It was late at night under a moonless sky. Within the war-torn ruins of Paladimee, the elites of the Darkened Regime moved like shadows amid blood-soaked rubble. Darksoldiers and darkpolice somberly loaded the fallen into corpse transport vehicles, their steel boots clinking against cracked stone. Among them, Darkwis walked silently, scribbling notes into his logbook. The top of his page read: "Primary Threats - Sunbeam, Sunbrass, Sunsword."

The analyst documented the full damage done by the Solar Regime's earlier counterattack, tallying infrastructure loss, personnel casualties, financial deficits, and weapon resupply costs. As he finished, a transport vehicle pulled beside him. Inside waited fellow elites Darkk, Darkhand, Darkfrost, and the driver, Darkbond.

"Let’s move," Darkwis said flatly as he entered the vehicle.

Their convoy rumbled through the broken streets toward the Occupied Palace of Dalmirrus. There, within the throne chamber bathed in dim crimson light, Lord Darkwing sat like a conquering tyrant, his armored figure reclining on the throne. Upon the elites' arrival, the darksoldiers in formation snapped to attention, saluting their supreme leader.

Darkwis stepped forward to report.

"Lord Darkwing, I have completed damage assessments and cost projections—"

"Spare me the expenses," Darkwing interrupted, a grin splitting across his face. "What’s the next move against the Solar Regime?"

"A surprise offensive," Darkwis replied. "I propose a full-scale invasion targeting three strategic islands under their control: Sollbac, Orginado, and Brightsol. At this hour, their defenses will be at their weakest."

Darkwing rose from his throne, demonic war axe in hand, and led his entourage outside to address the largest congregation of the Darkened Regime seen since the fall of Paladimee.

Standing before the masses, he raised his blade and bellowed, "WARRIORS! THE SOLAR REGIME WILL FALL! Today we hold Paladimee. Tomorrow, we shall own their islands! I WANT SUNBEAM MOONLIGHT DEAD!"

The crowd erupted in unified chants, their weapons raised high in the night.

Hours later, in the ruined city hall turned command post, Darkwing convened with his commanders.

"Each of you will lead a battalion," Darkwing declared. "Darkenedstream, Darkenedpuff, Darkenedstride, Darkenedstorm, and Darkenedye—you'll each oversee a wave of invasion. By air and sea, we strike Sollbac, Orginado, and Brightsol."

"Why not attack Solarpolisca directly?" Commander Darkenedye asked.

"Too fortified. We weaken their outer holdings first."

The others nodded. Strategy dictated patience.

Suddenly, Chancellor-Chief Darkhitler entered.

"Lord Darkwing, we discovered unclaimed territory northeast of Echumeta."

"Take it. No resistance is to be spared," Darkwing commanded.

Outside, the elites gathered: Darkverse, Darkpsychiatrist, Darkk, Darkness, Darkhand, Darkfrost, and others.

"You’re coming with me," Darkwing ordered.

They entered military transports and sped to the Darkened Regime's shipyards, where battalions trained under floodlights.

Before them, Darkwing assigned roles:

01 Alpha-Battalion: Commander Darkenedstream, with Darkpurge, Darkhand, and Darkcackle.

02 Bravado-Battalion: Commander Darkenedpuff, with Darkk, Darkbolster, and Darkness.

03 Charlie-Battalion: Commander Darkenedstride, with Darkfaint, Darkfate, and Darkperish.

04 Delta-Battalion: Commander Darkenedstorm, with Darkcard, Darkspade, and Darkgrief.

05 Envoy-Battalion: Also under Darkenedstorm, with Darkgoth, Darksuperior, and Darkjack.

As the dark warships, helicopters, and transports set sail and soared into the skies, the invasion began.

At sea, inside an airborne operations carrier, commanders discussed their targets.

"Orginado Island is mine," said Commander Darkenedstorm.

"Then I’ll assist," Darkenedstride replied.

"Brightsol is mine," Darkenedpuff added. "Leave the crops and civilians to me."

"And I shall raze Sollbac," Darkenedstream confirmed.

Meanwhile, in Solar Regime waters, coastal guard leader Sunlead noticed strange sonar activity.

"Unidentified fleet inbound! Red alert!" he shouted.

As Darkened warships approached, cannon fire erupted. Brightsol’s coast lit up with explosions.

"Engage them now!" Darkness ordered.

02 Bravado-Battalion opened fire, shredding patrol boats with missiles and artillery. Darkened commanders launched aerial raids as more battalions landed on the islands.

Darkenedstream landed at Sollbac. "Advance. Eliminate resistance," he commanded.

On Orginado, Darkenedstride and Darkenedstorm pushed through jungles. On Brightsol, crops burned. Civilians fled. Darkness, Darkk, and Darkbolster spread terror in their wake.

Sunlead, donning a mecha exosuit, dove into the sea as his ship exploded under enemy fire.

Back at the Darkened palace, Darkwing was informed by Darkwis of the successful landings. Darkhitler reported new territorial acquisitions. The regime’s power swelled.

On the islands, towns fell, militia were overrun, and the people suffered.

At Solarpolisca, inside the S.O.L.A.R. Command, distress signals flashed. Commander Solarstorm read the reports.

"They’ve declared war."

"We must consult General Sunbeam," Solarstream added.

"But the enemy's already near Oranjukai and Solltonna," said a sunsoldier.

Solarstride issued urgent orders. Meanwhile, Commanders Solardye and Solarpuff rushed to SUNTRE HQ.

"Sunwis, is General Sunbeam awake?" Solarpuff asked.

"Not yet. But the invasion is real. Monitor Oranjukai," Sunwise advised.

Solardye and Solarpuff departed, coordinating with bases as radar confirmed enemy presence.

The First Battle of the Modern Era had begun.

Chapter 2: Battle for Survival

In the aftermath of the shocking assassination of Emperor Puubuut Bazamaar of Echumeta, General Sunbeam and his Solar comrades, Sunbrass and Sunsword, were caught in the tide of chaos surging through Paladimee City. A dark presence had overtaken the city—a terrorist force later confirmed to be the Darkened Regime, led by the brutal and malevolent Darkwing Shadowsypher. Reborn from the shadows of vengeance, Darkwing now sought dominion over Titanumas by force.

As explosions rocked the city, the Solar trio fled through ruined streets, seeking sanctuary at a local cathedral where civilians had bravely taken up temporary protection duties. But hope was short-lived. A blast from a demonic-caliber sniper—the work of Darknon, one of Darkwing’s deadliest elites—obliterated the church. From the smoldering wreckage stepped Darkwing himself, cloaked in heavy maroon armor and wielding both a massive two-bladed battle axe and a demonic machine gun. Though young in appearance, he exuded a cruel and seasoned hatred.

Sunbrass and Sunsword faced him first, valiantly stalling the enemy leader.

"Sunbeam, go now! Get to safety!" Sunbrass urged, holding firm behind a solar shield projector.

Sunsword nodded in agreement. "Leave him to us, General. We'll buy you time."

Reluctantly, Sunbeam fled. Behind him, the fierce clash began. Darkwing shattered the shield, forcing Sunbrass to fall back. Sunsword charged, launching a barrage of strikes, but Darkwing parried with ease. When he fired his machine gun, Sunbrass retaliated with a precision shot, disarming him momentarily. Sunsword seized the opportunity for a dual-blade cross strike, but Darkwing recovered swiftly, swatting him away with monstrous strength.

A firefight ensued. Darkwing's wrath exploded as he realized Sunbeam had escaped, unleashing chaotic energy blasts upon nearby buildings. Civilians ran in terror.

Sunbrass and Sunsword attempted to block his path, only to be faced with reinforcements: Darkblade and Darkslasher. The street became a crucible of clashing steel as the two Solar elites engaged Darkwing's underlings.

Meanwhile, Sunbeam navigated alleyways and burning streets, avoiding darksoldiers. He paused in hiding, calling quietly to himself, "Sunwis, I need your help."

At SUNTRE Headquarters, Sunwis picked up Sunbeam's biometric signals. Realizing the danger, he turned to SunM and Sunwise. "Sunbeam, Sunbrass, and Sunsword are in deep trouble."

SunM responded immediately. "Deploy Sunbond, Suntter, and Sunritz with stealth units. Get them out."

As the Solar agents launched from cloaked helicopters, Sunbrass and Sunsword battled ferociously. They downed dozens of foes before collapsing a building to slow Darkblade and Darkslasher. Spotting their incoming evac squad, they made a desperate dash toward the junkyard.

Sunbeam, nearing a safehouse, was moments from boarding an invisible helicopter when a dark blast from Darkwing's ax revealed and destroyed it. The safehouse followed in flames.

Darkwing bellowed, "FOUND YOU, SUNBEAM! TIME FOR YOU TO DIE!"

Sunbeam drew his solar blade, meeting Darkwing's charge. Their weapons clashed with earth-shaking force. With calm resolve, Sunbeam invoked his technique: "Solar... flash!"

A blinding burst of light disoriented Darkwing. Screaming in rage and pain, he staggered. Sunbeam delivered a punishing combo, then fled.

At the junkyard, Sunbond and his team were already engaged. Explosives, precision strikes, and suppression fire gave them the upper hand. Sunbeam soon arrived, obliterating enemy reinforcements with light-based strikes.

"He took them all out by himself," Sunsword marveled.

"Sunbeam rarely resorts to violence, but when he does..." Sunbrass trailed off, nodding.

They regrouped aboard the primary stealth chopper. As they lifted into the sky, Darkwing, from the highway below, fired everything he had—bullets, cursed energy, and hatred. Sunbeam deflected it all, protecting his comrades.

Darknon, perched on a rooftop, sniped at the chopper. Sunbeam blocked her shots, while the rest of the team returned fire. Still, flak cannons from the city below brought down several allied aircraft.

"Damn, we’re the last one left!" Sunritz cried.

"Brace yourselves!" Suntter warned as a final, massive beam from Darkwing ascended.

Sunbeam answered with his own Solar Beam. The two energies collided in a blinding clash before Sunbeam cut through with a flash of reflected sunlight, blinding their pursuers.

They escaped.

Back at SUNTRE HQ, a grim debrief followed. Reports confirmed over 5.6 million casualties in Paladimee. The Darkened Regime had seized the entire state of Echumeta.

Sunbeam listened solemnly.

"He was your friend once," SunM acknowledged.

"No longer," Sunbeam replied quietly.

Sunwis and Sunwise outlined the threat: Darkwing had declared war on all allies of Titanumas, with Sunbeam as his primary target. Recon teams had failed. The enemy's next move was uncertain, but invasion seemed inevitable.

The team dispersed. That night, Sunbeam left in quiet reflection. Sunbrass and Sunsword joined loved ones at a bar, grateful for survival.

In the flourishing state of Oranjukai, nestled along the southern border with Lunar Regime territory, the population had swelled to an astonishing seventy-nine trillion—and it continued to grow. Citizens thrived in peace, living fulfilled lives under the Solar Regime’s guidance. Some served proudly in the military forces, while others dedicated themselves to daily vocations, art, or community enrichment. Beaches across the coastline were alive with energy, laughter, and sunlit gatherings.

Within the private residence of General Sunbeam, the leader rested peacefully after an emotionally enriching day spent with his cherished companion, Lady Moonbeam. Their connection—a union of hearts and regimes—symbolized more than romance; it embodied the alliance between solar light and lunar wisdom.

As General Sunbeam drifted into slumber, the quiet of his quarters gave way to visions. Within his dream, he stood tall upon a grand platform, celebrated by his people in a parade of honor. Flags bearing the Solar insignia fluttered in the wind, and cheers echoed through the streets. Adorned in his full ceremonial attire, Sunbeam’s presence radiated pride, resilience, and hope.

🩺 Surgery Update from Sunbeam007 | General Sunbeam 🎨

Yesterday, I underwent surgery for the removal of a pilonidal sinus cyst, and I’m relieved to report that the operation went smoothly. Honestly, it felt like one of those “2-second time-skip cutscenes” from an RPG game—blink, and it was done. Minimal sensation. Minimal awareness. But definitely not minimal impact.

💡 Reality Check: As expected, the cost is expensive—a reminder that healthcare in our current society remains a heavy burden for many of us who aren’t sitting on 6-figure salaries or sponsored benefits. Recovery is underway, and I’m surrounded by my family, which I’m grateful for.

Despite the surreal nature of the procedure, I haven’t had much time to return to what truly brings me joy—writing immersive stories and working toward my long-term dream of becoming an animator. These passions remain on hold, temporarily, while I prioritize healing and managing the financial aftermath.

At the heart of Sollarisca, in the war-forged capital of Solarius Delta, the golden towers had once shimmered like morning fire. Now, what remained was a blackened ruin—a cratered skeleton of brilliance turned to ash. The once-bustling solar metropolis had been reduced to silence, its infrastructure burned to molten slag, and its people vaporized in a heat not of the sun—but of the enemy's hand.

That enemy had a name.

ISIS: International Striking Individual Sweeping Satellite Cannon.

It became the most spoken phrase across the regime. Citizens wept in stunned disbelief as Solar News anchors repeated it like a dirge:

"This just in: the enemy has unveiled a satellite-class orbital strike weapon of unprecedented devastation, officially named the International Striking Individual Sweeping Satellite Cannon, or ISIS for short."

Inside the Solar Grand Citadel, General Sunbeam stood in grim silence, flanked by Supreme Commanders Solardye, Solardale, and Solarstream. The council chamber had become a fortress of tension. Sunbeam's bright orange cloak trailed behind him like a banner of vengeance, his radiant orange eyes glinting with controlled fury.

"The ISIS Satellite Cannon—launched covertly into orbit by the Blackened Regime—emitted a full-spectrum orbital beam enhanced with poisons, viral vectors, corrosive payloads, and EMP pulses. It vaporized our grid. It fried our skies. It destroyed our shield matrix."

"They're calling it a divine weapon. A god-killer," Solardye added gravely.

Sunbeam's fist slammed the golden table, cracking it.

"Then we will eclipse their false divinity. I want retaliation. Immediate. Total."

Solardale, ever the tactician, gestured toward the tactical map.

"Blackwing’s forces are fortified around Khihmouth, Zubets, and Raaisel. If we hit those command nodes, we might disrupt control of the ISIS system."
