How many alters do you have max? 12? 45? 100? Would you ever be willing to make a systok? Where you make relatable system skits? Sort of like theAsystem?
There are more than 12 but not everyone wants to be known.
Idk who that is. But I will never make any systok as the platform is ruled by bad men, too much pedophilia, horrible community, horrible commenters, just a genuinely miserable place so no, I won't be making skits with my headmates, sorry to break it to ya
this is a new culture blog like plural-culture-is but for specifically mixed origins systems. pretty sure there have been other blogs with this premise in the past but i can't find any that are still active so that's why i'm starting this up
all submissions should start with a variation of "mixed origins culture is..."
"multigenic culture is..." and "polygenic culture is..." are valid submissions and so are labels within mixed origins ("traumaendo culture is...", "isoscegenic culture is..." etc.)
i might answer plurality-related questions but it's not guaranteed
hate will be deleted so don't bother
UPDATE: signoffs will be assumed as anon signoffs unless otherwise specified. [a] of [b] will also be tagged as simply -[b] for simplicity
Platogenic: An origin label under the multigenic umbrella, specifically describing plurality that was formed due to being both traumagenic and endogenic.
Ever since @gift-basket-system coined isoscegenic, we've been thinking about how a lot of mixed origin terms could be coined!! So we thought we'd put some out into the world~ based on our own experiences and the input of some others!!
compogenic: a system member that stems from multiple/mixed origins, but said origins are either unclear or they don't wish to be identified.
(Compound - A substance that is made up of more than one atom bonded together)
ixturgenic: a system member that stems from mixed origins and feels that their origins affect their identity or functioning in prominent, separate "parts".
(mixture - a combination of two or more elements or compounds which have not reacted to bond together; each part in the mixture retains its own properties)
divergenic: A system that has subsystems or sidesystems of a different origin, making the system as a whole mixed.
(Divergent - tending to be different or develop in different directions)
hazygenic: A system that knows they are of mixed origins, but can't discern the origin of most of their members.
(Haze - a slight obscuration of the lower atmosphere, typically caused by fine suspended particles)
ethergenic: A system that has both thoughtforms/tulpas and soulbonds in prominent enough amounts that the system as a whole feels like their origins are both.
(Ether - space, stillness, that which contains and holds. The implication being that both thoughtforms and soulbonds come "from the ether" of sorts)
Diformogenic: A system that has thoughtforms/tulpas of both psychological and metaphysical emergences, and feel the two are separate enough to consider them different origins.
(Formo - derivative of "thoughtform". Di - a prefix meaning “two,” “twice,” “double”)
morphogenic: A rough synonym for Originflux. A mixed system that started out as one origin, however a majority of members identify with a different origin, making the original one much less prominent.
(Metamorphosis - a change of the form or nature of a thing or person into a different one)
We needed an origin term that described us. So we made one.
There is not much of a mixed origins/polygenic/multigenic plural community. Whether this is because these terms are unknown or there just aren't many polygenic systems is unknown to us, but we do identify as polygenic... Somewhat.
We ID as polygenic, but mainly as traumagenic, because that's what we know started our system. We are in a weird area where our origins as a system are definitely one thing (trauma), but some of our members have different origins on a personal level (weren't formed from that trauma). It's like you build a house for a family that's in the cold and then others starting calling the house their home, too. The vagueness of "polygenic," and the limiting implications of just "traumagenic,"* just did not work for us.
*many people have the mistaken belief that if your system formed due to one cause, all headmates have to have the same origin. This misconception is partly due to how this is how it works for most systems. It circles back to there not being a large mixed origins community.
So here's our system flag and term: isoscegenic!
[ID: two matching flags with seven stripes, one with text and one without. The colors of these stripes, from top to bottom, are: indigo, cerulean, cyan, sandy tan, orange, strawberry red, and burgundy. The text on the second image, with one line per stripe, are as follows: one main system origin; not fitting perfectly into origin communities; spiritual and purposeful origins; communication and hope for plural acceptance; natural, spontaneous, and trauma origins; complexity due to being polygenic; differing origins among headmates. / End ID]
The definition of isoscegenic is: a system that has one primary origin/cause for its formation, but also has a few members that don't have the same origin as the system as a whole. For example, a system that may have formed through trauma, but later in life created a few thoughtforms on purpose or had a few spiritual walk-ins.
The term was inspired by "polygenic," which isoscegenic systems can also ID as. "Poly" makes us think of polygons, which made us think of isosceles triangles!
It's pronounced eye-soss-uh-genic
Maybe one day there will be a larger multigenic community, and this term will be used more often. For now, we don't mind if we are the only ones to use this term, because it is important to us and accurately describes our gray area between endogenic and traumagenic. We're isoscegenic.
Edit: we've made this correction before, but wanted to add it to the original post. When we said "natural systems", we meant systems who have been systems from birth and/or systems who have unknown/mystery origins. We just couldn't think of the words at the time. Our bad!
