If I had a nickel for every time Zatanna's love interest was turned into a rabbit...
...I'd have two nickels.
(Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.)

so we know what the heroes thought about the live action movies but what do you think about the animation side of thing(movies or series) any comments, I lowkey wanna know what they thought of that young justice show(very fun though in my experience suffer due to moving too fast especially season 3)
Obvious statement is obvious, it is easier to more fully and truthfully depict events from the lives of real life superheroes in animation than it is in live action. Which SOUNDS ridiculous on the face of it until you think about the kind of scales and the kind of adventures that superheroes play around in. While the adventures of adventurers like the Justice League or the Teen Titans are as real as you or I, it's beyond the reach of damn near any production company on Earth to produce cost effective ways to show the things superheroes do on screens with live actors.
Gorilla Grodd may be a real criminal but the best method most production companies have of putting him on TV screens is some CGI monstrosity that takes 400 man hours to model and rig and costs a 5th of the budget for an episode just by being on screen. Concepts like the usage of a Green Lantern ring might tax even the most optimistic hollywood budget but can really come alive in animation. A SET for Apokolips would push any backstage crew to the limit but be just as easy for an artist to draw as an apartment loft (if not easier because the common audience has less from a reference to stretch suspension of disbelief in small details)
And Young Justice especially, RUNS with this principle.
(The poster for the Young Justice cartoon's first season)
Now, let's be clear. From the historian's perspective the chronology of this show is FUCKED around the billy blue bend. It's version of Young Justice (only ever called "The Team" in this show for reason I cannot possible fathom) is made up of the 1st Robin, the 1st Kid Flash, Superboy, Miss Martian, the 2nd Aqualad and "Artemis" a Green Arrow protege bizarrely based on real life supervillain Artemis Crock AKA Tigress. Them being assembled as the FIRST group of teenage superheroes well after the establishment of both the Hall of Justice and the satellite Watchtower (which is a secret in the show's universe...somehow). And its mixing of every spice in the kitchen doesn't "improve" as it goes on.
it seems to put events in order inside the show's universe by shuffling a deck of cards and then randomly turning them over on the table. Superboy debuting years before Supergirl. His longstanding in show relationship with Miss Martian. The death of the 1st Kid Flash before he even BECOMES the 3rd Flash. The relationship between Miss Martian and Beast Boy when, in real life, Garfield Logan is much OLDER and has been active LONGER than Miss Martian and the list goes on and on and on. However, for most viewers, historians and real life superheroes alike, that's the BENEFIT.
Most Titans members who were able to comment on it said that the show being so obviously fabricated allowed them to appreciate its deeper messages. While Beast Boy is on record as a big fan of the Cartoon Network Teen Titans animated series, because of how faithfully it captured the spirit of the age when he and his fellows originally joined the team's most famous incarnation he gave the show two thumbs up for just being good, action focused content that wasn't afraid to show the world outside of JUST the team themselves.
When asked, the second Speedy (who is pretty obviously the woman "Artemis" is actually based on) said that she did see a lot of herself in the character. And that being disconnected from the character through the obvious factual differences made it easier for her to appreciate the series as a work of fiction rather than a documentary "sexed up" for TV. She did say she wasn't the kind to wear an open midriff on a costume where she is consistently being shot at though.
Superboy said something about Miss Martian being "a babe" being lovely cuffed upside the head by Supergirl standing directly off camera. Before admitting that he WISHES his edgy phase had been as cool and emotionally deep as Nolan North made it all sound.
Most heroes asked seem to take it as a fun ride that wrapped a well written and intense story around a real world setting, rather than twisting that story to fit the actual order of events. From a media critic's chair it's hard not to see every way it made the series more dramatic, more satisfying, more captivating.
Even if a historical inconsistency drinking game with the series is the best way to "accidentally" kill any superhero historians you know.
Noncanon Canon Queer DC characters
Let’s talk about them
It’s the last day of Pride Month and I’ve spent everyday talking about a different Queer characters, where I provided info and lore about the character and what comics they are currently in or even what events they might be apart of
But I thought on the last day it would be fun to talk about all the different DC characters that are kinda sort implied queer or are only queer in different worlds like the Arrowverse or Young Justice so on
Just cause. It’s actually a pretty weirdly long list. I honestly never realized just how many character are only Queer in these shows
this might not be everyone, but it's at least a good amount, I will also be noting the specific ones I wish were queer in canon runs
Let's get to it
Jackson Hyde
While yes he is queer in canon dc, in Young Justice (Earth-16) he is Bi and Poly, which is just an interesting change so I thought I would not it
Captain Cold
Is Pansexual in the Arrowverse CW show The Flash and specifically stated as Gay and with the Ray in Earth-10 within the Arrowverse. I would be fine with him being Pan, and I'm gonna be so real with y'all I love Captain Cold he's gotta be one of my favorite villains and him and the Rogues are so much fun
Mr. Terrific
Is gay in the Arrowverse, and if I'm being real I don't know how well I think this would work if it was at all canon, but in the Arrowverse then sure since I know he had basically very different lore in the show
White Canary
Is bisexual in the arrowverse in both the show the Arrow and DC Legends of Tomorrow and honestly I do not know about her outside of this world to say my feelings about it
I will also say there are insteresting choices they made with her in this world
Bart Allen
Impulse is described as Achillean in Young Justice which I actually find like an interesting choice, that made more sense then anything else. Plus I do feel as though you don't here enough about achillean all that much)
El Dorado
He is also described as Achillean in Young Justice, where much like Bart its canon but never outright said, but you can see him and Bart go on dates
I kinda like his design in the Young Jutice show, but I don't know a lot about him in general so I'm not sure if its weird considering this lore or anything but the outfit kinda fucks ngl
Halo
is nonbinary and queer in Young Justice
The character is redesigned and the storyline changed. Halo is now the reanimated body of Gabrielle Daoa, a Quraci refugee who had been kidnapped and used for metahuman trafficking.
Lagoon Boy
Bi and Poly in Young Justice. much to his dismay, saying Gamma always gets the "soft job". When he talks he uses many atlantean slang words. He is also shown to have the abilities to breath underwater and Enhance his strength with rune like tattoos, like Aqualad's
Nora West-Allen
XS is a Lesbian in the the Flash tv show, and I will be honestly I lowkey thought she was a Lesbian in canon. Also I forgot how much I love a lot of her art in the comics, she has such a good design
Joshua Williamson has stated that XS will show up at somepoint in the upcoming Legion of Superheroes book, so if you do like her as a character checking that out might be worth it
Penguin
Specifically queer and has feelings for the Riddler in the later half of the Gotham tv show. I would also like to mention that I really liked this show and his character within that show
Lena Luthor
Is interested in women within the Smallville tv show, I also thought she was queer in the supergirl show, but maybe all those edits got me
Tess Mercer was born as Lutessa Lena Luthor as the daughter of Lionel Luthor and Pamela Jenkins. After a few years, Lutessa was give up to an orphanage, run by Granny Goodness. Granny trained Lutessa to become the leader of her personal team - the Female Furies
Livewire
Is a lesbian in both the Harley Quinn show and in My Adventures with Superman
A popular vlogger who was well known for her makeup tutorials and pranks, Leslie Willis attempted to pull her biggest prank yet by rerouting Metropolis’ power grid to spell out a dirty word that could be seen from space. Her device was taken by Superman, but she insisted on attempting to carry out her plot anyways. When it went awry she was electrocuted, and so gained her electrokinetic powers
Stephanie Brown
Is specifically Bisexual in the Gotham Knights tv show.
Stephanie Brown is the daughter of Cluemaster. When he comes back into her life she finds her father back to his old tricks, except he no longer feels the need to leave clues behind. In an attempt to try and stop her father she created a costume of her own and began to call herself the “Spoiler”
Personally I love Stephanie Brown and I vote they make her Bi in canon and the reason dc won't do it is because they are cowards
Dr. Light (Hoshi), Big Barda, Lois Lane, Supergirl, Vixen, Hawkwoman, Mera, and Nell Little
Are all Sapphic or Bisexual are all in DC Bombshells, I'm not sure what was going on in that series that so many characters where queer but honeslty good for them
on the same note of DC Bombshells, Dinah Lance is actually Transfem within the series

I think people forget that in addition to all the shit that Dick goes through in the YJ animated show, like losing Wally, countless betrayals/double agent-y stuff, losing even more teammates, watching Babs get paralysed, etc, Dick also lost Jason in that universe.
And we don't really get to see much of it, we get a glimpse of it only when Dick himself tells Tim "Just don't die", and later when Kaldur says "Now Jason is dead".
But Dick goes through that too. Despite all the suffering he was put through ever since S1 basically (Haly's, failsafe, "I don't want to be the Batman", ...), we collectively need to remember that he lost Jason too, there.
Not to mention, the potential that the next season has (they must make it.) with the Sanctuary.
Guys, when I said "The ideal of a friendship/love so deep it transcends time and space. Two guys who are so destined that they literally could not stop themselves from being drawn toward the other if their life depended on it", I wasn't just waxing poetry. I meant that shit.
Lexie to Jon and Damian in Earth 16:
What can I say? Wozwald has always given me Bart from the YJ cartoon in a post-apocalypse vibes. Music video is originally in black and white, but I also did a version with color and lowkey think I like it more? based on this video
