How cool would it be if Jaune did team attacks with RWBY?

@razorblade180 wrote some awesome short stories detailing Jaune’s team attacks with Ruby, Yang, Weiss and Blake. I’m just thinking how amazing it would be if that actually happened in the show! Man, it would be a treat to watch!

Who should be the one to kill Cinder?

Should it be Jaune or Ruby? As far as I know, neither of them have ever taken a human life before. (Correct me if I’m wrong). Plus, it would be an interesting angle to explore with these two characters. After so long killing Grimm, they’re faced with a tough decision to kill another human. Even after all the atrocities she’s done, this moment would be something that they can never take back and will haunt them forever.

What do you guys think? Who should be the one to finally kill that witch? One thing I don’t want to happen is Ruby and Jaune doing a double kill because we already had that moment when Blake and Yang killed Adam. In this case, only one of them has to kill Cinder. Personally, I’m hoping it’s Ruby.

This is something I’ve thought about for a while and I’ve seen a few discussions on it, but now I want to ask the direct questions to you guys.

The Potential Dark Twist : Dreaming of Distant Lands

This is a POTENTIAL origin story. May not stick to it but I do like the idea of it~

The player wont find this out for a while... Make sure its clear that the player is afraid of normal humans. Going into their villages is dangerous... The player doesn't know how to talk to them, and struggles to even figure out how to stand around them.

When the player finally finds their home village again they find the whole place in ruins... it looks like it has been in ruins for centuries... Finding the skeletons of animals all over the village...

Getting back to your home you find the house still there but in ruins... Just barely livable.

The only thing within is a Kitsune. Staring at the player intently, its ten tails fluffing before settling down... Somehow the player recognizes the Kitsune... "M-Mom?" you ask tentatively. Eyes filled with tears as reality comes crashing down... The kitsune slowly walks up to you and rubbing against your leg before going outside. Into the forest. Following it you find it shows you a vision of the truth. A Memory of how a woman ran into the forest with a baby in her arms. Arrows shot and she comes crashing down. The baby falling from her arms and rolling under the roots of a tree. Some soldiers with the crest of the Emperor come riding over on horse back. Checking to make sure the woman was dead. Muttering angrily over the "Mongrel Child" being missing. Then after they leave a nine tailed fox comes into the clearing. Sniffing the dead body only to be startled by the sound of a baby crying. Looking around urgently. Noticing the baby under the tree. Pulling the child out. Poised to Kill it... And yet... It slowly settled... Looking to the mother... Picking up the baby and padding off.

The Player chases after the illusion and sees the kitsune coming upon a ruined village. Numerous people dead... It seems surprised to see all the death and destruction. Seeming to have wanted to drop off the baby here with the humans but unable to now... Growling a bit in anger as it went up to one of the houses. Setting the baby on a pillow and looking for food. Confused as the baby was unable to eat... Eventually finding a bucket of goat milk and gently feed the baby with it. The Kitsune picks out eight bodies of dead animals in the village and with each a tail faded as it was animated. Coming to life as Faux Humans to help maintain the village. Clearing out the human corpses and patching up only what they needed to. Finally the illusion of the kitsune shifts into a human form and cradles the baby... "We... are no longer alone sweet one," the fox turned human said softly.

The illusion ended and the ten tailed fox was all that was left sitting where the illusion of the Player's mother once was.

"Mom?" the player asks as they fall to their knees. Hugging the fox. The fox nuzzles the player for comfort. Happy to have them here.

the kitsune relishes the hug before fading away into divine life. Leaving behind a series of Bamboo tubes sealed with paper. Tied together and each marked with a Fox Face.

After the player finishes the cutscene you are given a chance to go down a Beast Path thanks to the Fox Rods. You can research the Artefact and find it is a path to immortality... But its through accepting ones instincts. Your innate urges and how it connects you with the world around you. A Body and Soul path. If you go down this path your character slowly becomes a fox themself.

I also considered a Dragon version of this for the player growing up as the child of a River Dragon instead. Finding a path to Immortality by developing ones Soul and Mind instead. Learning in the Dragon Palace and alongside the Princess what it means to be a dragon. It could be a choice from the Mountain the player could make from what they do, and later you find out during the Village Scene~
