that was grossly inadequate
My parents knew I already knew (they were right) and so did nothing
My parents left this deliberately up to the schools
My parents outsourced this to another trusted source
My parents ignored this responsibility of theirs

if you aren't best friends with your lover and a little bit in love with all your friends than what's the fucking point
im still tearing up thinking about it
about 90% of fanfiction takes place in a utopia where men are thoughtful and unsure of their place in the world
Grace think fondly of his scar if you even care.
I think it’s really cool that in Project Hail Mary the astrophage, which are literally killing all life by eating stars, aren’t really treated as the villain or evil? From the very start Ryland is treating it with curiosity and fascination, wanting to understand more than destroy.
One of the most memorable scenes in the movie is when he’s IN the Petrova Line, and he’s having a moment. Because it’s beautiful. It’s destroying galaxies, uncountable lives, but it’s still beautiful.
The astrophage is a problem, yes, but it’s treated as any other organism. It’s just doing what it does, because it’s also alive and happens to eat stars. Ryland is just happy to have the chance to study it because it’s from space.
the holy grail types of fanfic
Friendly reminder that these only happen slowly, carefully, with lots of reader encouragement, engagement, reflection, and support, and an ending is never a guarantee.
