(I work on my self love daily. #Mentalhealth is a big part of my journey and will be. I have fought depression my whole life and want to start talking more openly about it to break the stigma) - - I’ve realized I only show you the pics that don’t show all of my extra skin hanging. I have convinced myself that it’s something that people don’t want to see on their feed so I have tried to manicure my progress photos and life to try to keep my extra skin out of them. I am realizing that this is in turn making me not love myself like I should so I’m going to stop letting myself filter that part of my journey out. #effyourbeautystandards 💅🏻 - - Yes I did have a #tummytuck (swipe) but we knew that I would have more skin just because of how big I was. I have the option of going back for my revision but not sure when or even if at all. The extra skin I have shows people without even having to say a word how hard I have worked. If you have extra skin you should wear it proud too! 😘 I just wanted to put this out there mainly for myself but also for anyone else Who has looked at my page or pictures and questioned where all of the skin that held over 400lbs just disappeared to. Lol. I promise I still have a lot of it, but as you can see it’s not bad. It’s just skin. Ok friends, I'm looking for some suggestions...

Real talk. I'm trying to potentially combat the loose or excess skin that is left behind after weight loss. I know some people have resilient skin in their genetics and I do not believe I am one of those people. I know building muscle fills some of the excess skin, but not all of it. I know skin removal surgeries are a possibility. While I am in awe of both the bravery and amazing results that people have had from such surgeries, I do not see myself going this route. I could not bring myself to do anything as drastic, as having my gall bladder removed ten years ago felt invasive and like a tough recovery. I am currently trying some skin firming creams. I am wearing compression clothes to bed. I sometimes make a homemade wrap with clay. I am looking for your suggestions! What has worked for you? What products or processes do you recommend? The last time I lost weight I found myself discouraged by the loose skin on my body and as such had a hard time seeing my results. Thank you for any advice you have!

A lot of new people have asked me where the #excessskin from my 200lb weight loss is. Well I got it removed 3.5 months ago with a #tummytuck I am going to get my flank skin removed at some point to finish my journey but for now this is how it is. My amazing doc @drpiazza did it for me and will be doing my next one as well. I did all of this with diet and exercise alone. I didn't have weight loss surgery or anything other than the skin removal. #throwbackthursday (at Austin, Texas)

Happy #flexfriday ! I still have a lot of muscle to build, but i think I see some little muscles popping up under the loose skin on my arm!
