Ship Warning! Multi x Bruce

Bruce, whom is the beloved King of Gotham, is throwing a ball!

Everyone is invited! Every kingdom; every class!

Bruce is known for hosting lavish, opulent balls. They’re incommensurable to any other. The finest foods, drink, decor, even the scents.

The ball is being held so his sons can find a prince or princess to wed. Or perhaps someone of another class Bruce is not a kind who held down by outdated traditions.

The kids are not happy. Not because of the reasoning, but because the Papa isn’t aware of the danger he’s getting himself into.

Perhaps “danger” wouldn’t be the right word. Bruce is not aware of how beloved he is outside of Gotham. The kids have made sure of that: shredding newspapers, keeping Gotham isolated from visitors (I’m imaging the “no meta’s in Gotham” except it’s other royals instead. (With the exception of trade and other economic factors)), and other means of keeping their Papa in the dark.

To Bruce, he’s just an average king with an prosperous kingdom.

The kids can’t get themselves to tell their Papa to call off the ball, that they don’t need a partner to get in the way can find someone here in Gotham. Bruce’s eyes light up while looking through outfits for them to wear. His hand gently rests on their cheeks while he coos about how much they’ve grown. They can’t break their Papa’s heart by telling him that!

Yadda-yadda, the ball is in place and Bruce looks ethereal. The kids are extra protective, but they have to keep their distance because Bruce insists they ought to go mingle and meet someone.

So the kids are playing their part from a distance while keeping an eye on the people who talk to their Papa and/ or show a little too much interest from the sidelines.

Bruce is surprised how many people are complimenting (flirting with) him tonight. (Bonus+ he doesn’t take the compliments seriously because he thinks they’re playing an act much like Brucie Wayne. (Bonus++ occasionally a few of the compliments genuinely catch him off guard and a light, gentle blush tints his cheeks.))

The night ends with a hit-list and a list for potential suitors. They’ll have to interrogate those on the suitor list more after they discuss further.

I’m thinking JL x Batman, but I don’t think it has to be exclusive to the JL (or that the JL has to be included at all. I do not know where I’m going with this).

Maybe there could be a side romance with one of the BatKids actually finding someone. Then telling Bruce, who is just overjoyed to hear one of his kids found someone.

Today was a good day.

Bruce cherished these days. Days where it’s not too loud, but it’s not too silent. His kids all getting along in the other room, some engaging with each other, others doing their own thing. Regardless, they are all together and enjoying each other’s company.

He takes this moment of quiet, but not silence, and stores it into his memory. He “rests his eyes” as fathers do while listening to playful banter. Just listening, remembering.

Growing up, Bruce was an only child. He did not have the luxury of having an older or younger sibling to rely on. He never got to experience the late night gaming, the “don’t tell mom’s,” the long serious conversation when he needed someone to listen.

Of course, there were many other children who didn’t have siblings. The difference between him and them was that they had friends. Bruce never really had friends, not close ones at least.

He’d have a best friend for a school year until the next year came and that friend had found someone else. He talked to people at school, engaged in conversations, smiles, laughter, but they weren’t friends. Not really, if anything, they were acquaintances at best.

They never invited him to their lunch tables. They never acknowledged him in the hallways. This never bothered him, he was aware they were friends. His classmates were just people he was on good terms with, he understood the difference.

Bruce’s memory wanders farther into the depths of his mind. All the way back to elementary school. It’s funny how he recalls good memories from this time. Looking back at it, he was getting bullied.

He didn’t notice how the other kids intentionally leave him out of group reading. He didn’t notice how the other kids would look in his direction then giggle before returning to whatever they were doing. He didn’t notice how people were laughing at him and not with him when he’d act out in class.

Maybe it’s because he didn’t notice that he was so fond of those times. He’s much more self aware now. Much more conscious that he’s friendless.

He opens his eyes once he hears one of his kids change the channel. A soft, fond smile forms on his lips. He’s grateful his children get along. That they have someone to lean back on. To be their friend if no one else will.

Bruce takes the remote from Jason’s hand. “I’m still watching that, Jay.”

Jason jumps slightly at the sudden touch before whining. “You were just a sleep a second ago!”

Dick and Tim snicker at the playful banter that follows and Bruce smiles again.

Today is a good day.

"Make your hero a letter" day in school

Or Bruce's personal hell,not because he had to see the beautiful drawings his kids made,no he loves his children thank you very much

It's because,he didn't receive a SINGLE one,he has 6 children and not ONE wrote about Batman,or Bruce.

With Dick was a blow but he was expecting it,he was a giant Superman fan(and still is),of course he would make it about him

Bruce did not ignored Clark for 3 weeks, don't listen to the Kriptonian.

Jason was also expected,he knew his little guy had admiration for Diana,he made it about her

No he wasn't rude for a week, don't listen to the Amazon.

Tim was homeschooled so it wasn't a lost nor a win,Cass his baby Cassandra,also didn't had a chance,but he tells himself(no he's not delusional) that they would've wroted about him

Duke came to him when he was a teen,but he admitted Flash was his favorite so he knows he would've lose

Damian,that was the final blow,he was so sure it was going to be his moment,he even separated his favorite magnet to put it hanging in the fridge to prove to his friends that he was at least one of the children's favorite.

Damian wrote about himself

He wrote about Robin and how cool the Robin was.

Bruce did NOT sulked for 3 days, he's fine he handled the lost like a responsible adult.

That was until at least 4 weeks later,when Kal paid him a visit with Jon

The kids was visibly nervous and excited,and kept giving him sideway glances,so much than when he asked if he had something to tell him Jon blurted out right away

He wrote his letter,about him, Batman.

Batman was Superboys favorite.

He looked at Kal,that was avoiding his gaze pretty badly since they got inside,and grabbed the letter

It was beautiful,just like Bruce wanted,and finalized with a rushed drawing of him and Superboy side by side with smiles on their faces.

He hang it up on the fridge,with the magnet he put aside for Damian, because the drawing needed to be recognized.

A few hours after the hang out,Damian went to the kitchen for snacks, Bruce found him standing in front of the fridge looking intensely at Jon's letter

"Father,why is this hang up on the fridge?"

"oh,Jon gave it to me,it's his hero letter"

"..and why is it in the fridge?"

"I felt like displaying it,is a nice drawing"

"my paintings don't go in the fridge"

"..they go in the corridor wall big guy"

"and why the banana magnet,you don't use the banana magnet for anything"

"it's my favorite,I only use it for important things."

That made Damian look at him,get red faced and storm out of the kitchen muttering about stupid Kent's

The week afterwards was the strangest of Bruce's life, apparently all of his children got informed of Jon's letter in the fridge,and they all were mad about it

He had to stop Cass and Jason from taking it off and ripping it

He had to listen to Dick and Dukes huffs every time they looked at the fridge

And he had to make sure to buy extra magnets, because apparently Tim and Damian were trying traditional drawings and they wanted the drawings on the fridge too,with banana magnets.

And Clark said that Damian hadn't talked to Jon in a few days

He doesn't know what happened,but he's very happy with how full of love his fridge is getting,he's just making sure that Jon's letter doesn't get drowned in all the other drawings

It's a good letter after all.

The batkids are definitely jealous and possessive of their dad,and Bruce is definitely not keeping that drawing on to rub it in Clark's face that it hurts the ego when your best friend gets the drawing not you

He's not that petty, definitely not.

Right. Take two. Not whatever that was.

The idea

"Two months?"

"Two months." J'onn knows his expression is unbearably soft as he looks down into Bruce's eyes. "Then I will return to your side." His love nods, sinking forward to lean on him, a rare display of vulnerability in the suit, but as far as he knows, they are alone. Never usually would J'onn betray his trust so, but he is not the only one who aches at the idea of being apart for so long. He will take this indulgence, and earn his forgiveness upon his return.

Bruce's weight is easy to take, and he wraps his arms around him, over the cape, clutching him close and resting his head over Bruce's, cheek pressed to to the top of the cowl.

"You will return."

"If it costs me my very soul, I will give it away to come back to you."

"Damn right you will."

Despite Bruce's harsh tone, when he pulls back J'onn finds nothing but adoration in the soft lines of his lips. Those lips that he leans in and presses his own to, helpless to do anything else.

Bruce continues to allow J'onn to bear his weight, as they exchange a series of soft, doting pecks, and J'onn takes the opportunity to look behind Bruce.

If looks could kill (and he is more than aware that at is, for some of his coworkers, true) he would be long dead.

Five furious stares watch over them, seething with jealousy at Bruce's trust that is being shown as he allows J'onn to see this vulnerable side of himself.

The fact that they are tsammates now for several years, friends, J'onn may even go so far as to say family, never seems to compete with the possessiveness they all feet to their Bat.

The ugly love for something so beautiful that twists into possession, desire, so consuming it is a wonder Bruce still stands untouched by it, while they tear themselves apart in his name.

J'onn can say that he does not really feel remorse for being the one to earn the return of his attentions. He cannot say for how long it will last, but with certainty his love shall remain a part of him for the rest of his life.

As will his pride.

He knows his coworkers desire Bruce much the same as he does. He also knows that Bruce is his.

He makes eye contact with the group surely wishing a firestorm upon him, and winks, ensuring they know he is aware.

A flex of his fingers at the small of Bruce's back has him press closer, and it is all too easy to catch Bruce's chin in hand, turning their chaste affection into something that will boil blood.

I love you he presses against Bruce's mind, and is swallowed in with words that fuel his soul: I love you too.

Oh. My. Goodness.

Occa, your writing will never fails to leave me awestruck. This is absolutely perfect and I’m so honored you wrote one of my ideas. SpaceBat/ MartianBat content too?! I’m eating so good right now.

Your sentences are beautiful. I love how sweetness dissolves into this almost bitter ending with a sugary aftertaste.

The trust Bruce has in J’onn’s arms, a rare vulnerability the others would kill to have if the circumstances were skewed by less than 1.

I’d like to imagine that Bruce knows they’re there, that not only is he expressing his trust in J’onn, but he’s knowingly doing publically. That’s how much trust he has in him; how confident he is in his and J’onn’s relationship. J’onn feeding off of that, literally and figuratively is truly masterful writing.

Perhaps Bruce is oblivious to the fact the JL is behind him though. This scared vulnerability, which is meant to be a private moment between him and his love, tainted by intrusive, jealous eyes. Bruce not aware of stain on their intimate moment, J’onn taking advantage of his obliviousness in favor of staking his claim.

Or it could be something else entirely. You’re the wordsmith, Occa. Which ever direction this piece was intended to be interpreted, the ending alone could feed a whole thanksgiving for me. I cannot express enough how much I adore your words.

I never even considered the possibility of slightly toxic Martian Manhunter. Occa, you’re a genius. I love you. Never stop writing. (((o(*ﾟ▽ﾟ*)o)))♡

i think its extra cool that you include stuff like ''fanon characterisation'' ''ooc'' as tags for your writing makes it much easier to just relax and enjoy it and not overthink (for me) and i think it would be really neat if more people started using them too will for sure start using those myself too when I post writtign in future bonus question! What batman comics are your favourite canon takes on character ?

I’m so glad they help! I’m a big stuck up for being comic accurate, which is ironic because I post and read Fanon content.

The “content warning” I put is to help people who are getting into comics not get confused as to why information they’re reading from me is different than information they’re reading from others.

It is also to keep me sane and not have to fact check every little detail I put knowing it is just for enjoyment purposes.

I, too, want people to know what they’re reading before getting into it. Sometimes people only want to engage with canon characterization content. I completely get that, don’t saves them some time and frustration (I hope)!

Absolutely start using them when you get to making posts as well! I sometimes have trouble differentiating between fun posts and serious posts, so feel free to use them as you please!

As for my favorite Batman comics, my top three (in no particular order) so far include:

1.) Batman: Ego by Darwin Cook. This comic is about early Bruce still figuring out who Batman is. Where the line between Bruce Wayne and Batman is drawn. I recommend it for people who are interested in the psych of Batman! 10/10 comic.

2.) Batman: Dark Patterns by Dan Watters. This comic shows exactly why Batman is the world’s greatest detective. It follows about 4 (if I remember correctly) seeming unrelated cases and it’s such a brilliantly written detective comic. If you want to read more of the mystery/ detective side of Batman this is 10/10

3.) Batman: Year One by Frank Miller. This is the comic you’ll see every single Batman fan, or Batman comic reader in general recommend as your first ever Batman comic. It is what many people consider the origin story of Batman. Frank Miller is a fantastic writer, I may be a bit bias for this pick because it was on of the first ever Batman Comics I read. 10/10, everyone should read it at least once.

HM: Batman: Under The Red Hood by Judd Winick. This is possibly one of the best comics I’ve ever read. If you’re a Jason Todd fan then you’ve likely read or at least heard of this one before. What I specifically like about this one in relation to Batman, is how it encapsulates Bruce’s no kill rule strengths and flaws all in one. It explains that not killing is more than just a rule, but a fear. Easily a top 5 comic. Even more so, with how poorly written Jason Todd is in many modern runs, it’s just MWAH. It’s fantastic. Maybe I’m glazing it a bit, but definitely worth a read.

I know none of these comics are “niche” per se, but I don’t believe they are any less important or spectacular. My rankings are very inconsistent, they change often when I read new material or simply remember material I had forgotten. As of recently, Batman: Ego has been one of my favorite reads.

A few of my favorite canon takes is that Bruce’s no kill rule (which I know I’ve mentioned a lot, but I find so critically essential to this character) is rooted

A few canon facts/ takes I really enjoy are:

1.) He gives Commissioner Gordon a box of Tobacco every Christmas (at least pre-crisis, I’m not sure if he still does it).

2.) Batman is afraid of Bats. Apparently a good amount of people don’t know this, which surprises me because it is a big part of his origin.

3.) Batman is a good actor and singer, he canonically played the lead in Guys and Dolls in high school. I believe he won an award for it too, I don’t completely remember if he did or not, so take that second part with a grain of salt.

4.) I don’t completely understand what you mean by “takes,” but I remember seeing an interview and a guy was talking about how Batman’s no kill rule is because he mentally cannot handle it. That the trauma of seeing his parents death lead him to not being able to do so. I agree a bit with this take, especially since it’s somewhat supported in the comics Detective Comics #439 (1974), I believe? When Bruce brings a fully loaded gun into the manor to see if he’s gotten over his fear, but ends up breaking down in front of his parents portrait instead.

I may have gotten the issue numbers slightly off, but this was such a fun prompt! My first ask as well, thank you so much! ╰(*´︶`*)╯♡

That's why neither of them will ever fully understand each other.

Jason is not Bruce's Jason. And Bruce is no Jason's Bruce. They've both changed and both are unwilling to come to terms with that.

It is equally his biggest strength just as much as it is his biggest flaw.

Jason Todd — his greatest failure — is the greatest example of how and why his number one rule is a flaw.

I do not understand video-essay channels sometimes.

Do not misunderstand me, I love video-essay content. Lore videos are my go-to, in fact. However, I sometimes question where people get their information from.

I mean this in, I was watching a video about a guy saying that Tony Stark (MCU) didn’t have Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) because the reason Tony Stark is narcissistic is because of his childhood trauma.

I was like ???

No shit? That’s how many personality disorders are formed. (Not all personality disorders are like this. Often times it is a combination between Nature and Nurture!!!)

My psych final was on NPD in Iron Man. I’m relatively educated on how NPD is portrayed in him as a character. Though, I am not a professional psychologist by any means. I don’t know every detail about this disorder, but I do know enough to say he definitely has it.

I just wanted to rant about this because I feel often that characters are excused for having mental disorders because they had childhood trauma.

I so often hear the argument “[Character] is only like this because [traumatic event] happened, so they don’t have [disorder the character most definitely (or likely) has]”

Tony Stark has NPD. They even say this at the end of Iron Man 2 post-credit scene.

One of my favorite parts of the MCU was watching Tony Stark learn to cope with that disorder. Watching how he changes from Iron Man to Iron Man 3 alone shows an incredible about of growth.

There is no FDA approved treatment for NPD, so it was really cool seeing how the Marvel decided to show growth in Tony’s character.

CW: Fanon characterization + OOC + BatKids referring to Bruce as “Baba,” “Papa,” and “Pops”+ Familial yandere themes

Damian didn’t have a crush on his father, but he hated how many people did.

He hated how shameless people were. How easily their eyes wander, how effortlessly their thoughts wandered farther.

Every time his Baba would drop him off at school he’d see their eyes lingers. The students; the staff, he cursed his small size, not being big enough to shield their lustful gazes from his father.

It didn’t stop at the staff, or the school, it felt like it was everyone at times. Every Gala, every charity ever, every public attraction. Even in his Baba’s hero work his Baba has lustful eyes on him. Lustful eyes Damian very much did not approve of.

Baba says he’s being silly. That he’s imagining things and looks that aren’t really there. Damian’s not fooled as easily as his Baba. After all, learning to read people was required in the League. He can read clearly that his Baba is only saying this because he doesn’t think he’s desirable enough for even one man’s gaze.

That irates him even more. His father is the prettiest man he’s ever met. Damian knows this as certain. His mother wouldn’t settle for anything less than perfection. Whoever put this ill idea into his Baba’s mind will be thoroughly punished once found.

This cycle of frustration confuses Damian. He’s repulsed by the idea of his Baba taking interest in one of these lecherous gazes. None of their filthy minds are worthy to even consider courting his father. However, his Baba not being able to see what’s in front of him frustrates him more. His Baba is pretty. Too lenient for how pretty he is. He needs guards for his heart. Too easily swayed by simple Acts of Services.

Damian decides to confront his siblings about the matter. They must have some knowledge of protecting Baba from libidinous men (and women).

Damian strides into the living room on a day Baba is out. He is fighting an out-of-world threat that requires all of the Justice League. Damian is typically against these missions, even the Justice League doesn’t know when to keep their hands to themselves (especially the kryptonian). However, Damian uses his Baba’s absence as an opportunity; it happens to be one of those rare days where multiple siblings of his are present.

Damian stands in front of the Tv, “I require everyone’s attention.”

Lazy eyes follow attentive ones until all the attention is on him.

Tim turns off the Tv, giving Damian his full attention, “Yes, Damian?”

Damian pauses for a moment before opening his mouth to speak until Jason until him off.

“Yoo-hoo? You have our attention? Ya’ gonna ask your question or not?” Jason asks impatiently, his attention split between his phone and the conversation.

Damian glares at him, “I’m getting there, Todd.” He looks around again, making sure all eyes were on him before posing his question: “How do you get people to stop looking at Father?”

The atmosphere in the room shifts. The brothers attention locks onto the question, immediately followed by darker eyes and tones. Possessive ones, almost. Suggesting they, too, are not found of people trying to take away their father.

Dick sits up from his lounging position “I used to be really obnoxious about it, making sure to hold his hand and call him “Papa” as much as I could in public. Once people realized he had a kid, they’d lose interest. That didn’t work for everyone though. When it didn’t, I’d hug Papa’s arm and fake cry.”

His tone suggests he’s being honest, but leaving something out. Damian’s eyes narrow.

Jason, also sits up, turning his phone off. “I’d keep him home as much as possible. Constantly busying him with somethin’ that needed to be done at home. I would pretend I was scared of going outside alone, making sure Pops was always by my side.”

Much like Dick’s, he’s being honest but he’s hiding something. Damian is not fond of the lack of a full answer.

Tim doesn’t bother beating around the bush, “Disposing of them effectively.”

The three turn to Tim with varying responses.

Dick’s eyes widen a bit, more suprised Tim has the guts to admit it than the admissions contents themselves.

Jason raises a brow of amusement and holds back a grin.

Damian’s head turns to look directly at Tim, his interest has been piqued.

Damian questions further, “Elaborate, Drake.”

Jason snickers, “Exposing the family secret so young, Timmy?”

Tim rolls his eyes, returning his attention to Damian, “We’d dispose of them. The ones who get too friendly.”

Dick adds on, “Not everyone can be handled that way, Dami. Only the ones who really get on our nerves… more than usual.”

“Anyone who father shows any signs of reciprocating feelings for,” Jason clarifies.

Damian pauses for a moment, “I see… and how do you all execute this method?”

Naturally, Damian’s interest and support of this method are in favor. This is necessary. His Baba needs to be protected, and Damian will do anything to ensure that. This was a solution he very much supports.

“First you find a target threat, then you report back to the group.”

“We work fast, before Pops even notices the feelings bloomin’, so you better be watching for any and every possible sign,” Jason adds.

Damian nods, “I understand… and then, Drake?”

“Then we find an area he won’t be remembered.”

“An alley way or incinerator works best!” Dick chimes.

“Understood.”

Jason grins, “We’ll fill you in on the specifics when we get there, Bat-Brat.”

Dick hugs Damian tightly, “Awww! Our Baby-Dami is growing up now!”

Damian’s cheeks faintly flush with humiliation, “Put me down, Grayson! I have only come to seek guidance on protecting Baba, not for your physical affections!”

Soon enough, Damian has become quite accustomed to this effective method. It isn’t nearly as efficient as he’d please, but it puts him at ease knowing he can do something about the particular pesky bugs suitors.

The only rule is to not let Baba know. Which is not an issue, as long as their Baba views them as angels, they’ll make sure all the dirty work is handled behind the scenes.

Baba will never have to worry about an unworthy companion. They’ll take care of him. They’ll protect him. They’ll never leave him. Their Baba’s image will be perfect. Their Baba is perfect, and if their Baba ever needs someone?

They’ll always be there. Not some random insect who thinks they can suddenly come into their family, because they don’t know the pain, the love, the grief, the trust, everything that it’s taken to get their Baba thriving how he is now. They’ll never know. They won’t let them.

Damian won’t let anyone take their Father, their Papa, his Baba away from them. He’ll make sure of it by any means possible.

Ship Warning! - JLA x Batman

I am a big fan of those fics or posts about the main 7 (6 in this case) pinning and swooning over Batman.

Especially when Batman is involved, or had previously been involved, with one of the JL members, and said JL member brags about it.

Batman and another member kissing, it’s cute, it’s romantic, and it’s dangerous. While Batman’s eye’s are closed, 6 eyes are open, glaring at the lucky one. I lent death threats being exchanged within seconds.

Depending on who it is, the luck-favored member either feels a cold sweat down their back, or my favorite, extremely smug about it. Maybe they’ll flex their hand around Batman’s waist to show off, or perhaps they’ll give them a cocky wink before using their tongue. It makes the other JL member’s blood boil.

——— Side plot: This could absolutely work if it were someone outside of the JL as well, the JL being jealous of what they can’t have.

Bruce Wayne is autistic, yet nobody except Damian could vouch for him. Growing up amongst aristocrats, being an aristocrat, Bruce had been forced into a mask since his first words.

He is more than grateful society has changed from when he was younger. That neurodivergence was no longer looked at as a mental defect. He is more than happy his son was getting the recourses he needed, even if they weren’t available for him.

Bruce had been formally diagnosed with Autism at a young age. His parents never loved him any less for it, but it was clear they didn’t understand it.

They’d push his leg down whenever it started bouncing. They’d make the extra effort to buy safe material clothing, but they wouldn’t do so without making sure Bruce know’s how spoiled he is for needing special fabrics. That one day he’ll be a big boy and “grow out of this texture sensitivity fad.” They’d make sure to tell him exactly how to not embarrass them while they are in public.

Whether they were being playful or genuinely irritated by the fact Bruce’s mind wasn’t “normal,” Bruce couldn’t tell. It frustrated him that he couldn’t differentiate between these things. After his parents passing, he locked himself in his room until he was for sure he could “act right.”

He’s not angry, or sad, or remotely upset his son is getting the accommodations he needs. Perhaps he’s a bit envious, but he’d never say that out loud. He’d never admit out loud that he, too, needs accommodations. Something about his parent’s words, even when he knows they weren’t right, stuck with him. He can’t get himself to ask for help. He can’t get himself to take off this mask he’s created no matter how much he wants to.

Bruce sits on his bed. His room is particularly organized and clean except for his desk. His desk is cluttered with WE reports and Batman cases mixed up. It stresses him out every time he glances at it, but he can’t find the energy to organize it how it should be.

He wants to cry; to scream; to pull all his hair out and buy new sheets. He doesn’t give into his bad thoughts. He can’t give into those bad thoughts.

Ace sits next to him on the ground. Bruce is forever grateful he chose to take the dog in. He hadn’t known it at the time, but Ace was a service dog. Ace has saved him more times than any 5-1 technique.

His kids weren’t aware Ace was a service dog. They don’t need to be. Bruce feels a pang of guilt for not sharing this resource with Damian. He can’t help but feel selfish of the dog. Ace was the only one who accepted him for being different.

Titus is currently under service dog training. Bruce would never keep a resource from his children. Especially one that Damian very much needs. Ace is his, however, he can’t… he’s not ready to give him up yet.

He won’t give him up. Not yet. He will one day, he knows he will. He knows he’s being selfish keeping him to himself, but… just a little longer. Just wait a little more, and he promises, he’ll give that part of him away too.

This may be a little difficult to read, I apologize for that. I am getting used to the posting thing, but I needed to add on to it with service dog Ace and Bruce feeling selfish and guilty for “taking resources” from his son (even when his son has said resource). He deserves a hug. ｡ﾟ(ﾟ´Д｀ﾟ)ﾟ｡

Batman has the prettiest hands. It’s a shame they’re covered up by his gloves. Growing up in high society where appearances matter more than character, not a single area can be neglected. Especially not hand care.

He was more than aware his hands were pretty; however, he’s obvious to just how desirable they are.

His kids aren’t subtle about letting him know either.

Dick likes to dramatically flop onto the couch after a long patrol, conveniently lying his head on his Mama’s lap. Bruce’s fingers massage his scalp, his finger nails are that perfect length to scratch but not hurt. Sometimes they’ll sit in silence until Dick falls asleep, other times Dick will rant until he decides he’s ready to get up.

Jason and Bruce share lotion — Correction: Jason steals Bruce’s lotion. Jason’s hands are calloused and rough from handling metal weapons and leather gloves. It’s a Norwegian brand Jason can’t find no matter how hard he scours. No matter, his Mama likely hasn’t noticed since he’s never said anything about it to him. (Bruce has absolutely noticed, but if it means his baby boy coming home more often he can pretend he hasn’t).

Tim copies Bruce’s routine to a T. He’s going to inherit WE someday, he must look the part as well. Or at least that’s what he tells himself. Bruce, Tim, and Damian all do their nighttime routines together. It’s more of an excuse to hang out with his Mama than an appearance thing, but don’t tell Dick or Jason!

Steph has loved doing her nails since she was a little girl. Every birthday at least one of her presents would be nail polish, whether it be a character themed set or little decal stickers. She loved them. Bruce introduced her to the genius invention of gel nail polish. She was obsessed the second Bruce applied some onto her nails. It has become a tradition every weekend since to paint each other’s nails. (Bonus: Steph likes to blindfold Bruce while she picks out a color for him)

Damian has his own method of keeping his hands pristine. Though, he does let his Mother cut his fingernails and cuticles. He can do it just fine in his own… but his Mama does it better. It’s like eating apple slices versus a whole apple. Damian likes to take pictures and send them to the family group chat once they’re finished (mainly to flex on Dick and Jason for not being there).

The Batkids love their Mama’s hands, and they love knowing they’re exclusive to them… mostly. With the exception of handshakes at Gala’s, their Mama’s bare hands are reserved for them… and they’ll make sure it stays that way.

Hello! This is my first time posting so I thought I should make a brief introduction.

🕸 I am big fan of Marvel and DC comics and movies. While I am more well read in Marvel, I have read a fare share of DC — more specifically, Gotham-Centric (Batman, Nightwing, Red Hood, etc.).

🕸 I have been reading comics since middle school, though I didn’t really start getting into-into them until high-school. I was reading more manga than comic’s at that time.

🕸 On this account, I plan on posting mainly Batman and BatFam content. That may change as time goes on, who knows?

🕸 I will admit, I am highly hypocritical. I love the canon, and I care deeply about mischaracterization of characters (partly because analyzing and annotating is very enjoyable to me), and nothing makes me more upset than mischaracterization when talking about comic books.

🕸 HOWEVER, I feel the canon and fanon are two very different things. Thankfully…. The posts I make may be heavily mischaracterized, and contradict everything I had just said in that previous paragraph.

🕸 I am fairly conscious when writing projections and self-inserted traits; I will do my best to inform you all about mischaracterizations before hand.
