If the Marauders worked together in a fast-food restaurant (1): The Setup
Remus is the shift manager. He's the most responsible and he's able to stay the most level-headed when there's an issue with something or someone. Also, everyone in the store genuinely just really likes and respects him so his shifts are always running smoothly. The only thing that could potentially get him in trouble is the fact that he's in a relationship with Sirius. But they were already dating when they were hired on, and if anything, Remus is harder on Sirius because of it. Apparently, so long as they get their shit done and don't start making out on their shifts or anything, the company is willing to turn a blind eye to it.
Peter works in the grill. Like he's a fucking god back there. Do you need a sandwich done properly and quickly? Excellent. Pete's got it. No problem. He also just sort of takes things in stride. If there are a ton of orders on the screen, he just handles it efficiently with a cool and level head no matter how ridiculous the order may seem.
James is the main service person. Remus may be the manager, but James is the most personable of them all and the old ladies adore him and he knows his favorites all by name. Most of the time, if there's a problem, Remus isn't even needed because James can usually handle it with a smile. He does have his rare moments where he can't handle it and his anger gets the best of him and in moments like that, he gets Remus instantly because, and I quote myself here, "If he has to handle it, he's going to jail."
Sirius is cross-trained but prefers service. There are plenty of customers who adore him and some will even blatantly flirt with him. Remus will put him in the grill as a form of punishment if he starts getting a bit too snippy with the customers. He also does this when Sirius seems to flirt back. He definitely isn't the worst in the grill, but he doesn't hold a candle to Peter back there. He isn't bad at it in any sense, his heart is just never in it, and he tends to get really angry at a lot of the orders. Like, "Are you fucking kidding me? Why do they need four fucking double quarters?!"
The four of them on the same shift are the strongest and they could run the whole store with just them even through a massive rush. But while they are inarguably the best team, they also have a reputation for having the absolute most chaotic shifts in the company.
Hence, the purpose of this little series of mine! ^.^
